Deku-The Vigilante that Doesn't Cry

Summary:

Age 3. That's when it all went wrong for Izuku. He supposes he was doomed much before that, but the starting point was then and has always been then. Izuku wanted nothing more than to go back to when he was three and just get rid of himself before he realized it yet. Before three, he didn't know of the worlds sins. He didn't know it was cruel and unforgiving. He was so fucking lucky, that little bastard. Now, Izuku roams the streets as the Vigilante, Deku, and bathes in the worlds sins. He is one of them, after all.
-----------

Chapter Text

Age 3 - ten days before Izuku’s birthday
—-----------
“Izuku, I love you so much” Inko was holding onto Izuku’s small figure, clinging on to him like he was her only lifeline. That day, Izuku’s daddy threw his mummy into the wall and left after a generous amount of yelling and fighting. Izu didn’t understand why his daddy hurt his mummy or why he left, but he knew his mummy needed him, “I love you too, mummy,” Izuku hugged her, clutching onto the back of her shirt. They both stayed on the floor crying and hugging for 30 minutes, at least Izuku thinks so, time passes weird when you’re mummy’s crying. He was sad his daddy left, but of course he still had mummy and Kacchan, so it wasn’t all that bad. His daddy was weird anyway, Izuku didn’t need him. He just needed his mummy and his best friend. At age 3, Izuku Midoryia decided he didn’t need a dad.

Age 4.5
—------------
“Kid, it’s best you give up.” The doctor said to Izuku like it didn't shatter his whole world. Izuku heard his toy drop to the ground and his mummy gasp. He didn’t hear much after that. He didn’t hear the receptionist talking to his mummy, he didn’t hear his mummy sobbing as they walked to the car, he didn’t hear the car start. He just heard the doctor’s words over and over, that Izuku was quirkless. What about Kacchan? What about their dreams? Of course Kacchan will still love him all the same but… he couldn’t be a hero..? No. Izuku refused to accept that. He didn’t know how he would do it, but he would be a hero. At age 4, Izuku Midoryia was sure he would become a hero. No matter the odds.

Age 5 - July 15th
—----------
Izuku landed on the ground with a thump, dust pillowing around him. “Stupid Deku,” Kacchan, his best friend, said as he let a few explosions go. He kicked Izuku one last time before Kacchan and his friends left Izuku behind, with tears streaming down his face. Izuku never thought his best friend could ever be so mean to him. How could Kacchan be so cruel? Izuku knew it was because of his lack of quirk, that’s when it started after all. Izuku wished he knew how to get a quirk. He would do anything just to be Kacchans favorite again. At age 5 Izuku learned that life hardly ever goes your way. But he still had his mummy. Everything will be fine. Izuku doesn’t have a daddy or a best friend, but he has his mummy and his dreams. Nothing could take those two things away from him.

Age 6 - July 15th
—------------
Izuku jumped out of bed on his 6th birthday, he was becoming such a big boy!! Izuku was so excited to wake his mummy up that he tripped on his way over and fell flat on his face. Izuku was a big boy now, though, so he didn’t even cry! He brushed himself off quickly and ran over to his mummy’s room, his knee in pain but there was no time for that. He knocked on his mummy’s door loudly. No answer. He knocked again. There wasn’t a single sound to be heard on the other side of that door. No sheets moving, no bed creaking from his mummy getting up, nothing. Izuku didn’t know his mummy was such a heavy sleeper, she was always awake before him. It was stuck. Odd. Mummy never locked her door in case Izuku got nightmares, why couldn’t he open it?

Izuku wasn’t going to give up on seeing his mummy, so he tugged harder this time. He pulled and pulled until he landed right on his bum. By then, Izuku was overwhelmed and tears flowed from his eyes. Izuku was so frustrated. His mummy wasn’t answering the door, he fell on the cold floor, and his knee hurt! Izuku just wanted to see his mummy. Racking tears were spilling out of Izuku’s eyes onto the cold, wood floor and he started smashing his fists into the door, wanting nothing more than a grunt in response. Izuku slammed his left fist into the door, and then his right, his left fist, and then his right, over and over again until he couldn’t feel his hands anymore and his knuckles were red from blood. The door was still closed and Izuku still couldn’t hear his mummy.

Izuku didn’t know what to do. How could he open his mummy’s door? Why did his mummy even lock the door in the first place? Did his mummy not love him anymore? Did his mummy not want to see him on his birthday? Most of all, why did his knee hurt so much? Then, Izuku remembered where his mummy kept the key to her room. He specifically told him that, in case something happens, a key to her room is in a box under the loose floorboard in his room. Izuku was told this months ago, so he couldn’t remember where the loose floorboard was, but after a lot of tugging on the floor, he found the key! Now, he could finally open up his mummy’s door to wake her up for his birthday!!

Izuku ran back over to his mummy’s door, and after safely making it over he unlocked the door, finally! Izuku grabbed the doorknob and opened the door to see his mummy in bed. As Izuku walked closer, he noticed the blood. So much blood. It was all over mummy’s blankets and clothes, and the source of it was none other than his mummy herself. “Mummy… please mummy” Izuku pleaded while running over to his mummy’s side. She was covered in her own blood and had a knife plunged into her stomach. Not only was blood surrounding her stomach wound, but also the slit in her throat. Izuku was so confused. What happened to his mummy? Why wouldn’t she wake up? Then Izuku saw a white paper next to his mummy’s bed. It was a large piece of notebook paper with blood splattered on it that read;

“My dear Izuku, if you got into this room I’m so sorry. I really hope you got help and didn’t have to witness this yourself, my poor baby. I hope you know that I love you so much and none of this is your fault. I have and always will love you, no matter what. Just because mummy won’t be around anymore doesn’t mean she doesn’t love you. Please live a wonderful and fruitful life, my darling boy. All I ask is that you grab mummy’s phone from the bottom drawer of the table you got this from and call the number “110” You can do that, right? They will help you. I love you, Izuku.”

Izuku couldn’t believe this was happening. What does she mean she won’t be around anymore? Mummy was right there, why doesn’t she just wake up? Izuku sat on the ground while his tears smacked onto the floor. He wanted to be a good boy for mummy and call 110 but he couldn’t make himself get up and do anything. He sat on the floor and cried. He cried and cried and cried, until he couldn’t cry anymore. Then, Izuku opened the drawer and called the number, his hands shaking. “Hello, how can I assist you?” The officer calmly asked Izuku. Izuku sat there for a long time, sniffling on the phone. He didn’t know what to say at all. How could he tell them that his mummy won’t wake up? How will they help him? Will they get his mummy to wake up? “Hello?” The officer said, concerned about the lack of a response. “...My knee hurts,” Izuku told the lady before bursting into tears.

At age 6, Izuku Midoryia was left with just his dreams.
