It rained all day. Relentlessly storming down on the Abbey beneath the clouds. Thunder rattling the old windows. The fall air became almost frigid and not a soul was out in the Abbey grounds.
The hidden sun finally sets and the rain lets up. quickly, the sky transforms from clouds to a clear star filled sky. An aurora streams across the heavens, illuminating the night with its beauty.
Normally this particular pack of ghouls would be ecstatic to go and view this earthly phenomenon, but there was something much more pressing at hand.
“I don't think I've ever heard Mist yell, it's so off putting” Delta said as he sunk further down the infirmary wall he was sitting against.
“I know, we should probably get her sushi or something, like a prize.” pebble thought out loud.
river turned to look at pebble, who sat next to him “I feel like the baby is he prize”
“congratulations! you just went through 12 hours of labor! Here is some sushi!” River said jokingly to the group.
“better than nothing.” pebble mumble.
“spitting facts” said Delta.
Just then, Zephyr turned the corner into the hall where the pack was camped out in front of the infirmary room. “Guys, the northern lights out there are sick as fuck.”
“You are more excited about some lights in the sky than a new pack member? pff, air ghoul.” Delta rolled his eyes sarcastically.
“What the hell dude? and plus light stuff is a multi ghoul thing, idiot.”
“the sounds like excuses” Delta dramatically said.
“how is that-'' Zephyr got cut off by the sounds of an infant's cry. The room stilled, like time had stopped. Pebble quickly turned his head to the clock.
“10:26 pm, October 17th 1994”
