Work Text:
Kevin was lucky today, he thought he would be late for school, since he woke up late. He was starting to think that was the fastest time he ever ran in his life. His squeaky shoes were echoing through the halls, as he opened the school door, but it soon was barely heard out of all of loud teenagers. He walked over to his locker, it was so loud he didn't realize that someone was calling him.
"Kevin Barr!" A hand slammed his locker, making Kevin jumping, and making him squeak as well. He quickly turned around to see the football captain, Jason Jackson, looking pissed as ever. His fists were clenched, he also looked red, his teeth looked like they were ready to bite the heck out of Kevin.
"I assume that you have a good reason to tell me why I have an F in Math?" He shoved a white piece of paper to Kevin, showing an large red F. Kevin rubbed his neck nervously, noticing that the sound as died down as soon as Jason came to Kevin, he noticed that some people were walking away, maybe today he wasn't as lucky as he thought he would be. Cold sweat was slowly starting to melt away on Kevin's forehead.
"Oh! W-well..I'm not sure why but..I might have done it wrong..I-Im so sorry!!" He almost yelled, then he sighed in defeat, knowing what's about to happen. He then heard Jason chuckle, "I thought you were smart..You're lying to me, you did this on purpose!" Jason was yelling instead, again making Kevin jump.
"Oh yeah! Get him Jason! He needs to learn his lesson!" A boy said, the girls started to laugh, a so-called funny guy really.
"I like that idea, thanks mark," Jason turned to Kevin, "You are going to pay..." Jason grabbed Kevin's chin, yanking him forward. Then turning him around and shoving his face into his locker, Kevin knew there was going to be some bruises on his face. Jason did the same thing again, only this time it was harder, Kevin felt his glasses breaking, "not again.." he thought, he couldn't afford new ones!
He pulled away, the redhead could actually breathe, Jason let him breathe for at least a couple of seconds. But, when Kevin tried to make a run for it, Jason grabbed his wrist, pushing him into his locker once again.
Jason reached out to grab Kevin, but someone else grabbed him instead, they grabbed his arm.
Kevin gasped as Eddward twisted Jason's arm, a crack was heard through the halls, as Jason's scream. Everyone turned silent, Mark and the girls went extremely quiet. Eddward walked closer to Jason, who was glaring up at him, holding his broken arm. "E-Eddward it's okay, he was just playing around!" Kevin lightly put his hand in his shoulder, trying to stop the taller boy, but failed miserably.
"Don't you dare lie to me, Pumpkin." He growled, Kevin let go, knowing his tone of voice all too well.
Eddward grabbed Jason by his shirt collar, "Now, you are going to pay for touching MY Pumpkin. Shall I start with your ugly face, yes?" He smirked, raising his fist, and showing no mercy. The first six punches were heard through the halls, Kevin felt some of them, even though he wasn't the one being attacked. He knew that it was what Jason deserved, but he didn't like it when people were in pain, even if those people caused him pain...
Kevin felt like it was time for him to stop, "Okay Eddward! He has had enough, please..."
Eddward looked over to see sad green eyes, and without looking away he dropped Jason, who looked up at him in fear. He forced himself to look at Jason, Jason now knew to never touch Kevin again. If he did, he would suffer the consequences.
Eddward watched as the boy ran through the halls, another person touching what is his, oh how it makes him sick. The halls still silent, Eddward grabbed Kevin, walking the other direction, pulling him outside of the school. They walked to the football field, with no one there.
"Edd..I know that you want to protect me but there are other ways to do so.." Kevin spoke softly not afraid of what Eddward might do but what he might feel. He knew that Eddward had no sense of enjoyment beating up other people just to protect Kevin. It gets worse once they start to fight Eddward back, then Kevin will have to worry about him even more.
"How? Pumpkin, those imbeciles are too stupid to even know what a brain is! It won't work if I tell them to leave you alone." Eddward wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's waist, as Kevin wrapped his arms around Eddward's neck. "Oh Edd.." Kevin smiled, as he leaned in forward.
Their lips touched, both enjoying it. Eddward slid his tongue in, earning a moan from Kevin, he smiled. They separated, "I just wish that you weren't always possessive and overprotective."
Eddward scoffed, "Okay, I am not possessive." He claimed as Kevin raised an eyebrow.
"What about that one time Nazz had a sleepover and you were invited? And about that one time in P.E.? And when I just want to give you a high five?" Kevin immediately saw Eddward's face changed, his eyes turning wide as he was caught, plus blushing too.
"Oooh...Well..I..Uhm.." He looked over so many words, but he knew none of which would help his case. Kevin chuckled, "It's okay, I love you anyways." He kissed his cheek, both smiling.
"I love you too."
Both knowing that their love was true, knowing that Kevin was lucky to have Eddward by his side.
