You know about the ‘why’ phase but have you ever heard of the “duh” phase?
It's ok if you haven't. Only know-it-all’s go through it but unfortunately for Katsuki his best friend is a know-it-all.
Katsuki knew Izuku that knew a lot but didn't think Izuku thought he knew everything.
No one knows everything, even Katsuki could admit that.
Plop was the sound of a mountain of comic books hitting his kitchen table.
The colorful spines read “allmight’s mighty adventures”.
Katsuki didn't know there were allmight comics.
“There are allmight comics?”
“Duh kacchan. My mom took me to the library yesterday and I've already read the first 5 so you can borrow those.”
Izuku didn't need to ask if Katsuki wanted to borrow the comics. He knew he did.
“You don't know that I wanted to read those.”
He did. In fact, he was jealous that his own mother hadn’t taken him to the library to discover them first.
“Yes, you do. AllMight is the best hero ever kacchan, duh.”

“What's that?”
“It's spinach Kacchan, duh. It's the most nutrient-rich vegetable ever. We need to start eating it lots if we ever want to become as strong as Allmight.”
Katsuki had only ever seen his mother eating spinach in horenso salads and she wasn't anywhere near as big as all might.
“No way it is. The leaves are so small.”
“It is so. The lady in the cooking show I watch said so.”
Izuku watches cooking shows now?
Well, katsuki would too. He'll know tons more about food and nutrients than stupid Izuku did.

Katsukis 6th birthday was in a month.
The cake was going to be vanilla because that was Katsuki's favorite.
The decorations would be all might themed of course.
In spite of all of Izukus rambling, Katsuki had no idea why Izuku was so excited about his birthday.
Didn't he know it meant Katsuki would be starting elementary school before Izuku?
“I hope we get the same teacher next year. Maybe we can even sit next to each other.”
Was Izuku stupid or did he just not know?
“We can't be in the same class because I'll be in elementary school.”
Izuku was looking at him like he was stupid. He's not stupid.
“Your birthday’s on April 20th. You have to be 6 before the first day of April to go to elementary school. Duh, kacchan, everybody knows that.”
Katsuki didn't know that but just this once he was glad Izuku was a know-it-all.
