The Girl Who Could See Ghosts

Summary:

When I was reading a fanfic, I came up with this idea as a continuation of it. pikku_kani, you inspired me to write this, and I have made it as a gift for you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clementine has been able to see ghosts for as long as she could remember. The first time she saw a ghost, it was that of her mother, who died in childbirth. After that incident, she saw more and more ghosts, but never told anyone, got fear of what they might do. When she turned nine, she snuck into an abandoned theater, not knowing that she would meet a mysterious ghost.

Thank you again pikku_kani, without you I wouldn't have had the inspiration to write this. Thank you for the fanfic you wrote, and for inspiring me.

Also, this takes place years after the ending of the phanfic that inspired this story.

Notes:

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Clementine; a young orphan girl, who, although she seems normal, hides a huge secret. That secret is her ability to see and communicate with ghosts. This may seem like an amazing ability, but to her, it's more of a curse. Her mother had died during childbirth, leaving her father to raise a kid on his own. When Clementine was only four years old, her father died in a car crash. With no known living relatives, she was brought to an orphanage. The orphanage wasn't all that great, and she was often hungry. During her time at the orphanage, she saw the ghost of her mother, but she chose to keep it to herself, worried what might happen if people found out about it. This went on for four and a half years, and nobody found out about her secret. When she turned eight and a half, she ran away from the orphanage, as she was worried one of the other kids might have found out that she could interact with ghosts.

She lived on the streets, managing to get enough for for her still growing body. She roamed around, never starting in one once for too long. After living on the streets for almost six months, she managed to sneak into an abandoned theater. When she walked in, she felt a sense of sadness and grief wash over her, but she brushed it off. Little did she know, she would meet a ghost that would change her life.
