The game concept is to take the mission structure of deep rock galactic and enemy mechanics, size and team structures of squads of 4 from battlefront the main concept is that you work as one of four classes of elf operators them being the runner bulwark hunter and commander your enemy's are split three ways between zombie like infected called corrupted with varying mutation and some basic feudal lords infected wild life into abominable creatures like reindeer that work similar to white spikes from the movie the tomorrow war or 2 story tall polar bears the cause snow storms and are attracted to electricity which they harness or exploding voles and finally the legion and hive mind controlled by a mutated strain of the corrdisyps fungus mostly focusing on mechanical works such as half cybernetic gorrilas to work as large vehicles repair men or a lemur that are head mechanics large mechanical frames with 999 bodys and one living but infected by the legion member similar to the panzermorder from cod ww2 zombies in order to deal with larger threats one person of every other squad is given the ability to access large mechs call jolly crusaders
