marcyrin stuffs!!

Chapter Text

[ ; marcy and rindou are having a sleepover, simply relaxing and hanging out together whilst watching wall-e. as marcy gets into a passionate rant about the movie, rindou finds herself entranced, leaning in without much consciousness.

—💞

marcy and rindou are well and deep into the movie they’d chosen for this specific sleepover; wall-e.

they’re huddled up underneath a blanket, their heads supporting the material over them as they sit in close proximity. in front of them is the source of the only light inside, the bright glow of the laptop screen, which rindou was completely unable to pay attention to.

of course, she was still invested — somewhat — but couldn’t tear her amethyst eyes away from the prettiest woman she’d ever had the pleasure of seeing. it’s not like rindou was an overly emotional person, not at all, but… something about marcy triggered a different side of her.

a slow and faint smirk curls rindou’s lips as she continues to stare at marcy, who’s barely sparing her a glance.

rindou couldn’t help looking at marcy as though she’s some lovesick puppy who’d just got dozens of pets from its owner. to be fair, though, that would be a fitting description for the both of them.

the smirk on rindou’s face widens, an amused glint shining in her lavender irises upon the sight of tears beginning to well up in marcy’s eyes.

“aw, don’t tell me pretty girl’s gonna cry,” rindou lightheartedly teases, tilting her head with a shit-eating grin.

“s-shut up,” marcy sniffles, hellbent on avoiding rindou’s gaze. “i am not crying.”

“mhm…” rindou hums, arching a bemused eyebrow. “and that’s just vodka in your eyes, yeah?”

“i said shut up!” marcy swats the air near rindou’s smug face, making her laugh lowly. with her other hand, marcy covers her mouth. “you’re distracting me from the movie, you turd.”

“aw, don’t be so mean to me.” rindou pouts, feigning a hurt expression. “i’m just pointing somethin’ out. didn’t know pretty girl doesn’t like facts.”

“here’s a fact, i hate you,” marcy retorts, her voice coming out as a borderline childish mumble.

her tone sends rindou into a minute fit of laughter, her shoulders racking with each chuckle. the sound of marcy’s voice was always adjacent to an angel’s hum to rindou’s ears, but in this moment, that feeling grew tenfold.

“shut your mouth, okay? i’m trying to watch something here,” marcy huffs, shoving rindou’s head. her stomach twists at rindou’s laughter, and she just couldn’t pinpoint why she felt so affected by it.

“damn, doll, sorry,” rindou unapologetically snickers, letting up on her antics. the small grin on her face doesn’t disappear, her teeth visible.

the smile and rindou’s tone makes marcy’s face heat up, but she dims down those emotions in an attempt to keep herself in check. “good.”

a calm silence falls over them, save for the noises of the movie playing. rindou rests her elbow on her knee, her cheek in her palm as she simply gazes at marcy with the the most adoring glint possible. it looked like rindou was staring at the most magnificent creation in existence — which, to her, that was exactly what marcy is — and not a girl on the verge of tears due to an emotional movie.

then again, that girl on the verge of tears due to an emotional movie was the most magnificent creation in existence to rindou. of course, other than music.

…but she’d beg to differ even from that, deep down.

rindou’s attention piques as she notices marcy biting her lip to stifle a sob.

oh, god. she wanted to bite her lip for her. really, very badly. maybe soothe it with a gentle kiss or with her tongue afterwards.

rindou gulps, her expression darkening just slightly. her breathing starts to grow a bit laboured, and she’s barely in control of her own body when tears begin to spill from marcy’s eyes — the prettiest, softest eyes rindou had the blessing of viewing.

without thinking, rindou gently wipes marcy’s tear-stained cheeks with her thumb, making the latter glance at her and give out a noise of confusion.

that little sound might as well have been a freshly sharpened dagger to rindou’s heart, in the best way possible.

“rindou..?” marcy whispers, eyes wide in shock from her best friend’s brazen yet soft actions. rindou’s palm remains on marcy’s cheek, keeping her face in her hold.

before marcy could speak again, rindou leans in and crashes her lips onto marcy’s, tilting her jaw to her liking.

she kisses marcy, in the most tender and raw display of passion she’d ever performed within her years of living.

marcy freezes, taken completely off guard. rindou pulls away slowly, not releasing the other girl.

savoring the hints of watermelon that transferred from marcy’s lips to rindou’s, the latter marginally smirks.

“you taste better than i imagined.”

marcy’s brain short-circuits.
