Chapter Text
Flames and smoke were everywhere as the sky turned black and grey. Buildings were collapsing as people ran, screaming for their lives. You sprinted the opposite way, moving towards the source.
“RUN, RUN FOR THE SHORE, GET AWAY FROM HIM!” You heard one person yell.
You ran faster, you needed to make it before-...-a nearby building.
“GYAHAHAHAHA! DON’T STOP UNTIL EVERYTHING IS GONE!” He howled maniacally, His men throwing more-…
…-knocking the two down, yelling. “STOP THIS MADNESS!” Your voice was hoarse, coughs racking your body. The smoke was getting to your lungs. It was hard to breathe, and the fire was only getting worse.
“Eh..? You showed up again, huh you little pest?” He turned, grinning with malice in His eyes.
With a flick of His hand, tendrils of lights shot forward, wrapping around your limbs. You inhaled sharply, straining against the force.
‘What is this? He’s stronger than last time.. I didn’t have time to react!’
You glared at Him, moving your-…-surrounding you. You grabbed your-…-one hit, the man falling over. You turned sharply, hitting the next one and-…-moving away. Suddenly He was in front of you, grasping your neck and lifting you off the ground. You gasped in shock, grabbing His hand roughly.
‘He moved so fast I didn’t even see it! Where did he learn all of these new things?!’
“You know, you’ve been quite the nuisance lately, haven’t you,-…-“ His hand tightened as you struggled for air. “While you’re no match for me, it would be a real help if you stopped interfering with my plan..” He grinned, moving His free hand up, outstretched. “Why don’t I show you my new little trick I learned, eh? I know you won’t mind your own business if I do the same as last time, so I’ve decided to take it into my own hands.”
You could hardly breathe, and no words would come out of your mouth as you opened your lips, desperately clawing at his fingers. His other hand pushed down and gripped on your forehead.
“GYAHAHAHA, I doubt you’ll live from this trick, but if you somehow survive..well let’s just say you won’t be bothering me anymore.” His hand dug into your scalp as He let go of your neck.
You fell to the ground on your knees, gasping for air. Barely a second after, a sharp pain pierced your head, before quickly becoming even more excruciating. You screamed, although your ears muffled it. Everything was muffled, actually. The sounds of the flames, His laugh as He moved His hand away, people screaming, your body thumping to the ground. Soon, blackness joined the muffled noises, your mind reeling in pain and confusion. You-…
…-gentle arms, setting you on the ground. Your brain was heavy, and your body wasn’t responding. You could hardly think, and your vision was blurry-…-black hair and caring eyes. She smiled, standing and walking away.
“Don’t worry, they’ll be here eventually.” Her voice was soft.
Your eyes closed as you blinked in the sudden brightness, unable to open them again. Your body was numb, and-…-
Flames and smoke were everywhere as the sky turned black and grey. Buildings were collapsing as people ran, screaming for their lives. You sprinted the opposite way, moving towards the source.
“Wake up.” You heard one person yell.
You ran-…What? You turned, the man who had been running now frozen in place, staring at you.
“Wake up.” He said, only his mouth moving.
Your surroundings were frozen as well, people’s faces locked in contorted fear, their bodies in the middle of moving. The flames had stopped in place, and a nearby building stuck halfway fallen over. You opened your mouth to speak, but suddenly your vision was whisked away into darkness.
