Payjanuary! (A month of Payjay fluff)

Summary:

I love payjay, a lot! Especially fluffy payjay! So, I decided I’d start writing a short Payjay drabble every day for a month and chuck it at the world, because why not?

Ignore the fact I didn’t begin this at the start of the month. I had this idea spontaneously and didn’t want to wait until February

EDIT: fic name has been changed slightly, previously just titled 'A month of Payjay fluff!'

Chapter 1: Hot Chocolate

Chapter Text

OJ found Paper curled up in their bed, a warm little smile on his face as he listened to the soothing sounds of raindrops colliding with the nearby window.

It’d been pouring down like this the entire day, and most would be relatively upset at the bad weather… but today, Paper didn’t really seem to mind it all that much. OJ had been trying to take more breaks recently, so once he realised it was a rainy day today, Paper had been promised cuddles. And he was certainly going to get those cuddles.

OJ watched his lover’s eyes light up in shock and adoration when he noticed the steaming mug OJ was holding, walking up to their bed with a proud little smirk on his face.

“Hot chocolate? For me? You didn’t!”

“I did. Come on, try it… you know I’ve only been getting better.”

He took the mug with steady hands, careful to not let any spill, as he brought it to his lips and took a sip.

“Mm… just as perfect as always. Your hot chocolate can’t be topped, JJ.”

“Yeah… I added an extra secret ingredient this time.”

He grabbed his cork from the nightstand, popping it in his glass and quietly slipping into the bed beside him. Paper tilted his head with an amused smirk.

“Oh yeah? What’s that?”

“Love~”

He leaned over to give his boyfriend a kiss on the cheek, earning a couple of those adorable giggles he couldn’t get enough of as Paper rolled his eyes, unable to fight the light blush that came over his cheeks.

“Oh, shut up, would you… you’re so corny…”

They spent the rest of that day in each other’s arms, the mug of hot chocolate completely forgotten on the nightstand beside them.
