Jermey was having a peculiar issue, no matter how much jerma tried to watch Ludwigs weight, he got fatter. Ludwig was a sweet tooth, always had candy in his pocket. About 6 months ago jeremy was told to make sure Ludwig was taking care of his teeth, flossing and all. Jermey tried, but he was a full time working single parent.
“Looks like he's gonna need braces.” The nice woman looked at jermey with sympathy “your insurance covers it.”
Jermey nodded, he knew it was for the best. He'd already given Ludwig all he's had, this was a drop in the bucket.
Ludwig sat in the passenger seat, kicking his feet and playing his 3ds.
Jermey pulled into the driveway, putting a hand on ludwigs thigh.
“Look lud, you're getting braces. This means no candy, apples, stuff like that.”
Ludwig whined “I don't want to get braces” jermey pet the boy's hair, ruffling it softly.
“I'll get you all the games you can imagine, just be a good boy.” Ludwig pouted but nodded anyway.
“That's my good boy. Dad loves you, you know that?”
“Yeah I know, I love you too dad.”
Ludwig was difficult through the process, unsurprisingly. He whined the whole time, but he still obliged, metal lacing his pearly whites.
“Ok buddy , what color do you want on your braces?” Ludwigs eyes glittered
“Can i have that blue and that blue”
Jermey tried not to laugh at his sons puffy, numb face. But Ludwig looked like a puppy who ate a bee.
Ludwig was sitting on the couch, jeremy rubbing his legs, chugging down a smoothie.
“I hate braces dad.” Jermey nodded reassuringly, rubbing ludwigs face.
“Dad i can't feel my face” jeremy felt like his heart was gonna explode.
“God lud, you're so cute.”
The dentist mentioned to keep an eye on ludwigs pain, he could give him painkillers if needed. So that night, jermey stayed up, keeping an ear out for lud
