Chapter 1: New Beginnings

Chapter Text

THERAPRISM

"Mr. Cipher."

A voice called through a speaker as the troangle sat in the small, crowded, padded white cell. There was a one way mirror so therapists and employees could see him.

Bill looked at the walls, specifically the flat side.

"We are going to be escorting you to the Axolotl now."

He blinked. Frills? For what reason?

As soon as that, he was in space, an endless floating void full of stars and galaxies.

The Axolotl floated before him. The frills of the amphibian twitched.

"Bill," It said in an almost angelic voice. "I sent you here a decade ago, but I see you have made no improvements to repay your crimes and escape into the real world. What do you have to say?"

"Well, frills!"

Bill perked up in a sarcastic tone as he looked up at it.

"I don't need improvements! My crimes weren't even that bad!"

"May I remind you of-"

"No. But anyways, I think I did my time! Served time and fixed my so called crimes."

The Axolotl nodded it's head in an understanding way.

"Well, your denial is pitiful, but I shall continue to give you a chance."

"And that chance iiissssss??"

He waited eagerly as his eye curved up into a makeshift smile. Whatever was better than the happh Hell hole Bill was forced into!

"You'll see."

GRAVITY FALLS, OREGON

The two twins, now taller and a year older, stepped out the bus.

Dipper had a small bag while Mabel carried at least four and Waddles.

"WE MADE IT!" Mabel yelled, kicking open the door to the Mystery Shack.

Soos and Melody had taken a vacation for the summer, leaving the two sets of Pines twins together for the summer.

"Last one to the attic has to unpack all of the bags!" Dipper called, already running off.

"Hey! You got a headstart, cheater!"

The two pushed eachother around and raced to get to the attic.

"Ugh!"

Dipper huffed as he flopped down on the bed, despite being in the lead, Mabel won.

"How did you win? I was in the lead!" Dipper laughed and looked at Mabel, a curious expression took over his face.

"I'm on five whole cups of Mabel Juice! And I went to sleep!"

Dipper nodded in acknowledgement. "Well, shouldn't we get our bags? Ya know, so Grunkle Stan or Great Uncle Ford have to drag them up here-"

"Too late!"

Stanley smiled proudly as he dropped the bags Mabel had onto the floor.

"GRUNKLE STAN!" Mabel ran to hug her guardian. "How was the seas? Did you see any cool monsters? Did you meet anyone cool?"

Mabel spewed exicted questions of nonsense as Stanley nodded and answered almost all of them, Dipper went to go find Ford.

Ford was probably in the lab he assumed, making his way downstairs to see his other grunkle.

As Dipper rode the elevator down, he wondered what his two grunkles had been up to. Sure, he got a few letters here and there but those were very rare. I guess traveling letters over seas took a while.

Bill woke up on the hard, cold, dirt.

Wow! His body did certainly feel new. Frills certainly outdid itself!–

Wait.

Some. Thing. Is. Wrong.

His body wasn't.. a shape.

He wasn't yellow.

"Wait wait-" The voice..The echo. HE EVEN LOST HIMSELF? HIS ICONIC VOICE?

That pink frilly newt! It made him into some useless, pathetic fleshbag.

Two eyes. Hair. Five fingers. Eugh.

Thank Axolotl for actually giving him some clothes!

A nice, incredibly basic white shirt and black shorts. Although he was missing shoes, he still had socks!

Bill sat up and looked around, he was by his statue. That gave him one Hell of a memory but, he shook it off. It didn't matter. Right now he had to figure out how to stand up and walk!

He crawled over to the statue, using all his strength to lift himself up.

Wobbily, he moved his legs. He moved like some fawn, stumbling around and toppling over trying to figure out how to walk. Eventually though Bill had learned how to walk and began wandering around.

"Oh Gravity Falls, it sure is great to be back!"
