Summary:

Taiga/You

Chapter Text

Taiga Hoshibami hated this school. He especially hated the stuffy meetings he was forced to attend since he was the Captain, yawn. He hated the whole Darkwick faculty and everything they stood for.

Oh the memories! With a sigh Taiga finished his 3rd drink and motioned to his blond classmate to refill his empty glass. He scanned the bar which was dimly lit, with soft jazz playing in the background. It was the perfect place to unwind plus free booze. He didn't have to hear Lulu yelling at him or forcing him to do something for the casino. As well as the annoying ghoul lawyer dumbass always trying to have sign something for him.

As he sipped his drink, Taiga couldn't help but think about the strange lapse in memories he had encountered recently. He knew the more he used his Stigma without having blood the more of his memories would be distorted but so was the price he paid.

But tonight, he was taking a break. He closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the smooth burn of the whiskey. Suddenly, he heard a voice next to him. Who could it be the voice was distantly familiar but he knew he recognized the scent.

"Mind if I join you?"

Taiga opened his eyes to see you. You wore a sleek black dress, giving off an air of confidence. You had just came back from a meeting with Jin

"Don’t pop up out of nowhere like that. Wouldn’t want me to shoot you by mistake, would you?”

Taiga shrugged gesturing to the empty seat beside him.

You sat down tapping the bar while waiting for Rui to appear.

"I want to get to know you better if you were going to shoot me you would've started counting down you only kill anomalies"

I'm less afraid of him than I used to be though. It should be fine. I made it this far I need to stand my ground.

Taiga stared you down for a couple of minutes which felt like hours before he finally responded back.

"There's a spy among us ghouls y'know real slimy fucker, trying to screw us if you want to get to know me better figure out who it is"

In his eyes I saw a waver of conflict like he was fighting a non winning battle within himself.

"I'll find out who's trying to screw with all of you"

I stared at him patiently waiting for his response back. I intended to prove myself I didn't know how my ability fully worked but I would try my best. As well as get rid of this curse that would kill me in a year.

"Gyahaha! I like you mouse"

Finally Rui appeared he jumped seemly surprised to see you sitting by the Captain of Sinostra.

"Rui! Can I have one of your cocktails?"

"Of course a special drink is coming right up for you you're going to give me a heart attack one of these days but I'll willing die for you" Rui winked at you while grabbing different syrups and a cocktail glass from the bar.

You blushed while smiling softly at Rui. Since the last case you had done together he had been nothing but sweet and friendly.

Taiga looked at the interaction with interest.

He glanced in your direction and suddenly stood up until he was right by your stool he traced your check with gentle fingers then he leaned in bringing his lips close to my ear.

"I won't die for you, but I'll live for you I'll get rid of the pesky curse of yours and in return little kitten you'll owe me."

You blushed bashfully choosing to stare at the bar ahead instead of looking directly at him.

He grinned showing off his pearly white teeth and sat back down on his stool tapping his finger as a signal to Rui to refill his drink again.

Taiga Hoshibami was the kind of guy that no one wanted to be around for to long He was known for getting into fights, breaking rules, and causing chaos wherever he went. Half of Darkwick wanted nothing to do with him.

But beneath his tough exterior, there was a soft spot that very few people knew about. You knew it was there but you were slightly afraid of hearing this new development would he remember this tomorrow or would you end up with gun at your temple again. Regardless you felt like he finally letting you even if just a tiny bit. You really didn't want to die.

Rui coughed choosing not to comment on the whole ordeal since he wasn't sure what had been said and it seemed you were okay. If something had happened to you he would've helped immediately of course. He smiled softly at you while placing your drink down.

"Our finest drink for our one and only honor student."
