I Do, Always

Summary:

Ky and Orion's honeymoon, in which Ky spoils Orion a little bit and they participate in healthy communication and also kiss a lot because they're married

Notes:

I can't help myself with this one, I'm hopeless. Again, Ky's skin is like orange soda orange, just remember to imagine that part, and Ori is 7'6. Vaerdoric, Orion's first language, is a click languages because I think click languages are really cool. I realized I haven't written Male Ori yet, or anything where Ori has more than a few lines of dialogue with her proper characterization. No smut in this one, sadly, but I might always update it. Shu may be my favorite character but Ky and Ori are my favorite couple.

Work Text:

Kyroneiac Rift laid back on a plush lounge chair on an isolated beach, watching the sun slowly drop beneath the waves and the three moons, all in slightly different phases, appear with the stars. Her newlywed wife laid cuddled up against her, her cheek pressed against her chest, one arm thrown across her waist. She looked perfectly calm, her eyes closed, relaxing on a warm summer evening. Ori hadn’t said a word the whole day, which was perfectly fine with her. Ky had learned to sign for a reason, after all. Ori had been terribly stressed with all the raucous wedding parties and the marriage ceremonies, and the quiet and solitude of their honeymoon was good for her. Shar Nura, ever perceptive, had literally thrown the keys to a royal vacation home at them and ordered them to not come back for “At least three months, kids.” It had been two weeks since then, and Ori had mostly recuperated. She was still getting used to the whole wives thing, and was blushing a lot more than she usually did. She still kept her cute sly smile on her face almost all the time, though her expressions changed a little more freely when they were alone together. Ky sighed, looking adoringly down at her resting wife, stroking her long blond hair and admiring her dinner outfit. Ori wore a nice powder blue blouse, paired with a long, flowing earthy brown skirt. She looked far more relaxed than in her wedding suit, which was a little tight and the usual family black and gold. She started the day in a pretty green dress, but Ky had forced her out of it after her little fishing trip. Ori had signed to her that she was going to go catch them fish for dinner, and Ky had responded in affirmation before going back to her knife making. Later, Ori had walked out of the sea carrying several large fish, a huge crab, and an eel. She had apparently killed them with her sword. This was nothing too out of the line, but her dress was covered in kelp and absolutely drenched through with saltwater. That would be the tailor’s problem, though. They had made dinner themselves, because Clara was teaching Orion how to cook and she was doing quite well. They ate a feast of sushi and fried fish, as Ori’s daily caloric intake was absolutely ridiculous. It was needed to maintain her gorgeous musculature, though, so it was accepted as another one of her eccentricities. Ori hadn’t wanted to talk the whole day, and hadn’t wanted to be touched for about half of it. She could be quite averse to touch sometimes, so Ky always made sure to ask carefully before laying a hand on her, even for the simplest and most inconsequential things. She had became less stressed as the day went on, which is how they ended up in this position. Ori wasn’t talking, but that wasn’t a problem. When she was comfortable, mostly with her family-including Ky-she spoke either in her first language or not at all, communicating in an honestly rather ancient version of sign language that all of her relatives understood to some extent. Ky smiled and gently tapped the side of Ori’s head to get her attention, signing out “Dessert in bed, little moon?” Ori looked up, the glow of her green eyes becoming visible in the orange of fading daylight. Ky always thought that she looked like a beautiful bronze statue, burnished golden skin and brilliant eyes like emeralds. She spoke, clicking in her lovely, melodic native tongue, “Perfect.” Ky felt her face soften considerably, moving one hand away from her hair to gently stroke her cheek. “Kisses in bed too, beautiful?” she said alluringly, and Orion’s smile got a little bit sly-er, leaning up and signing to ask for a kiss here first. Ky acquiesced, cupping her face and gently bringing their lips together, letting Ori melt into it. She then enacted her plan while her wife was dazed from the kiss, sweeping her into her arms and stepping off the chair, holding Orion like a princess. It was a slightly uncomfortable way to hold her, as Ori was nearly two feet taller and a bit heavy, but she managed. She could break a planet in half, of course she could pick up her wife. Orion blushed prettily, letting Ky carry her back up the cobblestone path to their cozy honeymoon estate, grabbing a box of luxurious Ragari chocolates that had been included with the house along the way. She made her way through the comfortable home, the cream-colored walls covered with works from the Nura family's favorite painters and the specially made ironwood furniture. She ended up in their bedroom, a lovely and extremely comfortable affair complete with a four-poster bed with silk drapes and a bird-dragon-down mattress. She gently deposited Ori down on the bed, pulling away to undress. By the time she climbed back onto the bed in her underclothes, Ori had removed her skirt and blouse and meticulously folded them, turning back and pulling Ky close against her, clicking to ask for the promised kisses. Ky straddled her newlywed wife, kissing her softly and sighing into her lips as her strong arms encircled her waist. Ori had never been thin or slender, and while she was not nearly as built as her closer sister, she was huge and beautifully muscular, a god of war dancing in the sky, and at the same time as sweet and docile and submissive as a puppy dog. Her eyes had a similar quality as she stared up a Ky, completely entranced and besotted. If Ky had possessed the blood vessels necessary to blush, she thought, she would be completely pink right now. She guided Ori down until she was laying back against the soft pillows, lips parted and cheeks alight in a beautiful golden blush, the most gorgeous woman Ky had ever laid eyes upon. “Do you want to make love tonight, my sweet little moon?” Ky asked, caressing her cheek and smiling down at her like she was an angel. “Not tonight, dearest hearth.” She answered. “Chocolate and kisses. And your arms, please, I missed them this morning.” Kissing her wife’s forehead, Ky murmured her affirmation, plucking a strawberry cream-filled chocolate from the multi-layered box and bringing it up to Ori’s mouth. Ori swallowed and opened her mouth, ever obedient, allowing Ky to feed her chocolates and keeping her arms tight around her. Eventually, they finished a whole layer of the box, and Ky set it on the bedside table to save for later. The two newlyweds slipped under the covers, multiple of them, because even on the coast the Ragari nights still got quite cold. Moons and such. Shar must have had a bed specially made for them, because it was built to perfectly fit Ori’s immense seven foot six height. Ky opened her arms for her wife, and Orion immediately cuddled up, holding her close and squishing her face into Ky’s soft, perfectly warm chest. She was so very warm, and Ori tended to become quite clingy when she was cold. Giving her forehead another soft kiss, Ky held her sweet wife close and got comfortable under the sheets. It was nice out here, peaceful and isolated but not lonely. They would have to get back to their homes and the Rift estate in another few months, but for now they could play at being normal people, wives or a husband and wife enjoying their cozy beach house, unaffected by war or godhood or nobility. Ky felt her eyelids getting a bit heavy, looking down to see Ori half-asleep against her chest, green eyes closed and peaceful. She reached up to run her fingers gently along her wife’s jaw, smiling warmly down at her. “I love you, Ori, my beautiful girl, my sweet little moon. I love you, I do, always.”
