Chapter 1: Morax's First Love

Chapter Text

Under the maidenhair tree a Ginkgo leaf is released from the palm of Morax's hand. The soft breeze allows the leaf to blow west.

"Got it!"

The golden leaf is caught and held in the palms of Ajax's hands. Bright and energetic as ever, that warrior is. He smiles and runs to the adeptus with the leaf still in his hand. Morax turns to him and gives a soft smile. It is only a matter of time Ajax seeks him out on the daily.

"Thought I'd find you here. You always love places with the best view of the land." The ginger haired warrior speaks again standing by the adeptus. He looks towards the grassy terrain. "The view was far better when both of my eyes worked. One definitely isn't enough." The man sighed and placed his hands on his hips.

Finally, Morax turned away from the view and stepped towards the warrior. Not long ago there had been a battle. Ajax had been unfortunate (or fortunate, is what Ajax had said) to get in the middle of the battle. His injured eye is a consequence. "How is your eye? Have you been putting a proper amount of medicine around it like I told you?" He holds his hands out and grabs ahold of the boy's face. Gently lifting the eyepatch to see how it's been healing.

Ajax blushes from the closeness and holds onto Morax's wrists. "Yes yes just like you told me to. See? I've learned from last time." He gives the adeptus a reassuring smile. It's hard not to lean into Morax's soft hands.

The adeptus sighs, "oh please, I wasn't too harsh on you. You're just careless and it gets you hurt sometimes. And I don't want to see you hurt, Ajax." Amber eyes hide and Morax's hands finally slide off the warrior's face. Ajax laughs and shakes his head, "I couldn't let that wound heal perfectly. I needed to leave a scar from your spear! A sign I got to battle the mighty Morax!"

’This warrior has no shame' Morax's eyes are closed, sparring Ajax from a scolding look.

Ajax asked to spar once. Morax had been hesitant but gave in and indulged the boy's curiosity. In the end he ended up almost cutting the warrior in half. Thankfully his spear was far enough to only cut the warriors side with minimal damage. Still, he felt incredibly guilty and insisted on helping the man recover. Ensuring the doctors had given Ajax the best medicine.

However, Ajax decided to let the wound heal the hard way. Allowing a new scar to form on his side.

"Anyways, I didn't come here without a goal. Guizhong wants to speak to you. For some reason she went to me to see you out instead of just finding you herself." Ajax's arms return to his sides. His robe flutters in the wind. Long hair tied up messily yet glows beautifully under the sun. A smile never leaves his face as he stares at the brunette.

Morax might know why. The girl has a knack for teasing him.

"Very well. Please, lead me to her. I hope she didn't interrupt any business you were tending to before seeking me out." Soft ambers finally open and look at the warrior.

He feels the warriors hand grab his and the next thing he knows, he's being dragged off towards his friend.

Ajax was known as the warrior always stuck to Morax's side. It's unclear how the two of them had met. A story only the two may only know.

Once the people of Guili Assembly caught wind of this young warrior always being by Morax's side of course the people would talk. Villagers loved to gossip and even traders would bring the gossip to other nations. Morax still remembers how fast Barbatos sought him out just to see if the rumors were true. Even trying to go as far as to find this young warrior. Morax was quick to make sure Barbatos didn't get very far with their little scheming and sent the Anemo God right back to Mondstadt.

But Barbatos wasn't the only one who had heard of the news.

"So, how is Ajax doing?"

Makoto picks up her teacup and tips a sip. Morax almost coughs his tea out. "So has everyone heard of the young warrior? I'm sure he's doing fine. Did Barbatos tell you about him?" He has to know who's telling everyone. He'd thought Barbatos had learned their lesson last time.

"Ah, no. Well he did tell Rukka but then she told me and of course the Love Goddess." Makoto set down her cup.

Right, the goddess of Wisdom of course went to Myrna; Goddess of Love. Morax refuses to blush at the thought. To think the gods were gossiping about the young warrior and him! Morax hopes the warriors' peers aren't doing the same. The soldiers would surely face a true scolding from the Lord of Geo if that were the case.

"I see. Well, he is just one of my warriors. Nothing more than that." He claims.

Makoto smiles behind her hand. It isn't common for a god to have a lover. In the end it is the mortal who always falls first. However, Makoto sees love as something beautiful no matter what. A god shouldn't have to suffer the feeling of loneliness. She's glad to hear that someone is keeping Morax company through his years as a god.

"Very well then. I'm pleased to hear you've made such an energetic friend." The goddess doesn't push any answers out of him.

Under the Sakura tree the two of them drink Inazumas specialty tea. A special blend Makoto had insisted Morax try during his visit. "How is Lady Ei? It's been awhile since I've seen the young one." He tries to move the topic away from his life. Catching up with a friend is why he's here after all. A shame Ei is not here to join them.

»»-------¤-------««

"Let's see... Increased heart rate, staying close to each other almost all the time, getting flustered by the flirty comments Ajax makes... Mm, yeah I'd say you're in love." Guizhong lists them off with her fingers

This does not make him feel any better. It wasn't the answer he wanted from her. "I do not get flustered. Ajax compliments everywhere like he compliments me. Is it not natural for a friend to show positivity to another?" The Adeptus frowns behind his cup of tea. It's not even enough to soothe these unknown emotions running through him. And here he thought Guizhong's wisdom would help ease him.

The goddess sighs, she doesn't even hide the eye roll. "Oh no, he definitely doesn't do that with others. That man will do anything if it means seeing you. He'll take every opportunity to talk to you and make you feel happy. He even collected Ginkgo leaves for you, Morax. Ginkgo leaves. You and I both know what that symbolizes." She points out.

Ever since Ajax had caught the leaf and Morax explained to him that it meant elegance and fertility, he's been given a Gingko every time they meet. Ajax always has a smile on his face as he hands it to the adeptus. His touch even lingers for a moment whenever it's handed to him.

Morax can't allow this. He is an Adeptus, leader of Liyue. Having a lover will only distract him from his duty.

What if someone were to find out he loved Ajax? Would they go after the warrior instead? Morax couldn't bear to see Ajax die because of him. The thought fills him with dread. Too many of his friends have fallen, but to watch Ajax go... it's a sight he can't bear.

Guizhong sees the hurt in his eyes. Her voice softens, "you are not immune to love, Morax. It is okay to have these feelings and act on them. You have worked hard to create this land, we have worked hard. And I have found love with Ping. You deserve to find love too. You deserve so much, and he deeply cares for you. So determined to protect you."

That is exactly what he's afraid of.

He doesn't want a human to protect him, it will only lead to their demise. Morax can handle himself in battle on his own, humans only need to watch. Ajax is much more fragile than him, a soldier who could easily die by the hands of a god.

Morax had to see Ajax lose half of his sight. He doesn't want Ajax to lose his life next.

"Ajax deserves far better than I. Someone who doesn't put their life on the line in battle. He deserves to have someone to go home to that will take care of him." Morax sets down his cup of tea, no longer having an appetite.

"But Morax, he loves that about you. You are the one he goes to when he needs to be taken care of. You made that eyepatch for him and he never once wore a different one. He practically washes it every day!" The goddess sighs, "what I'm trying to say is - to him, you are his home. He loves seeing your devotion to Liyue, and he wishes to be the one at your side to protect it. He loves that you are the one who takes care of him." Gosh, could that boy be more obvious about his feelings?

Barbatos was right, Morax really is a blockhead.

The adeptus stays silent, his gaze fixed on Liyue. Guizhong knows what this means, she needs to leave him alone to his thoughts. She's said all that she could and now it's time for Morax to take it all in by himself.

No matter what he decides though, they both know he loves Ajax too.

There is no break to rest in a land full of war. Another battle to protect Guili Plains and gain land they didn't have before. Morax shapes the land through his battles. Fighting off rival gods and abyssal creatures. And every battle comes with its casualties. Soldiers are lost or severely injured. The Adepti are sent to ensure the injured are treated by the best medics and freshly picked herbs harvested in areas unaffected by the land.

Unfortunately (or rather fortunate for the young warrior), Ajax gets to witness the great power of battle. Watching as the god he devotes himself to fight against another powerful god to protect the people. Ajax fights his own battle with monsters to keep them out of Morax's way. However the young one still has a lot to learn.

”Ow!" The young warrior flinches as Morax presses crunched up medicinal herbs against Ajax's shoulder and wraps soft fabric around it to keep the herbs in place.

"If you had been paying attention to your enemies, you wouldn't be in this situation." The god frowns at the warrior. How many times has he done this? Patching up Ajax's wounds himself because he refuses treatment from anyone else? Ajax was lucky to not have gotten his arm ripped off by a rifthound. "If you continue to act so reckless in battle I will not allow you to fight alongside me. You are getting hurt far too much." Morax is angry, yes, but he's also concerned.

After all this time spent with Ajax, he doesn't want to let the warrior go. He doesn't want to see the man die in battle like many of his comrades.

"W-wait, I can't stop fighting! I promise I won't be reckless like this again. I just got distracted." Glazed blue eyes look away from him with a visible blush spread across the ladders face. He's not stupid. For many years he has felt the eyes of his people watching him as he protects their land. Ajax had been too busy watching him fight rather than dealing with his own battle.

Morax doesn't understand what's so special about watching him fight. Many of the people are scared. They keep away from the battle, afraid they'll get caught in the crossfire. But Ajax isn't like the rest of them. The warrior embraces a battle with a smile on his face. If being in the crossfire is what it takes to take some of the enemies down to lighten the weight of battle for the god, he'll rush in. A mere mortal so devoted to protecting his god.

His god.

"Please, Jīngzi! I want to be out there with you. You know how much I love fighting alongside you." Ajax takes his hands into his own. Morax looks down at their hands. Something stirs within him as he listens to his warrior try to change his mind.

"I said I would if this happens again, Ajax. You know I do not go against my word. I do not want to see you hurt, yet you put yourself in danger every time." His gaze now changes to the red cover Ajax wears on his eye. A constant reminder of the impertinence of war. "You are a treasure that I do not want to lose." He confesses.

Ajax sits closer now. One hand secured around Morax's as he lifted the hand up to the patch over his eye. Morax's finger brush against the soft leather. Thumb sliding under it to move the patch away, revealing Ajax's blind eye. The ladder gives a smile as he leans into the palm of the gods hand. "You aren't going to lose me. I'm not going down so easily." The warrior says confidently. He leans in closer and moves his hands to cradle Morax's face.

"Allow me to show you how devoted I am. Won't you, Jīngzi?" Ajax is close. Too close. Yet he stays still as the warrior moves closer and slides his lips against his. It starts slow, years of built up love all into one kiss. He feels Ajax's hands start to roam and he pulls away.

"Ajax, what are you doing?" Amber eyes snap up to ocean blue. They shouldn't be doing this - a god and a mortal. He is not fit to love or to be loved. He can't allow himself to get attached to this mortal.

Oh, but he already has.

"Showing you my devotion, of course. You patched me up again, allow me to show you my appreciation." Ajax moves closer, claiming the gods lips once again and laying him down. Morax's hands grab onto the warrior's arms. Ajax rests his hands on the sides of Morax's head, his kisses trail downward, making the gods breath hitch. He feels a leg separate his own.

"You do not understand what you are getting into." The god shows his stubbornness, looking up at the warrior who shows no signs of backing down. Despite Morax's words he doesn't make an attempt to shove the mortal off of him. Each kiss is returned with the same kind of longing love. He just won't admit it.

And Ajax knows this. He's going to get this beautiful adeptus to confess his true desire for love.

"But I do know, I can see your feelings, the emotions you show when I'm with you like this." Ajax lifts his head to look at Morax who looks away from him and closes his eyes. This makes the warrior frown.

Morax can't do this. For the sake of Ajax, he cannot act on his feelings. He loves Ajax, he can't let anyone else know how much he loves this man. Not even Ajax himself. "Please Ajax, stop this and let me go." His words don't have a bite to them but it still hurts the both of them.

Despite Ajax's hurt he doesn't let go.

"I told you already, didn't I? I'm not going to leave you. You don't have to be so scared."

"I am a god, I have no reason to be-"

"You're scared of losing me. Scared that if you grow attached to me, I will die. I promised you I wasn't going to leave you."

Morax clenches his teeth and tries to sit up but Ajax keeps a firm hold on the god. "I already know what you're thinking. Please, Morax. Let me stay by your side through every hard time. I want to be with you." Ajax pleads, his grip trembling as he shifts to be closer to the adeptus.

But Morax's head is still turned away.

Ajax finally loosens his grip and sits up. "Even if I were to die, I want to die protecting the one I love most. I want to help you, to protect you. As a warrior it's my duty to die-"

"I don't want to see you die!" Morax interrupts and sits in front of Ajax, "I don't wish to lose you! Please, please just live a long life."

Tears threaten the gods' eyes. To think a deity would cry over a mortal. It was pathetic, this love was messing with him. This was a weakness, Ajax was his weakness.

He felt hands cradle his face. He doesn't want to push Ajax away again. Why couldn't the warrior just walk away? Perhaps seeing the boy give up and leave him will give him the strength to move on - to show him there must be someone out there better for Ajax.

But Ajax stays with him. Soft lips brush against his once again. He doesn't dare deny Ajax of this kiss.

Just this once he will give in to love. Allow Ajax to lay him down and show him the devotion Ajax has. He feels the warrior's hands rub his sides as he's laid down beneath him. Ajax claims his lips again and again, this time slower and full of love. His bottom lip is nibbled on and his jaw loosens, allowing Ajax a taste. The warrior's warm tongue slides against his own, making a wet sound. His arms wrap around Ajax's neck, subconsciously pulling him closer.

Meanwhile the warrior's hands explore his body. The gods shirt is taken off along with the ladders. Clothes are thrown on the floor and the warrior puts himself in between the adeptus' legs. Their lips finally separate with a quiet pop. The two out of breath as they stare at each other, longing for more. The warrior rests his forehead against the other.

"Please let me show you how much I love you." The warrior pleads against the gods lips. Morax does not deny him, but instead places a kiss on the ladder's nose. "If it means you stay with me forever, then yes." Perhaps if he gives in, Ajax will never leave him.

Ajax is and he is Ajax's. Only he gets to decide when his warrior dies. Only he gets this love that the warrior shows him. A soulmate, he tells himself. Someone who will forever bonded to him. He wants Ajax to be his forever.

Clothes are discarded in a frenzy and Morax finds himself nervous. An Adeptus - a god is laid bare before a human. It should be the other way around - Ajax is supposed to be offering himself to a deity. He doesn't even realize he's trying to hide himself until Ajax spreads his legs apart.

"What makes you so shy now? Never had a lover~?" The warrior's hands slide up his thighs, his head dips dangerously close to the ladders cock.

"This is new to me, yes. Is it not proper to have a mortal on the receiving end? In some cultures-"

"I can't worship my Jīngzi like this? A god like you deserves to be worshiped." He smiles, "but we can always switch up next time. I would love to offer my body to you." He takes the gods cock in his hand and presses a kiss to it before sliding it into his mouth. Morax arches and grasps the bedding beneath them. Soft moans escape his throat as Ajax slides his tongue against a sensitive vein and sucks.

Everything about it feels amazing, this wonderful human pleases him so well. Golden hands move to find purchase in the warriors light amber curls. He receives a strangled moan from the warrior when he gently pulls, a sign to do it again.

Morax gets lost in a haze, not paying attention to the warrior's activated hydro vision. Water coats the man's fingers and they brush against the gods rim. When the ladder feels it, and tenses.

Ajax finally pulls his head away, lips coated in white. "Relax, I'm just going to open you up a little. I'd hate to hurt you during our first time." He moves his body up and presses a kiss to the ladders lips. The ladder frowns at the contact, bothered that his own semen is on his lips. Ajax giggles at the reaction and cleans it off before going in for another kiss.

One finger quickly turns into two. Morax can feel them curl and spread him open. It feels as if they are searching for something. He can feel a smirk against Ajax's lips as he rubs the gods' insides. Morax's eyebrows furrow and a jolt runs through his body.

”Ah!- Ajax what was-"

"I said to relax, didn't I? Just something to make you feel good." The warrior rubs his fingers against the gods' prostate. It sends the god into a fit of moans. Their kisses turn messy and Morax ruts against the warriors fingers searching for more. Once Ajax finds the god is stretched enough, he pulls his fingers out. Morax whines at the loss

His hands leave the warrior's hair. Their kiss parts and Ajax looks down and focuses on coating his own cock with hydro. He lifts a thigh and kisses the side. "Are you ready, my love?" He leans over the adeptus and kisses him again. His hands move under Morax's thighs and pull him closer, his cock rubbing against the ladder's ass, making him shiver.

Morax wraps his arms around Ajax's neck, "make love to me, Ajax."

Ajax doesn't need to be told twice.

He pushes in and the both of them gasp. The warrior bites his tongue as he pushes in deeper. His beautiful adeptus mewls and tries to wrap his legs around the warrior's waist. Ajax thrusts into the Adeptus at a steady pace, his head is pulled down by the deity and he's engulfed into a kiss again. It's messy, Morax opens his lips immediately and their tongues slide against each other.

Morax sucks on his warrior's tongue, muffling his moans. Ajax starts to thrust faster, creating a wet slapping noise that mixes in with the gods moans echoing through the room. Ajax fucks the god deep until he finds the gods prostate.

”Ah- Ajax please, more I want more.” The adeptus meets Ajax's thrusts halfway. The warrior gives this beautiful deity everything he asks for. He unwraps his arms around the gods waist, letting the ladder's legs wrap around his waist. Ajax cradles the adeptus' face instead. Staring lovingly down at the god.

"Please do not leave me." He can hear Morax beg, hands roaming to cradle his face too. "Please don't go." Tears build up in the gods eyes.

Ajax presses soft kisses against the gods face. "I'm not going anywhere, I love you." He pressed a chaste kiss to his lips. "I promise to be with you forever, this life and the next." He kisses the tears away.

He hates to see Morax hurt like there. He is a warrior, it's his duty to protect the adeptus and his people. He will fight to keep a smile on Morax's face, fight for their happiness, fight to be with him forever. His life is devoted to this god that he loves.

He drowns Morax in more kisses. He takes the gods cock in hand and strokes it while chasing after his own orgasm. He moves faster, rendering the god unable to speak coherent sentences.

“C-close,” Ajax moans, “come for me, Jīngzi.” He whispers against his lips. His finger slid against the tip of Morax’s cock, sending the god over the edge. He paints his stomach white. Ajax doesn’t last much longer, thrusting as deep as he could before coming inside of the god. The both of them still, trying to catch their breath. Morax is the first to move, pulling Ajax down and nuzzling his face in his neck.

The warrior pulls out and lays next to him, pulling his lover close and wrapping his arms around him. Morax is able to rest his head on Ajax’s chest. Their legs tangle, their bodies are as close as they can get. Ajax is not going to let Morax go.

“I love you, Morax.” He whispers in the gods' hair. He doesn’t care if he never gets an answer back, he knows Morax loves him too.

The next few months are bliss.

All the adepti can see how much the mood has shifted for the better. Ajax is much closer with Morax, it's more noticeable too. The warrior isn't afraid to show his adepti friends that he and Morax are finally together.

As for Morax, he's just his usual self but a little happier than normal. He recalls what Guizhong had told him and the advice Myrna had given him long ago. Perhaps he should let Makoto know of his situation too. Though knowing her she'll gossip to Rukkadevata and Myrna. The three girls are always talking. If one knows, the other two have to know also.

"One could not help but notice one's lord is drinking tea all by himself again." Morax hears the ruffles of feathers. He looks at his side to see Cloud Retainer staring down at him.

"Is one's lord not going to have company? The boy one's lord fancies is around here somewhere." Adeptal energy swirls around the adeptus, Cloud Retainers form shifts into the human form she rarely shows. Her hands rest on her hips, Morax is always out here in the same place drinking his tea at the same time every sunset.

The god smiles, "he knows where I am if he wishes to see me. This is the perfect place to watch the sunset." He turns away from her and sips his tea.

Xianyun sighs, that mortal is already on his way here. She saw him running towards this spot as she was flying by. Seriously, it's like the warrior can't stand being away from Morax for more than a day.

Very well, then. She shouldn't stick around and interrupt whatever may go on when the warrior gets here. She doesn't want to see how the warrior gets one's lord so happy.

"He's on his way now, actually. I hope you've saved some tea, he'll probably be out of breath by the time he gets here." Xianyun crossed her arms and looked at the sunset. Morax was right, it was very pretty. But it was far better when she was up in the clouds.

She can hear another set of footsteps approaching. Like she said, the warrior was indeed out of breath.

"It seems it is time for one to go now. Enjoy your evening, My Lord." She shifts back and flies up into the clouds before Morax has a chance to say goodbye.

"She always flies off when I show up. Is something on my face or what?" Ajax huffs and walks up to the god, taking a seat on the grass next to him. Morax looks over and shakes his head, "nonsenses, she only shows herself to the other adepti and I. Cloud Retainer isn't fond of speaking with mortals, that's all." He pours Ajax a cup of tea and hands it to him, "drink up, you must be thirty from your journey."

Ajax accepts the tea and drinks. His shoulder leans against the others. It's been some time since they've watched the sunset together, he's learned it's Morax's favorite thing to do.

Morax is very beautiful under the sun. Even at this time when the sun is ready to rest, Morax glows. Even when the sun isn't around, Morax shines upon the land. Like an eternal sun.

"A mora for your thoughts, dearest?" Morax sets down his empty cup and turns his body towards his lover.

"Can a man not admire his lover? You glow beautifully under the sun." Ajax responds with a smile. His hand creeps on top of the gods. Morax can’t hide his smile,

"And you glow beautifully under the moon. Even when the sun is out, I see the night sky in your eyes." He compliments right back. Ajax blushes like a kid. He doesn't expect Morax to flirt with him back. "When the moon is out, your eyes glow just like your vision. It is why I look forward to watching the sunset, I get to see the moon once again, and watch as your beauty glows." The two of them watch as the sun sets. Morax rests his head on Ajax's shoulder.

“Then I’ll be your moon. And you can be my sun.”

War is a vicious, cruel thing. But it’s a part of life, it comes and goes. There is no way to truly end it. The gods and adepti fight amongst each other. Gods are always hungry for land and power, they do not wish to live under another god, the prime adepti of Liyue. They fight for territory, painting the land red. Gods and adepti fall, some even turn against each other as erosion overcomes them from anger.

Soldiers fight to protect themselves from monsters. But there is only so much a mortal can do. Morax runs through blood-stained grass searching for his beloved warrior.

He is in the middle of the battlefield. His soldiers slay abyssal monsters, making a path for their god. Morax fights off the monsters with ease, clearing his own path quicker. He’s stained with the blood of a god, its body scattered.

Where is Ajax? Why did Ajax leave his side? Did the evil god get to him? Is he safe? His mind swirls in all sorts of directions. In the distance is a broken ginkgo tree, under it a body lies. Morax rushes over and creates a barrier around the tea.

Under the tree Ajax lies still. He’s still breathing, a miracle, but he’s severely injured. His eyepatch is completely gone and his clothes are torn apart. Blue eyes gaze into his eyes, but he can’t see the moon he loves.

“Ajax, please Ajax say something.” The god pleads, falling into his knees and gathering the man into his arms. He feels a hand rest on his and he tries to smile.

“It’s okay, I’m right here.” Ajax smiles up at him, but it’s a tired smile. There is no energy left and his body starts to grow cold. “I’m sorry, I told you I’d always stay by your side.”

“Please don’t apologize.”

Please don’t leave me. Ajax promised him he wouldn’t leave. Ajax promised to always be by his side. He finally gets to love his warrior, and now a god has taken that away from him. They try to take away his warrior, his lover.

This was exactly what he was scared of. Being so close to him only results in death. He shouldn’t have let Ajax grow so close to him. He shouldn’t have given into his own feelings. He should have let Ajax go. Maybe then, Ajax would be on the safer side of the battlefield fighting off monsters that are no match for him. The gods wouldn’t dare go after a warrior if they didn’t know it was so special.

“Hey… don’t look at me like that.” Ajax’s voice is faint, “I fought him off… that god who tried to kill you, I did what I promised; to protect you.” The other hand reaches up to wipe the tears escaping from Morax’s eyes.

“You promised you wouldn’t leave me.” Morax clenches his teeth and nuzzles his cheek into the palm of Ajax’s hand, “you said you would stay with me.” A promise was a promise. He could never forgive himself if Ajax were to die. His lover, his soulmate, his everything. Morax refuses to let him go just as Ajax refused to let him run away when they first made love.

Ajax let’s put a soft laugh, “I know, I’m sorry. I promise I’ll find you again. You will never lose me, and if you ever feel lonely, look at the moon.” His thumb brushes over another tear. He didn’t want to watch his lover cry during the last moments of his life. He found this Gingko tree, though broken he still laid down in a pile of leaves. A beautiful place to rest even during the times of war.

But neither of them wanted to be apart.

“I’m sorry, Jīngzi, please forgive me. I love you, please don’t be mad at this warrior.” His hand slowly slips as his muscles relax. Morax feels Ajax’s body grow colder in his arms. He could never be mad at his lover. He should be the one asking for forgiveness, dragging Ajax into a vicious war. Putting a target on his back just because he loves him.

Ajax’s hand finally falls.

“Wait Ajax, wait.” He catches the hand and pulls it to his chest. He leans down to give his lover one more kiss. Ajax closes his eyes and sighs, feeling Morax kiss him one last time. The brunette can feel Ajax’s shallow breathing come to an end.

“I love you, Ajax. I will always love you.”

Please come find me again.
