Chapter 1: "Bad Meat"

Chapter Text

He smiles looking down at the corpse in front of him, the body limp and disgusting. “S-she’ll love you..” He says, before dragging the body away. He drags it for an hour before getting to the cabin, which he knocks thrice, short pause, then twice more; a secret knock. She opens immediately, she gasps and a huge smile is plastered on her face. “You got us food!!!!”

He smiles in response “Of course I did, honey, I know we were running a little low..and I couldn't let my baby starve.” she throws herself onto him and they embrace.

They walk inside and he throws the body meat on the counter. “Hey darlin’” her slight country twang expressed thoroughly with the last word. “Yes?” “You didn’t bring me bad meat did you?” her tone darkens. “N-no!! Of Course not!! Only the best for the love of my life..” there's a long pause. “Explain. This.” she throws something at him, the man catches it. He lets out a shriek, there's a liver in his hands, the liver is discolored. “EXPLAIN.”

“I-I didn’t know!!! I-” the lover-boy is cut off by his spouse. “NEXT TIME MAKE SURE YOU AREN'T BRINGING ME BAD MEAT EVER AGAIN.” “o-of course.. Of course Lilly..”

She smiles before she carves into the body. The human body on the counter. ‘What have I done?’ Is all I can think in this moment. I killed the man and now my wife is going to cook him. Why would I do th- “Honey, we’re out of garlic pepper and some other spices and such..do you mind going grocery shopping for me, love?”

“O-of course not my sweet angel..” I put on my boots and coat. “Aren't you forgetting something, sweetness?” she points at me, causing me to look down at the blood covering my shirt.

I quickly rush to the bedroom and change, cleaning myself up of any stray blood. Then I put on my boots and coat.

“Don’t forget anything, honey.” She hands me a list, I kiss her goodbye and walk out the house. I get in the car, and drive off to the grocery store. The road is bumpy and unpaved, it has to be. We have to live remotely so that we don’t get caught. I don’t exactly like it a lot..I miss my friends and my family, but I love my wife so much, I don’t mind having to leave them..that’s what I tell myself. I hate helping her. I hate what she has become.
