Chapter 1: Paying a visit

Chapter Text

The graduation ceremony was ongoing, everyone was cheering and having fun. Estella was feeling happy at her graduation from the academy. She passed all the tests succesfully, and even managed to secure one of the top ranks in her class. As she was talking amongst her peers, her smile started to fade when she saw a man walking towards her. Armitage Hux.

His and her family were pretty close, so Hux was no stranger. That man however did her wrong everytime. From suggestive unrequited touches, to harsh words. That was an all time thing back in the day, when they lived in the same manor with their families. Her heart started beating faster as he came closer to her, smug expression on his face.

"Excuse me, please," Estella quickly stepped out of her group to a certain spot, so they wouldnt hear their upcoming conversation that she dreaded so much.

“You know, you really are something else.” he began teasingly as he towered over her. “Top marks, the best in your academy”. He stepped towards her, leaning forward to look into her eyes.

“What are you doing here?” Estella hissed, annoyed.

He smirked. “Can’t an old friend pay a congratulations visit?” He leaned closer, and Estella found herself trapped in his gaze as he stared deeply into her eyes.

“We're no friends,” she said, taking a step aside. “Thank you for your congratulations, you can leave now.”
They had a backstory. Armitage was older than her by at 6 years, however they knew each other since childhood. Estella was forced to see this man every single day. So when he graduated and left to work for the order like his father, she was the happiest person alive. It was good till it lasted...

“Oh, but I’d love to stay.” He said, following her when she moved away. “It’s been a while, and I just can’t help but notice how you’ve developed”. He tilted his head slightly to the side as he admired her.

She tsked her lips, annoyed. “It's called growing up.”  Sassy as always.

“You’ve grown into a beautiful girl.” His hand was now on her cheek as he leaned closer. “Why don’t you let me take you to a drink and celebrate?” he asked.

“I don’t drink,” she said silently, as they were still in an open area.
“Especially not with you.” she added.

He made an amused sound. “Still as resistant as ever.” he said, moving another inch closer to her. He leaned forward and spoke in a low tone. “You can say no all you like but I know what you want. You’ve always wanted me. You can deny it all you want...” he said in a low, suggestive tone.

“You made my life a living hell in the space, and now you’re here saying this? Are you insane?” She hissed at him, stepping a bit behind.

“So, you’re still angry over a little harmless teasing?” he asked, seemingly unfazed by her slap. “You have a wild temper, I always knew that. Yet, I always liked that about you.” He reached out and touched her waist in a familiar manner.

She slapped his hand away again.
Little harmless teasing? You have got to be kidding me.” She scoffed, moving away from him.

“You really are stubborn.” He leaned back against the wall  and smirked at her. “Maybe that wild temper of yours is why I like you.” he teased. The arrogance in his tone made it obvious what he was trying to do.

“Leave me alone. Seriously. I got nothing to say to you.“

“I never take no for an answer, remember?” he said, looking around the hallways and then taking a step closer to her.

“Stop this, seriously...” she said tiredly. This mans audacity was astronomical.

“Tsk tsk, I don’t think so. What are you going to do, huh?” he teased with another smirk, looking down into her eyes.

“One broken nose wasn’t enough for you?” she said, referring to herself acting up on her temper a few years ago.

“A broken nose heals.” He said in a low and soft voice. His hand brushed against her cheek. “Do you know why I always liked you? Why I always tried to get your attention? Even though you always hated me.”

“Oh please, enlighten me so I can change myself.” she said, putting his hand away.

He leaned forward slightly, until they were only inches away from each other.  “I liked you because you were feisty - like a little brat. But I liked it. I liked that you always challenged me, and hated my presence. It was amusing.”

She glared at him, “I hate you. So much.”

He smirked, “Oh, I know that you do.” His other hand was now wrapped around her waist. “But that anger that fuels you, I like that about you. I like it when you lose control. I want to break you, and be the only one you can come to.”

She was starting to feel desperate at this point, she wanted this man to leave her. “Armitage, please. This is my graduation party, don’t ruin this for me...”

His eyes darkened, and he smirked again. “I won’t ruin this one evening for you, little miss. But don’t forget, I’ll be back. And it will be just the two of us. And that’s when we’ll do everything I’ve always wanted to do with you.” He leaned in to whisper into her ear. “I want to own you.” He leaned back slightly, but his grip around her waist was still very firm.

That was the last straw for Estella. This man had the nerve to touch her, ogle her and yet she was still scared to do something to him. She felt hopeless... And so she pushed him and with an irritated expression began to walk away.

He allowed himself to get pushed away, his smirk never leaving his face. “I’ll see you soon, brat.” he called out as he watched her walk away.
