Zhizhi slowly opened her eyes, the light from the gap of the curtain and window near her bed somehow managed to seep inside her room and fall upon her face, but that's not the one who made her slowly regain her consciousness in the early morning.
" bzzttt.. bzzttt..."
It's the non-stop buzzing of her phone. She extends her arms and blindly reaches the buzzing phone on the nightstand.
She probably could just wake up and easily reach it, but that's also what's made her realize that right now her limbs are tangled, there is a hand hugging her naked hips and she-in fact also naked under the cover.
Her mind was still trying to process in the morning, between the non-stop buzzing of her phone and a soft chest on her left hand, the hand that was hugging her hips suddenly grabbed her hand, stopping her from reaching her own phone.
"Later..."
There is this low whisper in her ear, soft yet also carrying a tone of a little annoyance and possessiveness.
"But Doctor-"
Here came her little protest and frown but the one called doctor didn't even listen to her protest. Instead, she took Zhizhi's hand and put it on her very own naked hips as well, while turning the Chinese woman to look at her.
Her frown was still there while the buzzing sound of her phone already died down. The said doctor only chuckled and leaned towards her, softly kissing her frown.
"Didn't I tell you to stop calling me Doctor when we are alone?"
"Miss Campbell?"
Zhizhi's tone didn't have a hint of playfulness, it sounded neutral, and her voice was still a bit raspy in the morning. However, the doctor who is now softly caressing her thumb on Zhizhi's cheek only raises one of her eyebrows, a gesture that probably a lot of people have never seen before, and it's mostly reserved for her. The doctor- Tooth Fairy rarely expresses herself, her tone is gentle, her expression is serene and calm (unless something made her angry) but with her, there are other emotions she could see in private, just like right now.
"Are we having tooth fairies for breakfast?"
She tilted her head a bit, and Zhizhi was sighing in defeat. She called her by her first name, not Doctor, not Tooth Fairy, not Miss Campbell, it's just her first name. A name that was rarely said by others but not her and it made the taller woman have a smug face, not too smug but Zhizhi knows it well she has the upper hand than her and Zhizhi would let her be.
Zhizhi knows her name, hence as a St. Pavlov worker of course she paid attention to everyone not to mention the said Tooth Fairy who also has a name on their organization. The routine of taking care of the children made her meet the other often back in the days, a small banter and some little gifts from the doctor whenever she was back from her travel made them close and it was one day after Vertin teeth checkup. Tooth Fairy called her to talk.
It was a regular talk between two co-workers, until their laughter died down after talking about kids in the Foundation and when they realized it, they've been too close to each other.
Zhizhi has good memories, but she wouldn't really want to remember how it happened, all she remembered was, it tasted like a mint and plum when Tooth Fairy kissed her. By the taste of it, her rational mind could tell that the doctor was just consuming one of her tooth fairies, but she chose to ignore it. Even if she isn't really fond of the creature itself, she closed her eyes and let herself drown in their kisses, let herself feel her touch on her hips, her thumb on her cheek and the gasp she let out when she lightly nips on her lower lips.
The rest was just history after that, her train of memories on her head cut shortly after the doctor kissed her nose and down to her lips. A soft morning kiss after a night of passion.
"I like it when you call my name, Zhizhi"
Zhizhi only chuckles, both of being kissed down to her neck that tickles her and also because Tooth Fairy called her by her birth name, not Z, not Miss Z, or even Madam Z like everyone else.
The first time she mentions that she wants to know how to pronounce her name, Zhizhi only giving her a surprised look.
"pardon.. What?.. You- you want to know how to say my name? Like how to pronounce my birth name?"
"hmm, yes, I want to know how to pronounce it."
"It might trouble you Doctor, you might just call me like others. Madam Z, Miss Z or Z to your liking, it's fine."
Instead of getting an agreement the doctor put down her glass jar on Zhizhi's table. A frown marring on her face. It's a subtle sign that she wasn't amused nor did she accept her answer.
"I just-"
"it's Zhizhi, Zhang Zhizhi"
Ever since they started going out with each other, they never really had an argument. Maybe due to their workload or maybe because they are often being apart (with how Tooth Fairy going here and there across the globe) and maintain their respect for each other, there has been no room for an argument to start between them and Zhizhi won't let this one being a start of it.
"-pardon?"
"Zhizhi, Zhang Zhizhi"
"zhi...?"
The Tooth Fairy slowly tried to mimic how Zhizhi said her name. She is a fast learner by nature but still, it's a whole new language for her and she is willing to try to learn it.
"... zhi"
"zhi?"
"yes, like that"
"Zhang?"
"it's Zhang"
Zhizhi attentively guides her and her lips unconsciously curved into a smile seeing her lover trying her best following her on pronouncing her birth name.
"Zhang..?"
"Yes, Zhang"
"Zhang..."
"yes"
"... Zhizhi"
"yes"
"Zhang...Zhizhi....Zhang Zhizhi?"
"Correct."
She smiles and it is mirrored back on Tooth Fairy’s face. It might look a bit out of character seeing the said Tooth Fairy smiling like this. She usually only offers a small smile to the kids or patients she treats, but now her smile is akin to a child who just finished doing something good and getting praise for her doing.
“Zhang Zhizhi, Zhang Zhizhi…”
“What is it, doctor? Why are you smiling like that?”
“Cute, it's pretty, I like it.”

There is this nonchalant answer from the said doctor, it was laced with ignorance-something that Zhizhi wouldn't really associate with the doctor, but when it comes to the time like this, Zhizhi knows it well, it's maybe one of the traits that she has.
Her previous kisses on her neck have already gone lower to the junction between her neck and her shoulder and somehow, she kisses lower to her collarbone, lightly nipping her skin and giving a kitten-ish lick. Zhizhi knows her marks from the previous night might already start blooming this morning, but the said doctor-Tooth Fairy might also not “really care”. In fact, she might even leave more marks if she continues what she is doing to her right now.
It was way back then when she realized that Tooth Fairy had this tendency to bite her. Zhizhi was a delicate person, although she is strong with her opinion Tooth Fairy was not that different either, she wasn’t someone who would hold back her thought and it’s actually shouldn’t be a surprise that Tooth Fairy asked her first about the matter,
“Can I leave a mark?”
“... Hmm? What do you mean Doctor?”
“From what I’ve seen, your skin is quite easy to bruise with marks, you may not like it when I leave one. So, I asked you first. Can I?”
“Yes, but if I asked you not to, would you listen to me?”
Instead of answering it, the Doctor only let out a small chuckle and that actually should be a sign for her to understand that her lover would “ignore” her when it comes to something like this.
“Yes, I’d try to listen.”
A promise, indeed. But somewhere back in her mind told her, Tooth Fairy wouldn’t really listen to her. A mark is a sign of possession and if it means she is her’s then Zhang Zhizhi wouldn’t really mind indulging… As long as it’s not going to trouble both of them.
However for now, Zhizhi isn’t really sure if the marks her lover leaves wouldn’t be a problem. Yes, she dresses modestly because it’s on their uniform code on the Foundation but Zhizhi herself was sure, Tooth Fairy was leaving a few marks higher than the collar of her shirt could cover.
“Do.. Doctor..”
“Hmm~”
Still, she only receives a playful “hum” in return, something you wouldn’t really think the said-“Tooth Fairy” could do. Her kisses are now going lower than before, it reaches her cleavage at this point and for some reason Zhizhi could say that Tooth Fairy was taking her time there, kissing some hickeys she left before around her cleavage and chest, a gentle gesture as a loving sign and a “small” sorry-not sorry for “marred” her perfect milky white skin. Slowly, their position switched with Tooth Fairy now above her and the blanket that was covering them from the night before also coming off, uncovering their still very naked bodies.

“Have I ever not listened to you?”
Her rational mind might start to list every time Tooth Fairy “not listening” to her, but seeing the same smile that mirrored her own smile she was just going to leave that behind. She proceeded to reach her arms to tuck some of her hair behind her ear, brushing her cheeks without the metal braces her parents made for her.
“You are beautiful, Doctor.”
“I can say the same about you.”
She kissed her palm while she closed her eyes before she leaned down to kiss her lips. “I love you” was whispered in between their kisses. There is no rush on their kisses, they are both taking their time feeling each other. That’s until Zhizhi trying to remind her-
“We ..mmh.. Still have to work..”
“I.. Mmh.. Already asked for an annual leave…”
-and Zhizhi abruptly tried to stop her kisses, pushing the woman above her. She blinked her eyes and frowned again just like when the taller woman asked her to not pick up her phone before, Tooth Fairy only tilted her head in confusion.
“You did?”
“I did, and it's for both of us.”
There, the woman above her smiled fondly and took her hand on her chest that was pushing her before, kissing it softly. But the shorter woman underneath her perplexedly looked back at her with her frown.
“For both of us? That’s impossible-” There is no way Tooth Fairy could pull an annual leave for both of them if she hasn't even signed her own annual leave form, “-I still need to check up on Vertin and Joshua too I need to-” plus she still needs to check on the kids but,
“Shh-”
Zhizhi feels her finger on her lips, completely silencing her from stating that Tooth Fairy's previous statement is deemed impossible. Instead of being annoyed or angry, the woman above her still offers a fond smile and small laugh. But Zhizhi, Zhizhi- Miss Z need an explanation-
“Remember about the document I asked you to sign before I went for a trip?”
“Yes? I think I have reviewed it all. What’s wrong with that?”
“I know you were in a rush and a bit tired after you pulled an all-nighter, you weren’t in your best condition to focus. Perhaps, I should remind you too, that you can’t lie to a doctor.”
Tooth Fairy ended her little explanation with a kiss on her cheek, but still it’s not enough explanation and even they just being together for a while Tooth Fairy already could pick up Zhizhi’s little habit when she isn’t satisfied with the answer, even if Zhizhi already can tell that Tooth Fairy making her unknowingly signed her own annual leave form beforehand,
“Doctor…”
Zhizhi would call her by her title and followed by her first name. Although Tooth Fairy likes the way she calls her first name unlike anyone she knows, this kind of tone is only reserved if she wants an explanation, a clear one.
“You need a break and take care of yourself, or in this case I will be the one who takes care of you.”
“And does the Vice President agree with that?”
“Based on the phone call this morning, what do you think she is thinking right now?”
Zhizhi only can lay back defeated, placing one of her hands above her forehead and lightly massage it, a thing her parents used to do on her younger days and it works on her, to lessen her upcoming headache because of her lover's action. Reckless is not something she would associate with Tooth Fairy but maybe after taking care of the kids during her trip to the Green Lake, Joshua’s trait was rubbing on her.
Sensing her worry and probably “little disappointment” from the other woman, Tooth Fairy took her hand away from her forehead and gently kissed her there.
“You are not bribing me with that, Doctor.”
She laughed and kissed her down to her nose.
“I am not, you can rest assured you won’t face any consequences for that. I do apologise for making you sign an annual leave form, but I am the one who put you on this. Therefore, it will fall under my responsibility.”
“Hh… I’m more worried about you now.”
Tooth fairy held her hand again and brought it close to her lips, kissing her fingers, her knuckles and lastly her palm before she leaned down again to kiss her softly on the lips. All these gestures are so tender and it’s coming from someone who would beat a grown man until he lost his teeth. Zhizhi can’t help but let out a small laugh because she abruptly remembers about Tooth Fairy’s younger days.
“Hmm? Why are you laughing?”
“Nothing, I love you.”
“I know, I love you too.”
She knows Zhizhi must be thinking about something else but the tender look on her eyes when she looks at her, telling her that it’s nothing that she should be worried about. It’s mostly just Zhizhi and her own little silly thought that she was discovering when they started going out before, and she thought it was cute of her.
“Now, may I take care of you, Zhang Zhizhi?”
She closed her eyes and pulled her lover down for a kiss, she does miss her. Tooth Fairy hasn't even properly talked to her before she went back from her trip and departs to the Green Lake and maybe she was right, she needs a break and letting her lover take care of her once again after last night. And thus she whispered on her lips,
“Yes, you may take care of me.”

Not even a few minutes passed by after Zhizhi gave her permission to take care of her, Tooth Fairy kissed her on the lips for the last time before she continued what they left before. Things that she was supposed to do before Zhizhi stopped her to remind her that they still have a responsibility waiting for them on St. Pavlov. But now, Zhizhi is already laying bare just like the day she was born without a single cover.
