This perfect moment
The moment when I gave you that letter,
nervously terrified of what you might say, the panic setting in,
thinking it was a mistake,
But in this moment, my heart was beating for you.
and only you.
In this perfect moment, you made my world stop,
You were nervous about what I’d written.
It was ironic that both of us were thinking of one another.
Your mind was racing with all the insults I might have thought, but in reality it was words of love, asking if you felt the same.
In this perfect moment, my heart skipped a beat.
when you smiled and said.
You had the same feelings.
How you made me feel over the moon that day.
As if I had the stars themselves smiling at me.
My father would have never blessed us, but Aphrodite filled that spot. With her blessing.
For all that has happened since that perfect moment, we grew with each other, and may we continue to.
