Susan said she would leave him. And she could. Her Gallifreyan name had been discarded for a human one. She would. She who was all he had left. Who had stayed by his side for so long. Who without he would be truly, utterly alone.
Susan said she would leave him, so the Doctor panicked. Activating the controls when they- when she wasn’t looking. Absconding through the whirling vortex of time, taking the two humans with them. Ian and Barbara would say that the Doctor had abducted them. But the Doctor would always know.
It wasn’t them he had kidnapped.
