"Hmm i read the letter you sent me last night ochako~" The regal looking girl with long blonde hair flowing all the way to her waist smiles gently at her and she feels her heart beat thump heavily inside her chest because her eyes are so drawn to those beautiful pink lips of hers and those cute fangs of hers.
She opens her mouth to speak but finds her throat choked on words and all she can do is blush as the princess, her princess laughs so gently.
"Hmm, it's okay ochako you don't have to say anything you said enough in your letter, it was... Beautiful." Her princess, her himiko smiles as she leans against her and she wraps her arms around her to hold her close. Her heart is thundering in her chest because this moment feels so perfect because there's no one to interrupt this moment between them, no one.
Her himiko, her fiancee raises her hand as she looks at the ring she gave her with the letter last night and she blushes because she feels like it's not worthy of a princess. She tightens her grip around her fiancee, her soon wife and himiko places a hand on her jaw to comfort her.
"I don't care about how expensive it is ochako or how much money you could have spent on something else that doesn't matter to me because i love you and anything you give me is enough, if you proposed to me with nothing but a piece of string i would still have said yes ochako because i have wanted to marry you for a long time and i didn't need a ring for you to prove it i just wanted you to say yes" the words from her other half are so perfect they fill her eyes with tears and all she can do is bury her face into her neck to cry out how much she loves himiko, her princess, her lover, her fiancee, her soon to be wife, her wife, her-.
"I love you" she meakly mumbles those words she wishes she could say with more confidence because that's what her wife deserves.
"I love you too ochako, my wife, my knight" she wishes she could say them as confidently as she does but instead she just holds her close because if she can't say it then she can show her instead.
Himikos giggles fill her head as everything begins to fade away to darkness.
Ochako...
Ochako... Please... Wake up... Please my knight... Open your eyes!
Please... I miss you...
Please...
I love you...
Her eyes begin to stir as that voice speaks to her, she feels groggy and stiff like she hasn't moved in months or years and she begins to move her body to try and stretch away that stiff feeling. But when she moves she hears liquid moving and then fear starts to fill her when she moves again and hears more liquid around her. Her eyes force themselves open as she bolts straight up from where she was sleeping and feels liquid fall from her body. Panic fills her whole body as all she can think about is getting out of the liquid. She scrambles and yelps as she grabs at the edge of the thing she is in and pulls herself over it until she falls over and hits the floor with a heavy thud.
She pants and heaves as she catches her breath and waits for her eyes to stop being blurry so she can see. It takes a few minutes for her to stop breathing so heavily and the panic to finally start to leave her body. But now she realizes she has a new problem, she's cold and it's freezing in this...
Her eyes focus on her surroundings and it looks like she's in some sort of cave or something. Where is she? She shivers and wraps her arms around herself to try and keep herself warm. She can't do anything else if she freezes to death first.
"It's freezing in here" she looks around for anything to keep her warm and she spots a small chest that looks like it's well worn and old. She tries to get up to walk to it but wobbles and almost falls on her face before falling to her knees and decides to crawl there instead. When she finally gets there she half expects it to be empty with the day she's having. She grumbles to herself as she pulls the surprisingly unlocked chest open and sees clothing inside. She breathes a sigh of relief as she goes to grab it and drops the lid on her head.
"Ow!" She grumbles as she grabs everything in the chest before lifting the lid off her head before it closes on itself. She rubs the top of her head as she sets everything down and looks at everything she got.
It's... Raggedy old clothes and she's a little disappointed but at least it's a full set of clothes plus there's a full set of boots too!
A part of her feels joyful for some reason looking at the crappy clothes but she can't tell why.
She doesn't waste a second getting dressed because she only has a pair of surprisingly dry underwear on in this cold cave and she doesn't want to die here. As she's getting dresses the familiar memory of someone with long blonde flowing hair repeats in her head and she keeps trying to say a name that she doesn't know. It's on the tip of her tongue.
"Hi... Himi...."
"Himiko i love you"
*Beep beep*
She turns to look at where the sound is coming from and sees a strange blue glowing stone slab with something sticking out of it at the top. It beeps again and she's afraid to touch it. She grabs a rock from next to her and tosses it at the beeping thing at the top and then whirls and twists and she shirks back as if it will do something bad to her then it goes silent again.
Just.... Fucking... Take it!
A strange distant voice calls out to her that sounds familiar and she decides to listen to it as she tries to walk towards it. Her steps are shaky and she can barely keep her balance to stay upright but some how she manages and she makes her way to the obelisk thing before landing on top of it and she looks at the beeping thing and hesitates for a moment before pulling on it and whatever it is comes off into her hand.
She looks it over until she finds the glowing blue part that suddenly changes shape and color and an image appears and her eyes go wide when a familiar feeling blossoms in her chest when she sees her.
Himiko...
This girl whoever she is in this image that's the only name that comes to her when she sees this crystal like painting of her. She has the undeniable urge to reach out and touch her and feel her close to her and she doesn't know why? But when her fingers touch the strange surface of this thing the image changes and then her eyes go wide when she sees it's a image of her and the girl from before, himiko and it's them...
They're in a forest alone together and they're... kissing.
She pulls herself away from the obelisk as she tries touching different places around the smooth surface of the thing... Sheikah slate? The word comes back to her and she finds touching different places does different things. She finds theres more images, pictures she recalls, and each one fills her with strange feelings. Each one tells her of a relationship she had with someone she doesn't know and can't find, each one fills her with a familiarity that she's starting to crave and she doesn't know if she wants this or not and just when she's starting to get somewhere it goes dark and so does the obelisk.
"What? No no no! Come back, come back!" She taps desperately at every part of the sheikah slat to try and bring it back to life but it won't come back to life no matter what she does and she begins to cry as she falls to her knees.
"Why why why?!" She cries for what feels like hours because she was starting to get back a semblance of something if only for a moment but now it's gone and she doesn't know what to do, what is she supposed to do?
Then she hears it that beautiful voice that sounds so familiar and she listens so desperately to it.
Needs... Energy... Find... Shrine...Tower...
Then she watches as the wall that had trapped her in this place begins to move away and then after a moment it's gone and she's free and are see a light at the end of the tunnel that she can see. Her heart races as she begins to walk towards it on shaky legs and she hears that voice again.
Find me... Please...ochako... My... Knight...
She grits her teeth as she finally steps into the light and bears those words in her heart.
Then she feels wind rushing past her and birds chirping as she begins to take in her surroundings.
'It's so beautiful' the forest, the tress, the mountains, the volcano?, it's all so beautiful, but the only thing she can think of in this moment is one thing and how it can't compare to her as the only memory she has flashes through her mind.
Where she is holding her in her arms as they say those words to each other.
She touches her hand to her chest as looks over everything in front of her and speaks her promise.
"I'll find you I promise himiko"
She looks to where the wind blows and sees a building in the distance and decides that will be the first step on her journey.
