Work Text:

Jooyeon and Hyeongjun don't even try to hide their crushes anymore. From the very obvious staring, to the shameless giggling whenever one of the guys does literally anything. They think they’re being subtle, but it's extraordinarily obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes and common sense. It’s a good thing Seungmin and Jiseok think they’re cute.

Jooyeon spends hours mulling over his predicament. He’s trying to find the best way to ask Hyeonjun to help him with this… thing. It should be easy, right? I mean Hyeongjun is one of his best friends in the entire world. He knows that Hyeongjun would do just about anything for him. But this isn’t something you can just bring up in a regular conversation. It's not as easy as asking him to pass the butter at the breakfast table. How does one go about asking their best friend if he would like to practice kissing? And yes, Jooyeon likes Jiseok. A lot. Which is why he needs to be good–great at kissing by the time he gets his chance with his hyung. Easy enough. Hyeongjun would understand that… right?

He sends that text asking Hyeungjun to meet him in his and Gunil’s room anyways.

“Yah, Jjoo?” he whispers upon entering. “You there?” No answer. Hyeongjun makes himself comfortable on Jooyeon’s bed to wait for him. Not long too long after, Jooyeon comes out of the bathroom.

“Hey hyung” he says, crawling onto the empty space next to Hyeongjun. Jooyeon is oddly quiet, chewing the insides of his cheeks, toying with the hem of his oversized power rangers t-shirt. “So…” he begins, not bothering to look up at Hyeongjun for fear he’d chicken out. “... I–um”

Gently lifting his chin, Hyengjung smiles at Jooyeon. “Hey” he says. “You okay?”

Jooyeon turns pink. Since when did he turn pink when Hyeongjun looks him in the eye? All he has to do is explain why he asked Hyeongjun to come see him, explain his virgin-lips situation and–

“Can you kiss me?” he blurts out, then his eyes widen. Jooyeon slaps his hand over his mouth when Hyeongjun slowly pulls his hands away. That is NOT how it went in his head. Maybe this was a bad idea. But he can’t take it back now. How could he possibly save himself from this? God, what if Hyeongjun thinks he likes him romantically?

“Ahh…what?” Hyeongjun asks. Because there's no way Jooyeon just said that.

“What– no it's not what you think, I swear!” Jooyeon exclaims. It kind of is, but not really. How's he going to get Hyeongjun to believe him though?

“Okay cause for a second there I thought you asked me to kiss you?” Hyeongjun stares at Jooyeon, waiting for any semblance of denial but it never comes. “You want me to kiss you?” he asks again, confused.

“Yeah?” Jooyeon responds. But it’s not what you think”

“But you like Gaon hyung, don't you? And you know that I like Seungmin. So what is–”

“It’s really not what you think. I just–” he sighs. “ I just wanted to…practice. Cause I–I've never kissed anyone before. And I wanna be good at it for when I finally get my shot with hyung” he hopes that that makes enough sense to Hyeongjun. “And you've never kissed either, so maybe you can practice too? For Seungmin hyung. Win win, right?”

Hyeongjun quietly stares at him. Considering, Jooyeon hopes. It’s really not the worst idea he's ever had. And they'll both get something out of it.

“I’ll be right back” Hyeongjun suddenly says, and before Jooyeon can protest, he’s out the door, leaving Jooyeon alone in the room for an hour. Jooyeon fears the worst.

“Shit. What did I just do?” he whines. But he doesn’t get to sulk for too long as Hyeongjun swings the door open again. He seems to have had a shower. Hyeongjun closes the door behind him, locking it. He gets back to his spot next to Jooyeon, sitting criss-cross facing him. Even in the dim lighting, Jooyeon can see Hyeongjun’s cheek and ears burning red. Is he nervous? Why is he nervous? Jooyeon is beginning to change his mind. “Hyung we don't have to do this if you don't want to. Sorry I brought it up–”

“I’ll do it” Hyeogjun says, and Jooyeong can't believe his ears. Hyeongjun can’t deny that he could use the practice. Afternall, Seungmin isn’t exactly shy or stingy with details of his sexual experiences. “How do we…?”

Scooting closer to Hyeongjun, Jooyeon smiles, “Oh. Um.. we just do it? I guess?” This is actually about to happen.

“Yeah, okay” Hyeongjun says and then he’s leaning in; Jooyeon carefully follows suit. They’re gonna kiss? They’re gonna kiss. Yeah. There’s a sudden tension hanging between them that neither of them anticipated, but they don’t hate it; and when their lips meet, they both gasp ever so softly. It’s analytical. Robotic, almost. But it’s nice. Neither of them know what to do with their hands, so they just keep them neatly in their respective laps with their lips pressed together. Jooyeon doesn’t know what he expected, but there's heat radiating off of Hyeongjun’s skin that he finds comforting. He tastes minty, too. And his lips are really damn soft. Hyeongjun finds that he likes the way Jooyeon feels as they're connected. His mouth, his warmth. It feels natural, like they were meant to be each other’s first kiss. When they finally break apart, they're both flushed and panting.

“Woah” Jooyeon says. They barely did anything but it was already better than anything either of them expected.

“Yeah” Hyeongjun responds. They stare at each other, silently asking ‘how was it’. “Should we do it again?”

“Yeah.. o-okay” he says, and they both lean in again. They moan into each other, and Hyeongjun hums in satisfaction when Jooyeon snakes his hands around his neck. Parting his lips ever so slightly, Hyeongjun drags Jooyeon into his lap,  swallowing the delicious little noise that slips past his lips. The younger man wastes no time wrapping his legs around Hyeongjun's waist.

The kiss is deeper, harder. Hyeongjun then gingerly slips his tongue into Jooyeon’s mouth making the younger man gasp, and suck on it. Once they’ve found a rhythm, they really get into it. Hyeongjun places his hands on Jooyeon’s waist, subtly pulling him down onto his hardening length. Jooyeon seems to have gotten the message and begins grinding into Hyeongjun.

“Fuck, hyung” he hisses, and Hyeongjun takes the opportunity to tug his bottom lip between his teeth. Their lips crash together once again, lingering a bit longer this time. When they reluctantly part for the last time, Hyeongjun lets his forehead rest on Jooyeon’s while they catch their breath. As far as first kisses go, Jooyeon can’t imagine it gets better than this. It couldn’t possibly get better than this. They’re both still definitely into Seungmin and Jiseok, but they wouldn’t be opposed to doing this again.

The weeks following are… interesting. Jooyeon and Hyeonjun become increasingly more awkward around each other. They’d blush fiercely whenever the other enters the room, and it becomes difficult to look at each other for more than five seconds. But that doesn't stop them from finding time, carving out even five minutes from their ridiculous schedules so they can find a quiet place to kiss some more. They secretly research different techniques to surprise each other for their next practice sessions. It was originally Jooyeon’s idea, but Hyeongjun is the one who suggested that they do it more frequently. Practice makes perfect, after all.

So when they're not gawking at Seungmin and Jiseok, they're tangled together, tongues dancing in harmony, rutting against each other. Every time they kiss, they do it like it's the last time their lips will ever meet. When Hyeongjun bites down and sucks on his lips, Jooyeon pulls him closer, as if demanding his warmth. As if daring him to let go. Jooyeon has taken to littering kisses along Hyeongjun's jaw and his neck, hissing when Hyeongjun slots his leg between Jooyeon’s,  letting the younger writhe against his thigh as his tongue explores his mouth, breathing into him, swallowing down every sound he makes.

If anyone were to ask them how they ended up like this, they won’t be able to answer. Because they themselves don't have a fucking clue. This started off so innocently; just two friends willing to help each other out for the sake of impressing future boyfriends. That’s all it was supposed to be. But it’s become something more than that. Much more. Something neither of them could explain even if their lives depended on it. They’ve talked about it before, about how it could potentially drive a wedge between them, and the men they have romantic feelings for. And that's not to say that they don’t love each other; Jooyeon knows that Hyeongjun loves him to the moon and back. As does he love Hyeongjun. But they both agree that they still seriously want to be with Seungmin and Jiseok. But they also agree that there’s something between them; It’s not even sexual. They don’t quite understand what it is exactly, but it’s something.

They both make it clear that they don’t want to give each other up even if–when then get into a relationship. Maybe that’s selfish, maybe it’s greedy. But that’s where they’re at, and they don’t know how to move forward from there. They should probably talk to their hyungs, but they don’t think they even know how they feel about them (They do. Everyone does). A week later, Seungmin and Jiseok ask Jooyeon and Hyeongjun to meet them because they “need to talk”. They pick a day when Jungsu and Gunil would be busy so they’d have the house to themselves. It’s okay. This is fine. It’s not like “we need to talk” is the most anxiety inducing sentence in the entire English lexicon.

“What’s going on, hyung??” Hyeongjun asks, staring at Seungmin and Jiseok with a concerned look on his face.

“Everything’s fine, sweetie.” Seungmin says. “What about you guys? Is everything okay with you ?” he finishes, and Jiseok flashes them a gentle smile.

“Yeah? What’s this about?” Jooyeon asks.

“So there's nothing you guys wanna tell us? Nothing at all?”Jiseok asks, and he can tell that neither of them know what he’s getting at. He sighs. “We've noticed you acting a little weird lately. Weirder than usual. Something’s going on with the two of you” he says gently, but matter-of-factly. “But we totally understand if you don't wanna talk about it. Gunil hyung is starting to worry” Hyeongjun and Jooyeon look like they’re about to run away.

“You guys are dating, right?” Seungmin adds.

“What?” they ask in unison. They’re sure they misheard.

“It’s okay if you are, you know. Gunil and Jungsu are dating, so it’s fine if you guys are too” Jiseok says. Hyeongjun and Jooyeon are flabbergasted. The men they like, think they’re dating.

“You guys think…we’re dating?” Hyeongjun asks, as if he can’t fathom why they’d think that when the two of them are attached at the lips every chance they get. It makes sense why their friends think they’re in a relationship. “We’re not really in a relationship… we–we just”

“Aren't you? We see the way you look at each–” Seungmin is cut off by Hyeongjun.

“I like you, Seungmin hyung. I like you a lot” he says, and his words evoke confidence. But there’s something in the way they’re spoken that tells Seungmin that there’s more that they want to say.

“And I like you, Gaon hyung” Jooyeon adds, and they both smile. They have such beautiful smiles.

“We know” they say, flashing Jooyeon and Hyeongjun a tender smile. “We know you like us”

“You do?” Jooyeon asks, his cheeks flushed.

“Of course we do. Were you trying to keep it a secret?” They were, truly.

“Then why didn’t you say anything?” Hyeongjun says.

“We figured you'd tell us when you're ready.” Jiseok adds. And here Jooyeon thought he couldn’t be more into him. “I like you a lot too, you know”

“And I like you, Hyeongjun” Seungmin blushes. But before the boys can react, Seungmin adds “But there’s something between you two. You can deny that” he says; Jooyeon and Hyeongjun look at each other like wounded puppies.

“We know” Hyeongjun says, but he’ll have to elaborate for them to fully understand. So he goes on to tell them about their “practice sessions” and waxes poetic about what they’ve been feeling for each other ever since they started kissing. Seungmin and Jiseok seem to understand almost immediately. What’s most surprising is what Jooyeon says afterwards.

“Can I say something? To all three of you” lhe says, and they give him their undivided attention. “First of all, Gaon hyung, I need you to know that I’m serious about being with you if you wanna be with me for real. I really, really like you. Okay?”

“Okay, Jooyeonie. I wanna be with you, for sure. Just tell us yeah? It’s okay” he says, and their friends nod in agreement.

“Okay. I’m serious about being with you, but you were right. There is something between me and Hyeongjun. And I’m not–we’re not entirely sure what it is, but I don't wanna give it up. I’m sorry, but I'm not. I think, no, I know. I’m in love with him.” he says. Turning to face him, Jooyeon takes Hyeongjun’s hands in his. “I love you, Hyeongjun.” To say that his friends are shocked by straightforward admission would be an understatement.

“Jooyeon…” Hyeongjun says, his eyes soft as he gazes at Jooyeon. “I’m in love with you too. And I’m also very serious about you Seungmin hyung.”

“I know it's selfish, so if you guys don’t want to be with us after this, we get it. But we’re in love with both of you. And we’re in love with each other”

It is a lot to take in, but it’s good that they're honest from the beginning. Sometimes you can’t help who you fall in love with. And it's not the end of the world if you fall in love with more than one person at once. How they move forward from now is up to Jiseok and Seungmin. Jiseok is the first to speak.

“Thanks for telling us” he says, then he pauses, considering his words carefully before he speaks again. “I still want to be with you, Jooyeon. And I’m sure Seungmin still wants to be with you too, Hyeongjun. Right?” he asks seungmin, who nods in agreement.

“We noticed a while back that you guys had something, but didn’t say anything because it didn’t seem like you’d had figured it out yet.” Seungmin smiles. “But now that you have, you should know that it doesn't change how we feel about you. And we wouldn’t dare try to come between you two. Especially since Gaon and I also in love and kiss a lot”

Oh.

“So…so you guys are dating?” Jooyeon asks.

“Yes” they respond.

“And you still… want to be with us?” Hyeongjun asks.

“We do, but… there’s more” Jiseok says, and they both perk up. “I want to be with Jooyeon, but I want to be with you too, Hyeongjun. If you’ll have me. If you’re both okay with that.”

“I want to be with Jooyeon too” Seungmin adds. “We want to date both of you. All of us, together.” he says.

OH.

Never in a million years did Jooyeon and Hyeongjun think they’d end up with two boyfriends.

All of them. Together.

“Are you okay with this, Hyeongjun?” Jooyeon asks. And he already knows the answer, but he needs to hear the words.

“I am, of course I am. Are you?”

And of course he is. So they agree, they’re together. All four of them, and it’s going to be beautiful. Jiseok and Seungmin take turns hugging Jooyeon and Hyeongjun. When it was Seungmin’s turn to hug Hyeongjun, he buried his face in the younger man’s neck, inhaling deeply. Hyeongjun lets his hands slide down to Seungmin’s waist as they gaze lovingly at each other.

“So…” Jiseok begins. “Why don’t you guys show us what you’ve learned from all your practice?” he says, and his lips curl into a smirk as he pulls Jooyeon closer to his face. Hyeongjun already has Seungmin in his lap and a tongue in his mouth before Jiseok even finishes speaking. Jiseok then brings his and Jooyeon’s lips together, and he’s pleasantly surprised by how well they fit together. Jiseok gasps when Jooyeon rolls his tongue into his mouth, and he moans into the kiss.

“I taught him that, " Hyeongjun says proudly as he saunters towards Jiseok. “Can I kiss you, hyung?” he asks, and Jiseok wouldn't dare say no to him.

“Come here, Jooyeonie” Seungmin coos, then he’s pulling Jooyeon into a heated kiss because nobody can stop him. They’re boyfriends.

All of them, together.
