Satoru.
Satoru fucking Gojo.
The strongest sorcerer, and the most annoying person on the planet (Without a doubt, and without over exaggerating, he wore that title like it was badge of pride)
Was bored. Was that really a surprise?
And of course, Suguru had to deal with his pestering for– he looks at his fingers and starts counting – the 71st time today, Suguru estimates. Was that possible? He didn’t know.
“ I’m booorreeeeeddddd!! “ The white-haired man with dark-sunglasses whines loudly, resting his cheek on his palm as he pouts at the black-haired with a bun, who was simply doing his home-work. “ And you aren’t entertaining me. “ Satoru huffs, poking Suguru’s cheek.
Suguru, on the other hand– didn’t look up, focused on his work. “ Y’know, Satoru– you could.. I don’t know– do your homework for once. “ His dark-eyes turn to look at Satoru, his gaze holding the most blank expression Satoru has ever seen, (which he swears.)
Satoru pokes his cheek again, though now he’s smirking, the edges of his lips curved into a smile. “ And thats not any fun either! I wanna do something! “ He’s about to poke his cheek again, until Suguru slaps his hand away and Satoru’s cocky grin falters, pouting again. He takes his hand away, groaning loudly as he laid against the chair.
“ Jeez, you’re no fun, Sugu. “
Suguru doesn’t react, though he can feel his stomach do a backflip at the nickname—- maybe even 3 — but that doesn’t mean anything, right?
He lets out a sigh, looking over at Satoru again as he raises a brow. “ And what would we even do, since you’re so bored? “
Satoru’s silent for a moment. Then shrugs. “ … Uh. I dunno. “ He rubs the back of his neck. “ You think of something. “
Suguru closes his eyes and his brows furrow in frustration, pinching the bridge of his nose as he mutters an “ oh my god. “ This only causes Satoru to grin cheekily. And as much as Suguru loves his smile, he also wishes to wipe it off his stupid looking charming face. In a loving way, of course.
Satoru hums, looking down at his phone now as he starts to scroll. Great for Suguru, because he can get back to his work.
Not great for Suguru because not even 5 minutes later— Satoru’s poking Suguru again, this time everywhere as he snickers. Suguru flashes him a look which only makes Satoru giggle more, the sound a nuisance to Suguru’s ears.
“ Suguruuuuu… “ His tone makes Suguru cringe. “ Look what I foundddd..!! “ He immediately shoves the phone in Suguru’s face, which causes Suguru to just take the phone gently as he gets a better look.
Aquatic Dreams– open now! Come join the fun!
Open from 11 AM until 9 PM.
Suguru brows furrow as he reads the website. An aquarium?
“ Cool right? “ Satoru beams as he starts shaking Suguru’s arms. “ Lets go there! Comeee onnnnn!!!! “ God, he was so eager. But Suguru could never hate him for that, never.
However, Satoru’s grin slowly turns into a frown as Suguru shows him the phone again. “ Look. “
Can only come with tickets, Buy them under this link below!
“ We can only go with buying some ... tickets. “ Suguru looks back at the phone, thinking of his options. “ So do you– “
“ We don’t have to go with tickets. “
“ Huh? “
Suguru looks back at Satoru confused, until his eyes flicker with realization and his jaw slightly drops. Satoru, on the other hand, flashes his familiar grin. And the two stare at each other like they were thinking the same exact thing.
And they were.
Suguru’s eyes are wide, as he stumbles on his words. “ Satoru you aren’t– “
“ Oh I am. “
“ Are you ins– we can’t break in! “
“ And why not? “
It doesn’t take a brainer to tell that there was a challenge burning in Satoru’s eyes behind his dark shaded sun-glasses. And as Satoru does take off the glasses, Suguru is completely right— there is.
Suguru huffs, his eyes flickering with conflict as he looks back down at his work. “ No. “
Satoru just whines, clinging onto Suguru as Suguru flinches, those beautiful light-blue eyes matching the sky’s color as they stare into Suguru’s dark brown eyes. And Suguru feels his heart melt.
“ Please Suguru! “ Satoru puts on a fake upset expression, a bit too over dramatic as he starts shaking him, rapidly crying and begging like a little child.
Okay, maybe he could hate him a little for being too eager.
Satoru keeps shaking him, and Suguru feels like a bob head.
Fuck. fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck—-
Suguru grabs Satoru’s shoulders to stop the white-haired man from shaking him before he passes out, and his gaze softens as he lets out an exasperated sigh.
“ Fine. “ He mutters, and Satoru jumps up, yelling and does small a victory dance (which causes Suguru to look away to not show the blush creeping onto his cheeks) and before he knows it– Satoru’s calling up Shoko to invite her.
He closes his eyes, wondering what he got himself into this time.
Oh, he was going to regret this– wasn’t he? He can already tell.
His eyes slowly back at the phone, his lips thinning.
You have all the time in the world to check out the sea's unique animals!
And he has all the time to goof around with Satoru, he hoped.
"Suguru!"
"Hm?"
"C'mon, Shoko's coming!"
Satoru's smile made Suguru smile.
He was aware of that.
—
1 hour later, and as he guessed hes already regretting the choice he made.
Being tirelessly dragged around by Satoru by the arm, Shoko walked next to him as Satoru eagerly walked (skipped) in the aquarium.
Well, it wasn’t hard to get in, really. All Satoru needed to do was take off his sunglasses and wink at the security guard worker— and she fangirled over him in about 30 seconds, letting the three go into the building as the two exchanged phone numbers, the woman giggling like a school-girl. Suguru rolled his eyes at this. Shoko just smiled.
It wasn’t that the aquarium wasn’t bad however— it was alluring, exquisite even, Suguru wasn't afraid to admit that. The whole atmosphere was sort of calming, a gentle smile plastered on his face as he watched as a black fish and a white fish swam together in a small tank, the blue dim light reflecting on his cheek.
However, his mood compared to Satoru’s was definitely a big difference, and it was so obvious.
Satoru was looking around with bubbles of excitement forming in him ready to explode, and Suguru felt like if the tall albino haired man exploded any second– his ashes would be rainbow confetti everywhere.
He seemed to bounce around everywhere around the place like he was on a sugar rush, from squishing his cheeks against the hard and cold glass as he watched the sharks move around, and even pushing away a poor kid so harshly that they fell down to the ground just because Satoru wanted a closer look at the damn dolphins. Shoko and Suguru dragged him away while Suguru had to apologize multiple times to the angry mother dearly and scold Satoru like he was his child.
This man would be the death of him.
Without a doubt, this was the happiest Suguru had seen Satoru, and that made his chest warm seeing him smile a lot more.
Also without a doubt, that just meant he would be more of a menace to society, as if he couldn’t be more of a pest, and that made him want to give him a beating right there and then in public.
“This man…“ Suguru angrily muttered, walking behind Satoru as he kept bumping into other strangers just to look at the aquatic animals, occasionally getting annoyed glares, and to catch a glimpse of marine life– Suguru keeping watch. Shoko, next to him, strolled along. Her focus on her phone as she also took pictures of the jellyfish moving around so beautifully.
“Let him be.” Shoko replies casually, looking down to see the picture of the jellyfish she took, deciding to make it her home-screen wallpaper. “ He’s happy, he’ll be tired soon enough. “
Suguru huffs, closing his eyes in irritation. “At this rate, we’ll get kicked out because of him."
“Wouldn’t that be a good thing? We broke in without tickets either way. Plus he'll stop bothering other people besides us."
That– that was a good point. As Suguru opens his eyes, looking over to silently stare at Satoru’s happy form. His beaming smile, his eyes practically sparkling behind his sunglasses as he watched the jellyfish– something in Suguru just… relaxed, and his gaze softened. How could he not be so attracted to him? Satoru was just so fucking pretty—
He wanted Satoru to have that smile forever. And he could imagine the upset frown on his face if they ever got kicked out. And his heart slightly dropped at that thought.
Well, best friends think that-- he tried to convince himself.
Shoko, obviously noting the look and already figured out what's going on— looked back down at her phone. “Go kiss him or something.“
Shoko didn't agree.
Suguru flinches at the sudden words, caught off-guard. “I’m sorry what–”
“Sugu!”
The familiar voice cuts him off, and all of a sudden a hand grabs his wrist, the grip tight. He looks over to see none other than the manchild himself, Satoru.
Satoru grinned at the two, pointing to an area– where people were getting to touch and feel stingrays for the funsies and shit because why the hell not? “Lets go! Come onnnn!!! “ He keeps tugging on his wrist, barely able to contain his excitement. Suguru can feel himself starting to blush by the second just by looking at his smile, his teeth showing.
Shoko watches, and smiles as she flashes a look at Suguru, while Suguru gives a face that is begging himself for her to not go.
“I’m going to the bathroom." Fuck you, Shoko, Suguru silently cursed too her. "You boys have fun.” And before Suguru could stop her, shes already leaving– and he noticed the cigarette packet in her one hand, the other in her pocket. Of course this little bitch was going to leave him with Satoru to take a smoke.
Suguru looks back at Satoru, and he lets out a sigh. He really can’t say no to him sometimes.
“Okay, okay– I’m coming. just don't drag m--"
And he’s yanked as Satoru drags him to where other people were feeling the stingrays, their two fingers in the water. Suguru feels himself stiffen at the moving stingrays under the water, looking over to the excited Satoru.
Satoru with no hesitation puts his hand in the water, his grin only widening. “It feels like wax– smooth!” He giggles a little at the sensation, Suguru only watching him with a hint of admiration in his dark eyes.
Deciding to put his hand in too, he waits a few seconds until he feels a gentle nudge, and soon the skin.
And he’s right— the feeling is smooth, soft like wax as the feeling is almost… soothing. In a way. It even surprises him a little---
It reminds him of Satoru's touch.
“It is-” He looks up at him about to say that he agrees– until his heart completely stops. Satoru stares back at him, and the sight makes his whole face turn a bright red.
Satoru had his sunglasses off, sitting and relaxing on his head. His light-blue eyes that Suguru adored so much sparkled at him, his lips the prettiest smile as he started to rant without a break about the stingray, and Suguru can feel his world slow down– his heartbeat going at a fast rate and he’s unsure if hes dying or not.
Shit.
His eyes slowly darted over Satoru's lips, they’d feel soft, he bets. Satoru words drown out as Suguru couldn’t look away— he wanted more than nothing to walk over and kiss him to shut him up.
Shitttttttttttttttttttttt.
He can hear loud thumps in his chest, and he swears his heart just skipped a beat.
Nonononooo— Satoru was just a friend- he was just a friend just a fucking–
He’s screaming internally inside, his eyes softening and widening slowly as he’s absolutely speechless.
Just. A. Friend.
“Suguruuuuu?? Hellooooo? Are you even listeni–”
Right?
Those etheral blue eyes stare at him, confusion flickering across his face as Suguru almost chokes on his words. He's blushing, isn't he?
"Suguru? You look like you just ate 3 whole red-chilli peppers."
He takes back saying that the aquarium was beautiful.
"You okay?"
Satoru was the real and only sight he'll always love.
And Suguru wanted more then to just say three, simple words.
"I love you."
I. Love. You.
so much----
No words come out, and perhaps it's better that way, he decides.
—
When they left, Suguru had excused himself– going to his dorm early, and looking like fresh tomato . (Satoru still giggled at the thought of that.)
He was the most giddiest person alive right now— seeing all those marine animals and Suguru blushing, Suguru smiling..., Suguru scolding him... he felt like he was on the top of the world. And maybe he was.
Shoko walked beside him, lighting a cigarette as she blows smoke, looking down at her phone and admiring her new wallpapr.
Then, she looks at him, taking out a cigarette as she watches his happy expression– smiling like he won the lottery. Which he didn’t need too since he was so fucking rich-
“You love him.” She says, but her voice isn't contained with any surprise-- like she always knew.
“Hell yeah I do." He only grins wider in response.
Satoru puts his hands in his pockets, smirking. “I was planning to tell him right there and then, y’know?”
Shoko, wishing he did and that the two would just together already, raised a brow. “What stopped you?”
“He looked like a red strawberry about to pass out.”
“Of course he did.”
Satoru just shrugs, letting out a chuckle. “Maybe I’ll do it next time– I mean-”
“We have all the time in the world, right?”
—
We have all the time in the world.
We have all the time in the world.
We have all the time in the world we have all the time in the world we have all the time in the world we have all the time in the world we have all the time in the world we have all the time in the world—
“Gojo-sensei?”
The words keep repeating in his head– a loud ringing in his ears–
“I think hes dead.”
"No way. How do you expect him to die while standing?"
"IT WAS A JOKE YOU FUCKI--"
“Huh?”
Satoru snaps back to reality— the white and black fish he was watching had swam to the other side in the so small tank, the blue-light reflecting on his cheek. He straightened up, his hands in his pocket as he had his blindfold on, looking around the familiar place he hadn’t visited in so long. A lot had changed, new sea-animals had been introduced, the decorations changed– he remembers when it had first come out, and when he had gone along with…
Suddenly– his gaze shifts to his first years, the edgy sea urchin haired, the spiky pink haired possessed kid, and satan herself. He smirks at them, tilting his head.
“Yeah? What’cha need?”
Sea urchin looks his way, his usual moody expression on his face. Possessed kid puts his arm around sea urchin’s shoulder, and he winces at the painful memory of him and Suguru that was supposed to be heart-warming. Sometimes he wishes Megumi and Yuji didn't remind him of them. “We were asking if you wanted to go feel the stingrays.”
Oh.
So they still had that?
“Ewwwwwww.. why would you wanna feel sting-rays? I bet they feel weird.” Nobara shudders at the thought of it, and Yuji gives her an offended look. “I heard they feel nice-!”
Nobara just flashes Yuji a disgusted look and scoots 3 feet away from him. "Of course you like them, finger eater." And that causes a "HEY!" from Yuji, the two starting to bicker.
Satoru’s silent for a moment– its taking him everything in his power to not let his grin falter as he makes it seems like hes in deep thought.
And it doesn’t. He won't let it.
He's Satoru fucking Gojo after all.
Satoru shrugs casually, smirking. “Alright-y! then" He pats their heads. "Lets go.”
As the four make their way to the area, Satoru this time puts his hand in the water with slight hesitation, and he can feel the soft nudge— and the comforting feeling, like it was red velvet caressing his skin.
Smooth, he thinks– and he looks over at the three, the trio talking about how nice the stingrays felt or whatever. And how Yuji kept saying "I told you so" to an angry Nobara.
His mind’s only shifting to Suguru and his blushing expression like he was a tomato-- how cute he looked on that day.
How cute.
Satoru looks back at the water, and a pit forms in his stomach as he watches the stingray move around.
We have all the time in the world.
And he silently wishes he said the three words to him that day.
"I love you."
But he lost the time to say that.
---
"Suguru!"
"Hm?"
"Look at the fish--" He points to the black and white one in the small tank. "Don't you think its just like us?"
"Satoru. The black fish is almost dead."
"...Oh."
