Toga gets Taken Retail Shopping

Summary:

With the League of Villains bar (along with the rest of the neighborhood) destroyed, they need to look for a new lair. They also need to make sure Toga doesn’t cause another incident no one else wants to talk about. Also, Spinner has do deal with his ex-girlfriend because things didn’t suck enough for him already.

I can’t believe I was commissioned to write this into a trilogy.
I can’t believe I’m writing this into a trilogy.
I can’t believe I’m writing this into a trilogy sober.

Notes:

I'm not sure if it counts as a commission if I'm not getting paid/gifted a game for it, (With how long I took, I feel better calling it a Christmas gift than asking for a game in payment for a commission.) but I'm not changing the summary. :P

Merry Christmas and... I'd say Happy New Year, but I'm not optimistic. Let's just hope the world doesn't burn. (Metaphorically for most places, literally for Australia.)

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Spinner finished the last bag of chips they’d scavenged from their current hideout and complained, “I don’t care where we go next as long as it isn’t another shack in the middle of nowhere.”

Twice offered, “We can stay in my apartment”

The apartment’s owner complained, “No way! Hands off my stuff!”

Magne pointed out, “The police are probably searching your place and your landlord won’t let you rent it again.”

Toga held up a poorly repaired, blood stained, fake wolf head. “There’s a hotel with a furry convention! We can make fursu-”

Shigiragi’s arm shot out and disintegrated the wolf head.

Toga teared up. “It was cute...”

Spinner asked, “Why didn’t you do that sooner?” It’d only been about a week since Toga got the wolf head, but it’d felt like ages.

Compress pondered Toga’s idea. “Somewhere in plain sight would be spectacular.”

Dabi added, “We could use a business as front to get more money.”

Spinner shook his head. “It sounds too risky. We should stay in the shadows.”

Magne suggested, “Why don’t we look for places and meet up back here when we’ve found places to check out?”

Shigiragi spoke up, “Fine, but let’s meet up at the next abandon shack I found.”

The next night Dabi presented a stack of legal papers, Magne had written draft for a hostile takeover plan, Compress flourished a map of an often overlooked part of the city, Spinner hadn’t brought anything because he didn’t need to for his suggestion, and Toga brought the dust that used to have her idea written before Shigaraki saw it. They were ready to go as soon as they ran out of supplies, which would be next morning at the latest. This shack was even worse than the last one.
