Goosebumps

Summary:

[The person in front of him had just barely reached out their hand. They timidly traced a finger over the back of his hand, gently and slowly. It tickled, so light was the touch, but Wei Wuxian didn’t think of laughing. His little finger twitched back, and the person’s touch vanished. [[Wait, no, come b--]], and he found their hand again.]

---

The kiss on Mount Baifeng, if it was slower, more consensual, and led to something more intense.

Notes:

Porn without plot, yay!

What it says on the tin - the first kiss scene, but with less running-up-and-kissing-someone and more carefully-testing-the-waters, which leads to more, because the latter is SO MUCH hotter.

Enjoy!

Work Text:

Wei Wuxian had to say, he was absolutely thrilled with himself. Not that he was a stranger to a certain smug sense of pride, but the crowd’s reaction after he hit that bullseye dead on, blindfolded, and especially how Jin Zixun’s face bulged up like a boiled tomato, well, that memory would occupy a special place in his heart for years to come. Even now, long after he’d left the square and was strolling through the forest of Mount Baifeng, he couldn’t stop grinning.

He halted in the middle of the road - even though his blindfold was thick, he wasn’t having too much trouble navigating the mountain - and yawned. When he reached his arms behind his head, his upper back cracked with a set of satisfying pops, and he shook his head back and forth. He wanted to get off the path, so in lieu of looking around for the most promising route, he picked a direction at random. A break, a snack, maybe even a little nap; it wasn’t like he was going to miss out on the hunt. Wei Wuxian nudged his way through the trees until he stumbled upon a thick root arching out of the ground and felt around until he found the tree it belonged to. He wedged into a nice, comfy spot between root and trunk, and laid his head back.

It was nice, actually, leaving the blindfold on. A bit of a challenge, sure, trying to find his way by relying on his other senses, but also a welcome little break. Even in nature, he'd easily get distracted, his eyes constantly scanning rocks, birds, slopes, contemplating the presence of hidden caves and potential lurking monsters. He generally enjoyed entertaining such thoughts, but now, resting against the tree, he appreciated giving his eyes a break.

Wei Wuxian dozed off, just a little, lulled into slumber by the warm air and the steady melodies of birds above. It was only when he heard - or felt - someone approaching that he jerked out of his daze. He froze. His left ear twitched, yes, someone was coming his way from the road. He’d walked a good bit before finding the tree; it’d be surprising if he was still close enough to the path to be seen. He’d certainly heard no one else around before. His heart beat fast in alarm, but the aura surrounding this person approaching - and it was a person, no doubt about that - was calm. A bit nervous, maybe, if he was reading it right, but they were more cautious in their approach than anything else.

Wei Wuxian hopped down from the tree. “You looking for an encore? Sorry, friend, I’ve run out of arrows, all I can do is play a little ditty on the flute.” He snickered and took his flute out of his belt to twirl it between his fingers. The person in front of him stopped dead. They sucked in a tight breath, and Wei Wuxian heard their feet shifting as if they were about to leave.

“Sorry, sorry! Don’t let me scare you away. You wanna join me on the hunt? I won’t admit it to anyone else, but if you want to tag along and be my eyes for me, well, we could split the bounty.”

The person audibly relaxed, and took another step forward. Wei Wuxian smiled. “Who are you, friend? Do we know each other?” No answer, but the stranger took another step closer. “Aw, c’mon now, at least introduce yourself! I wanna know who I’m... uh...”

The air was thick. Not thick like full of resentful energy, but thick like the buzzing above a meadow on a hot summer’s day. Wei Wuxian couldn’t tell what this person’s intentions were, what they were doing besides just standing there, probably looking at him like he was a deranged lunatic, but they weren’t moving. Their breath was shallow, and, shit, they were close enough that he could hear their heart pump in their chest.

“Are... are you ok?”

They didn’t reply, which was confusing. They were taller than him; they didn’t tower over him, didn’t cast him in shadow, but their presence was grandiose, elegant. Despite that, they were shaking in their boots like a frightened hare. Wei Wuxian gulped. He was about to reach up and pull the blindfold off when he stopped short. He felt a gentle swipe against his little finger, and froze.

The person in front of him had just barely reached out their hand. They timidly traced a finger over the back of his hand, gently and slowly. It tickled, so light was the touch, but Wei Wuxian didn’t think of laughing. His little finger twitched back, and the person’s touch vanished. Wait, no, come b--, and he found their hand again.

All Wei Wuxian heard was the person’s breathing, shallow and wavering, and the sound of his own heartbeat in his ears. All he felt was the stranger’s fingers dancing around his own. Who was this? He desperately wanted to know, but, then again, he didn’t. He would scare them away; their touch was so fragile that even a wrong gasp might make them turn and run. He took a deep breath.

The person’s knuckles brushed past Wei Wuxian’s, and they were tracing the folds of his palm. Their thumb rubbed against the back of his fingers, one by one. They both lifted their hands together, so slowly that Wei Wuxian barely realized it. Suddenly, their hands were between their faces, less than an inch away from each other’s lips.

The stranger dipped their head and nudged their nose against Wei Wuxian’s fingers. He sucked in a sharp breath, but they sighed deeply, as if they found peace in the touch. Then a gentle kiss pressed against the back of Wei Wuxian’s hand. He nearly gasped, and goosebumps shot up his arm. More kisses, one for each knuckle, then one on each finger, growing bolder each time. When they reached his last set of knuckles, at his fingertips, Wei Wuxian flicked a finger upward and caught onto their lip.

They froze again, but Wei Wuxian traced his finger across their lower lip. It was soft, like petals, not too full, but enticing. Their mouth dipped open, ever so slightly. He toyed with them, pulling down their lower lip, and a spark of glee gurgled somewhere in the base of his heart. The stranger worked against his finger, and then, ever so carefully, they kissed it.

Something boiled inside Wei Wuxian. He pushed his finger a hair’s width farther into the kiss, and the person gladly accepted. They kissed his fingertip, and he traced their lips. Then, it made him shudder from head to toe, their tongue flicked over his skin.

Now Wei Wuxian gasped. The stranger found his other hand and intertwined their fingers, all while they kissed and caressed him deeper with every heartbeat. The other fingers on Wei Wuxian’s first hand curled up against his new friend’s chin. They licked for one final time across his finger, then opened their mouth. Wei Wuxian nearly whimpered at the loss of the touch, but he lost his breath when his new friend’s lips met his.

They tumbled back and Wei Wixuan smacked against the tree. He wrapped his fingertips into the long hair behind his friend’s ear and tickled the spot beneath their earlobe. Their lips parted, and they kissed him deeper as he slowly ran his finger down their neck onto their collarbone. He gasped for air. He was dizzy, and he was sure that, even without the blindfold, the world around them would be too foggy to see anything. Sparks jumped up from his insides and crackled against his skin; he was shivering, sweating, gasping, breaking apart all at once.

Wei Wuxian could smell and hear his new friend, their heart pounding and their skin fragrant with the scents of soft flowers and linen, and determination. He could feel goosebumps wherever his finger traced. Then, his back flush against the tree, his friend pressed closer, and he felt everything at once. Their body was strong, warm, fierce, taut with muscles beneath too many layers of thick robes. He felt them between his hips - Wei Wuxian felt him between his hips, and when the mysterious man drove their hips together, Wei Wuxian jerked with a surge of heat. He hadn’t even realized what effect this was having on his own body, and when he rocked his hips back, a pleasure like he’d never felt before shot up through his spine and wrang a desperate moan out of his throat.

There were hands in his hair, lips on his ear, on his neck. He could hear the man’s breath, ragged, as he licked along Wei Wuxian’s skin, nibbling at his collarbone. Before he knew it, before he could understand what was happening, the man’s nose was nudging against his groin, and it felt so good, Wei Wuxian couldn’t, refused to feel anything else. It was so intense, so blinding, so powerful, that he didn’t know when the man unpacked him and took him in his mouth.

He’d never felt anything like this. A mouth folded around him, nudging forward and then backward, springing back and forth over the lip of his tip. A tongue licked around his head, traced soft, wet paths all over his skin, and warm hands wrapped around his shaft. His heart was about to burst out of his chest, but Wei Wuxian barely felt it. He was sliding back against the tree, the dry bark scratching his back and breaking off where his fingers dug into the trunk. He was about to pass out; if his friend kept doing that, he would; he’d fall over and die and never be reborn because the man was sucking his very soul out of his body. The sensation was so strong, so new, he didn’t know what hit him. He didn’t realize when his blood started to boil over, when the heat rose from his cock to the tip of his skull, because the person was soft, so much softer than he’d ever thought it could be, but still vigorous, with such a drive and purpose that he’d never seen before in his life. The man took him in again, deeper this time, and pulled his head back over Wei Wuxian’s lip with more pressure, just the right amount, just the right amount to send him soaring over the edge.

The whirlwind around him faded slowly. Wei Wuxian was left buckled against the tree, panting as the man’s hand continued to coax him up and down. Then there was a handkerchief on his cock, and the person put him away again. Wei Wuxian collapsed onto the ground, desperate to catch his breath. It took him a few moments to get back into himself, and when he did, he ripped off his blindfold.

His gaze fumbled through his surroundings, but the other man was gone. Wei Wuxian found no traces, not even a blade of grass disturbed, in any direction - neither toward the road nor deeper into the forest. It was as if he had disappeared into thin air. He raised a hand to his throat to check if his rampaging heart was still there, and shivered when he grazed the edge of his collarbone. The goosebumps the mysterious man had left were still there.
