Work Text:
Summers aren’t normally this warm in Trench. It’s not a warm country. Or a warm continent. But today it’s sunny, and the breeze is light, and Josh is going to take the opportunity to wear as little clothing as possible just because he can.
In their shared tent, Tyler’s still asleep. Wrapped in various blankets like a cocoon, and he honestly doesn’t blame him. Last night was kind of fucking crazy.
“Oh my God,” hands scrabbling for purchase on Josh’s shoulders, Tyler’s hair sticks to his forehead with sweat. “Josh. Fuck. Fuck-“
Been too long. It wasn’t enough to hold hands under the table or sit unbearably close to each other during the campfire. It only took the uncomfortably long amounts of eye contact before they were shoving each other into the tent, hands tearing at their clothes.
Tyler slaps a hand over his own mouth, eyes squeezing shut because every time Josh’s hips snap into his, his cock twitches, leaking onto himself. He never was known to be the quiet one.
Josh stirs hot water from a kettle into a chipped ceramic mug. It’s filled with cheap instant coffee-a luxury saved usually for mornings after sex. What can he say? Old habits die hard.
Tyler’s nails dig into his back. There’s something beautiful about the temporary pain. The temporary marks that will linger on his skin but eventually disappear. It’s like Tyler has to reclaim him as his over and over again. But he doesn’t mind.
“Please touch me,” Tyler gasps, back arching off the pile of blankets below him. “Josh-“
“You need to be quiet,” Josh says lowly, hissing into his ear. “They can probably hear you all the way in Dema by now. Jesus.”
“Who fucking cares,” Tyler whines.
Josh stirs the coffee up with his finger after letting it cool. Tastes like shit. But it’s the best he’s going to get. Tyler mumbles in his sleep and rolls over, wrapping more blankets around himself. He’s basically gone now, buried under it all.
Tyler’s jaw falls slack when Josh’s hand wraps around his cock. “Please,” he says, breathless, bucking up into the touch, “please, please, please-“ he’s so embarrassing. Pre-cum leaking onto his stomach, flushed all the way down to his chest. Aching for more.
“What?”
“Oh, don’t make me beg for it,” Tyler whines high in the back of his throat, “I just got back from Corporal Punishment: the video game. Give me a fuckin’ break and jack me off.”
Okay. Well. He’s not wrong.
“Sorry,” Josh huffs and wraps his free hand around his dick. The poor thing damn near squeals.
”Oh my God,” he says, drawing out the vowels. “I love you. Fuck. I love you.”
Josh shuts him up with a hard, messy kiss. Teeth and tongue. But it works regardless.
God, Tyler snores loud. He’ll never believe or admit to it, but Josh will always know. He’d say it’s cute, but it’s not. He drools a lot, too. And kicks in his sleep.
Josh searches for any stray sugar in their food containers.
“Where,” Josh grunts, face tucked into the crook of his neck. He sucks a mark into the skin and Tyler groans.
“Inside,” he says immediately. His legs wrap around Josh’s waist. Trapping him.
Josh runs a hand through his hair and grimaces because fuck, he would kill for a shower right now. A nice waterfall or something, especially because it’s so nice out. But instead he’s just going to dunk his head into a barrel of water with a bar of soap and pretend like it’s enough.
Whatever. He should check on the morning duties.
Tyler’s fingers tangle in his hair, tugging at it.
“You’re dirty,” Josh says with a breathless laugh. “Filthy.”
“You asked,” Tyler shoots back, swallowing thickly. His voice is raw.
Josh exits their tent and stretches, coffee cup in his hand, sun shining, and God it feels good to be shirtless. Maybe he’s just internally addicted to being a little slut, but there’s just something so freeing about not wearing a shirt. And Trench has been adamant about the weather being too cold to do so.
Banditos are bustling about. Taking care of morning duties. Doling out breakfast, preparing kits for lunch, collecting information from the reconnaissance missions of last night. There’s a constant stream of intercepted letters that they’ll have to look over soon.
It’s weird this morning, though. Everyone seems to do a double take when they see him. Is he really that hot? Or maybe he’s out of shape. Now he’s self conscious. Fuck. Maybe he should put a shirt on.
“I’m cumming.” Tyler squirms below him, breath coming out in huffs, cheeks red. “Oh my God. Please don’t stop. Please-“
Josh fucks into him at the same pace that he pulls at his cock. Tyler always tenses so much when he cums. Teeth grit, eyes shut, thighs shaking. He lets out little “hah”’s and twitches from the overstimulation as his own cum spills over Josh’s fist and pools down his stomach.
He pretends not to notice. Checks in with the lead Banditos who take care of the morning chores. They all seem to flush when they see him, and he can hear their hushed whispers as soon as he turns around. Whatever.
“Everything all right?” He asks one of them, who seems intent on not making eye contact.
“Yeah,” she squeaks, “fine!” And then she’s rushing off before Josh can say anything and he can hear her muffled giggles behind her hand as she goes. What the fuck.
“Fuck,” he snaps through grit teeth, “I’m cumming. Fuck, Tyler-“
Tyler’s hands slide down Josh’s back. He pulls him impossibly closer. “So good for me,” he pants, “always fuck me so good, Josh. God.”
They’re hot, sweaty skin on skin, bodies melting into each other. Josh cums in him and he damn near purrs. “Missed you,” he murmurs, tucking a curl behind Josh’s ear.
Josh leans down, pressing their foreheads together. “Yeah?”
”Yeah. Maybe just a little.”
They kiss soft. Slow. Holding each other, basking in the warm air they’ve created from each other.
He’s walking towards recon when someone stops him.
“Hey,” one of the higher ups-Josh thinks his name is George-jogs to catch up to him. “I don’t wanna…assume anything, but you’ve kind of got something all over you. I don’t know if anyone’s said anything to you yet-“
Josh furrows his eyebrows. “What do you mean?” He looks down at his stomach and doesn’t see anything. “Like bug bites or something?”
“On your back,” they say sheepishly. “Um. Like…handprints?”
His expression drops. “Handprints?” He echoes. “Is there uh…a mirror? Do we even have one of those?” He doesn’t need a fucking mirror. He knows exactly what’s all over his back.
God damn it.
There’s a ringing in his ears. Not that the Banditos didn’t already know that their leaders were fucking nasty every night, but this kind of hard launch is…not what Josh wanted.
“They’re black, right? Like paint?” He says. The Bandito nods. “Right,” he says with a sigh, looking around. “Okay. Uh. Can you run and get me a shirt? Please?”
They nod, and start towards his and Tyler’s tent.
“Wait. No,” Josh jogs ahead of them. “I’ll get it. I’ll get it. Just-go back to whatever you were doing.” He can feel his face heat up with even more embarrassment when he realizes he just about sent that poor dude into the tent where it all went down last night. God knows if Tyler is even clothed.
So now he’s doing the walk of shame back to the tent, eyes still all on him.
“Get back to work,” he snaps at a particular group of girls fawning over him. “This is important.”
Tyler is sat up, groggy when he re-enters the tent.
“Hi,” he croaks.
“Fuck my life,” Josh replies.
“Okay,” Tyler says, “not a morning guy, I guess. I’ve heard worse.” He rubs his eye and yawns. “When did you wake up?”
“I don’t know.” Josh rummages through one of the cargo containers in their tent and pulls on a t-shirt. “Earlier than you.”
“What’s got your panties in a wad, dude? Serious-“ Tyler cuts himself off once his eyes adjust and he sees Josh’s back. “Did you go outside like that? No way. Holy shit.”
“Well, it’s fucking nice outside,” Josh huffs, “so I thought I’d spend the day without a shirt on, because maybe I also wanted to tan a little bit-“
“Pfft. Dumb,” Tyler says under his breath.
“-but unfortunately you and your-STUPID paint left enough marks on me so now everyone knows we’re together.”
Tyler stares at him. “Did they not already?”
“Of course they did,” Josh snaps, “but I didn’t want to hard launch it by walking around with your fucking handprints all over my back. Now they’re gonna think we’re freaks.”
Tyler stretches, then lays back down, covering himself with blankets. “Well. We are,” he says, voice muffled. “Don’t stress about it. Come snuggle me, actually. I’m cold. Just don’t get any ideas, you dirty freak.”
“I hate you.” Josh stands there for a minute before flopping down onto their makeshift bed.
“Mm. Yeah,” Tyler hums, burrowing into his chest. “My bad. I’ll wash it off later. We’ll laugh about this in a few years. Really. It’s fine, dude.”
Josh frowns, eyes closing. “Yeah. Whatever.”
Yeah…whatever.
