“Have a good day!” said Mizuki happily from the counter, while a customer left the store. “Ok, one less order. I think I should now work on the dress that Ena asked me for a few days ago” said Mizuki, at the same time they looked at the notebook in which they wrote down all their orders.
“Although i don’t have fabric of the color that Ena asked…” they thought. “Sigh, I guess that I’ll have to go out and buy”. They got up from their chair, put away their notebook and left their house.
Mizuki was pretty well known in the city, because of how good of a tailor they were. But someone who didn’t know them was An. She didn’t visit much of the city, and had never seen herself in need to go to her. At least, until that moment.

“So, if I heard right, while you were coming to the flower shop some crows have come down in a swoop towards you and they’ve broken your hat, didn’t they?” said Akito, while An nodded.
Akito simply sighed. “You should be more careful”.
“I didn’t know that my hat was going to be ruined! I don’t have supernatural powers that allow me to see the future!” protested An.
“Look, go to the city. I’m sure there is some tailor who can fix your hat” said Akito.
And after that, she walked out of the flower shop.

Mizuki was returning from shopping, with the cloth in a bag. They were a few blocks from their house when they saw a girl sitting on a bench. The girl in question had long black hair, with blue tips. She was wearing a yellow and white dress.
Mizuki was enraptured for a moment when they saw her holding a hat in her hands, which was torn. They also noticed that she looked a little sad.
Mizuki hardly knew the girl. They had only seen her a couple of times with flower bouquets. They assumed that she had been in an accident, and her hat had broken, but she didn’t know where to go to ask for help. So they took a deep breath, and decided to approach the black haired girl.
“Ugh, I should’ve asked Akito where I could find a seamstress” said An while she looked at her hat.
Suddenly, it was like An’s prayers were heard.
"Sorry," said an unknown voice. "My name is Mizuki. I noticed that the hat you hold in your hands is torn. I’m a tailor, so if you come with me to my store I can fix it for you" Mizuki said cheerfully.
“SERIOUSLY?” said An, excited, as she raised her head to look at them.
“Yeah. Come with me. My store is not very far from here. It won’t take me too long to fix your hat.” An rose quickly after hearing that.
"Thank you so much!" said An as she smiled.
The world stood still for a moment for Mizuki.
They had never seen a more beautiful smile in their life. It was very warm, like the sun.
Mizuki turned themself back to reality. "By the way, I haven’t asked you. What’s your name?"
"An. An Shiraishi"
“Very good. My name is Mizuki Akiyama. Now, follow me!” said Mizuki while they grabbed An by her hand and started running
Why had they done it? Mizuki didn’t even know. It was something done by instinct.
Then, they heard An’s laughter behind them. And their heart fluttered.
Mizuki looked back. She saw An laughing, with a big smile. She looked radiant, and they could only smile fondly at her.
Why did they feel this way? They had just met An 5 minutes ago
The two girls continued running with their hands intertwined until they arrived at Mizuki’s store.
Mizuki slowed as they approached their house, where her store was located. The two girls stood in front of the door, catching their breath. Then Mizuki noticed their intertwined hands, and quickly blushed. They let go of An’s hand to get their keys, though deep down they wanted to keep holding them.
"Well, here we are" they said as they opened the door.
An was amazed at how big the house was. It was quite cozy.
"It won't be long before I fix your hat. I think it’ll take me about 20 minutes" Mizuki said. After that, they went to their sewing office.

An took the liberty of exploring Mizuki’s house a little. What is called exploring, is observing their living room.
There was a lot of pink in their house. For An, it was no wonder, even though she had met Mizuki that same day.
She was looking at some little stuffed plushies that they had, when Mizuki came into the room.
"Did you make them? They’re super cute"
"Do you like them? They’re from me and some of my friends" said Mizuki, hat in hand.
An smiled.
"Well, here’s your hat"
"Again, thank you very much," said An. When she picked up the hat to put it on, she noticed that they had added a small sunflower-shaped brooch.
"Did you add the brooch? This was not in my hat before"
"I took some liberties. I had finished fixing the hat when I saw that one. It reminded me of your smile, so I decided to add it"
An blushed quite a bit. Mizuki immediately regretted saying that.
An just laughed as she put on her hat, to which Mizuki smiled
"Well, I should be going now. Nice to meet you, Mizuki" An said, heading toward the door.
"Likewise" Mizuki said as she smiled.
As she left the house, An stood at the door for a moment while smiling, and then headed towards her village.

The next day, Mizuki found a sunflower with a small blue ribbon on its doorstep.

"Mizuki? Mizuki!"
"Huh? What happened?"
"You have been staring at the sunflowers for a while and you weren’t responding to anything" said An
"It’s just that seeing them reminded me of when we first met" Mizuki said with an apologetic smile.
"Oh yes, that time you saw me and fell in love with my dazzling beauty" said An with a smirk
"Yes, that time" they said as they looked at An fondly, while holding her hand.
An smiled.
