i wake up in the middle of the night.
this is not new.
i am jacks visceral dissapointment.
i turn around to tyler, who is sleeping soundly on the other side of the bed. his arms are outstretched above him.
show off.
i sigh and move closer to him, burying my face into his neck and throwing an arm around his chest. i breathe him in. leather, cologne, skin.
he stirs a little before i get what i want.
he tilts his head downward and moves onto his side, putting his arms under mine and pulling me flush towards his chest. he places a hand in my hair.
i am content. his arms are around me and i can sleep again.
he grabs my chin and tilts my head up, slotting our lips together. it’s long. lazy. he’s half asleep. he pulls away and sighs almost dreamily, before dropping his heads against the pillow and falling right back asleep. i bury my face back into his neck.
i am jacks craving of domesticity.
