Chapter Text
Dee, Robyn and Vi return from the Christmas party at Mel’s bar.
“That was fun.” Dee says taking off her heels.
“Yeah it was. By the way, you might want to be careful about just kissing your boyfriend like that. Suppose your dad was there.” Robyn comments.
“That would have ended the festivities real quick.” Vi remarks.
“I guess I got caught up in the good vibes.” Delilah protests.
“Yeah sure.” Robyn says.
“I’m gonna get ready for bed.” Delilah announces.
“Good idea.” Robyn says as Delilah hugs both her and Vi and makes her way upstairs.
“Speaking of her father, I heard bits and pieces of your conversation.” Vi comments as her and Robyn make their way to the kitchen. She grabs two glasses and pours water into them.
“But you want to have the blanks filled in.” Robyn deduces as she takes one of the glasses and takes a sip.
“I would actually.” Vi replies.
“I told Miles that we shouldn’t go down that road again.” Robyn says starting off her explanation.
“And what did he say?” Vi asks.
“He said he will wait until I could feel what he’s feeling.” Robyn answers.
“So you got two men fighting for you?” Vi responds.
Robyn nods.
Vi shakes her head. "Oh boy."
“How did i end up here ? The man I want, I can’t be with. And the man which it took a while to get over is now persistent on getting me back.” Robyn remarks.
“And they are both adamant on wanting to be with you. So what's your next move ?” Vi says.
Robyn reflects on what Vi says as her aunt gets up and gives her a hug before retreating to her room. Robyn cleans the glasses they drank out of and heads upstairs.
As she is getting ready for bed, her phone rings. She smiles when she sees it’s from Marcus.
“You calling me at this hour why?” Robyn playfully asks causing Marcus to chuckle.
“Just checking up on you. By the way you looked very nice tonight.” Marcus answers.
“Thank you and so did you. And I’m okay thanks. What about you, how’s your arm?” Robyn replies.
“A bit sore, but it will heal. Not gonna lie I forgot about it until you said something." Marcus answers.
“Wow you had that much fun at the party huh.” Robyn quips.
“Guess you can say that.” Marcus says with a laugh.
Robyn smiles hearing Marcus's laugh. She gets caught up thinking about his smile when she remembers they are still on the phone.
After a second of silence Robyn starts to talk. “Well, I better get some sleep. But I’ve been thinking and I’m gonna text you something.”
“What’s that?” Marcus asks.
“My address. It’s about time you swing by my neck of the woods at some point.” Robyn answers.
“I don’t see anything wrong with that. Good night Robyn.” Marcus replies with a small chuckle.
“Good night Marcus.” Robyn says as she hangs up the phone with a smile. After texting Marcus her address, she continues to get ready for bed and hops under the covers a few minutes later.
