Good Boy

Summary:

After pining over her for years, Cardinal Copia finally gets enough courage to ask the Ministry’s resident witch out on a date. Let the fun commence…

Notes:

So what started off as a short one shot idea I had, inspired by Sister Procrastinator’s Essence of Quinn has turned into a 10,000 word, smut filled rendezvous. The fic is already finished and I’ll be posting a new chapter everyday.

This is the first thing I’ve ever written so sorry if it’s not great but I had a lot of fun writing it!

Special thank you to Sister_Procrastinator and GhulehVous for inspiring me and encouraging me to write this :)
(I would have linked them but I couldn’t figure out how 😂)

Chapter Text

Today was the day. The day that he had finally mustered up enough confidence to ask Helena out on a date.

Cardinal Copia had been living at the Ministry for a couple of years now and had noticed the witch, a lot, usually wandering around with Secondo’s pretty little air ghoul, aptly named, Air. He was originally concerned that they were an item, he saw her with him that much, but he soon found out that they had more of a sibling relationship, and that Air was mated with Secondo’s quintessence ghoul, Quinn.

Helena was perfect. Her short raven hair with its hints of blue shining through (blue just happened to be his favourite colour), the way her smile would light up her whole face, and her laugh… it sounded like music to his ears. Yes, he was smitten with the witch, and although his confidence had grown since becoming the frontman of the Ghost Project, all he had done was watch her from afar. But today, that was about to change.

He went to find her in the apothecary hoping she would be alone, as he wasn’t prepared to do this in front of an audience. He entered and looked around but couldn’t see her anywhere. Feeling disappointed, he sighed and started to turn when a figure popped up from behind a counter causing him to jump.

“Ah Cardinal Copia, I thought I heard someone,” Helena smiled. “Sorry, I was just looking for something. What can I help you with?”

“Erm… hi… Helena… no need to apologise,” he fumbled, hands wringing together nervously. He calmed himself, eyes focused on his hands. “I was just … erm… wondering if you would like to… go out with me sometime… on a date?”

He looked up at her after a few seconds of not receiving a response.

“Sorry, it was a stupid thing to ask. Just pretend I-,” Copia was cut off.

“I’d love to, I’m just not really a big ‘dater’,” she leant on the cabinet with a smirk. “Why don’t you come to mine for a drink tonight and we’ll see how it goes?”

“Erm… yes…that sounds good… I’d like that,” he beamed, not taking this as a rejection to his advance. He started to walk towards the door.

“Great, see you at eight,” Helena grinned. Just as Copia got to the door she shouted to him. “Cardinal, I just have a quick question…”

Copia spun around to face her. “How do you feel about leather?” she asked, a mischievous glint in her eyes, knowing how much the question would fluster him. Copia swallowed hard as his face reddened and his mind began to race.

“I… I like leather,” he stuttered out, a little lost for words.

“Good to know,” Helena winked.

With that, Copia left, mind reeling with the implications of why she would ask that and excited for his date, that wasn’t a date, that evening.

….

At 8 pm sharp, Cardinal Copia arrived at Helena’s room. He stood there for a moment, willing his nerves to settle. He knocked and then stood back, brushing some imaginary lint from his skin-tight red suit. Helena opened the door, a cheerful grin on her face. Copia thought she looked beautiful, wearing some painted-on leather trousers and a band tee. He felt a little overdressed.

“Hi there Cardinal Copia, come in,” she gestured into the room with a smile.

“Please… you can just call me Copia.”

Copia walked through and took in the space. The room was darkly decorated. Black walls and lots of plants. There was a four-poster bed on the left side of the room with a floor-length mirror on the wall next to it and a door which Copia assumed led to the bathroom. On the right side there was a small open kitchen with a breakfast table. Between the 2 spaces was the sitting area which consisted of a couple of chairs and a sofa, all facing towards the fireplace on the back wall. Copia noticed the leather riding crop leant against the fireplace and his eyes widened.
The room was lit only by the fire and the dozens of candles spread around. It felt homely and welcoming.

“I take it these are for me?” Helena had shut the door and was gesturing to the stunning bouquet in Copia’s hand.

“Oh, si, yes. Of course.”

“I’ll go and put them in a vase, you go take a seat and get comfortable, and I’ll bring over some wine. Is red ok?”

“Si, thank you.”

Copia removed his suit jacket and folded it over one of the chairs before taking a seat on the sofa while Helena tended to the flowers. When she was done she poured them both some wine and brought the bottle with her, placing it on the coffee table and handing Copia one of the glasses. She sat very close to him with her body turned towards him and her arm on the back of the sofa behind his head.

“You look nice,” she smiled softly, gazing down his body. He was wearing a tight black shirt tucked into his trousers and matching red double monk strap shoes. A black leather belt completed the outfit.

He blushed slightly at the compliment. “As do you, cara mia.”

….

The evening was going well and the conversation was flowing. They were on their second bottle of wine and Copia was feeling more confident. Helena still had her arm across the back of the sofa but she was now playing with his hair, softly twirling it through her fingers. He leaned his head into her hand enjoying the feeling of her fingers running through his hair, lightly scratching his scalp. He let out a low moan and then his eyes shot wide open as he realised what he had done. He turned his head to look over at Helena who was just grinning at him.

“You like the feeling of my fingers in your hair, hm?” she giggled.

“Si… it’s very relaxing,” he chuckled. His eyes glanced from her eyes to her soft lips.

“Would you like to feel them elsewhere?” she smirked seductively, running her hand down the back of his neck and across his jawline. Her thumb brushed across his moustache and then pulled down his bottom lip slightly, pushing slowly into his mouth and encouraging him to suck on it.

Copia was glad that he had some wine in his belly because on a normal day that probably would have made him come in his pants right there and then. He was quite sexually adventurous usually, and it’s not like he was a virgin (he was actually far from it). There was just something about Helena that turned him into a bumbling idiot. She was just so confident in herself, not afraid to ask for what she wanted and to just take it. But right now, the wine flowing through his veins was making him feel a little more courageous, even with the twitching he could feel in his pants.

She removed her thumb from his mouth and placed the wine glass in her other hand down on the table before taking his and placing it next to hers. She leaned back into her previous position with her arm across the back of the sofa, behind his head, before placing her other hand delicately on his chest. His heart rate increased but if she noticed she didn’t mention it. They stared into each other’s lust-filled eyes as she began to move her hand slowly down his chest to his stomach, drawing little swirls with her fingers as she went. She broke eye contact to glance down briefly before leaning in closer, hand still travelling downwards.

“Are you a little excited… Cardinal?” she whispered breathily into his ear, emphasising his title as her fingers traced the outline of his rock-hard erection which was straining against his tight trousers. “Or is that one of Aether’s bananas that you’re hiding down there?” She grinned playfully, lips brushing against his ear lobe before settling her hand down with a little more pressure and rubbing him through his trousers.

He felt his cock twitch under her touch as he mustered all his restraint not to buck up into her hand. He groaned at the feeling, letting his head fall onto the back of the sofa and closing his eyes to calm himself. He felt a sudden loss of pressure as Helena used the opportunity to swing her leg over him, straddling his lap. His eyes shot open at the unexpected movement, only to be met with Helena’s hooded gaze, her dark, chocolate-brown eyes felt like they were staring into his soul. She began to grind herself down against him and he let out another small moan, dropping his head back again and bringing his hands up to rest on her waist. This was happening. No turning back now he thought.

“I have two rules,” Helena stated, as she rolled her hips against him, creating a delicious amount of friction against his throbbing cock. Copia lifted his head to look at her and listen to her rules, intrigued. “Number one: you will do as I say, when I say it… understood?”

Copia nodded nervously, eyes blown wide.

“Number two…” she rolled her hips again, grinding down on his length as if to emphasise the point. “You will only come when I tell you to… do you understand?”

Copia swallowed down the lump in his throat and nodded again, his erection becoming painful, constrained beneath his tight trousers.

“Good,” Helena grinned. “Now, do you have a safe word or would you like me to choose one?”

“You can choose,” he blurted out, face reddening at his eagerness.

“Hmm,” Helena tapped her chin, thinking, before looking down between them. “Banana,” she smirked.
