Chapter Text
Six. Whole. Weeks.
Thats how long it took for Shinsou’s snakebite piercings to fully heal.
And sure, while Monoma’s fiancé looked fine as hell throughout the entire healing process, swollen lip or not, the fact that they couldn’t kiss the entire time the fact that Monoma couldn’t BE kissed the entire time made him want to rip his hair out.
It’s totally fine and normal to be frustrated that you can’t kiss for six weeks, obviously. He’s normal.
He’s also on his way home from work, thankfully the bustle of the streets helps him forget about how today was the exact (and trust him he counted) day Shinsou would be able to use his lips again… specifically in the kissing aspect of course.
Now, he got off before Shinsou did. They both went in at about the same time but since Monoma was still just a sidekick, his patrols weren’t quite as long as the people who ran the agency he worked under. His dream was to become the leader of his own agency but that takes time so for now he was content with his job… and especially with the pay.
Since him and Shinsou got engaged right out of high school they were quick about moving into an apartment. A fairly decent deal with an apartment that only really had pipe issues sometimes… they cleaned it up and furnished it and now it was something they enjoyed to call home.
Plus it was kinda sweet how Aizawa and Yamada helped them- gifting them a loveseat and tv and then taking them out thrifting for furniture which furnished the majority of their house.
Finally, Monoma unlocked the door, pushing it open and slipping off his shoes to put in the little rack they keep by the door. He slips on his house slippers before stepping forward to set his keys on the kitchen island.
Now all he has to do is wait for Shinsou to get home from his job. Shinsou had been hired at the school to help train future heroes in a more physical aspect. After an hour or so of entertaining himself with the tv, their cat (named princess by Eri) dozing on the couch next to him, the doors lock finally began to make noise of Shinsou unlocking it.
Monoma swiftly mutes the tv before rushing over to the door to open it before Shinsou even gets a chance to pull his key out.
“Oh, hi.” Always a man of few words… though he had began to open up a bit since they began to live alone. Monoma’s late weekend nights of singing musical songs while they watched them might have a little bit to do with it.
“Hi.” Monoma said, grabbing Shinsou’s hand the second he takes the key out of the handle and tugs him further inside so he could close the door. Monoma was a man of action.
Hands going to Shinsou’s cheeks while his thumbs ever so gently trace over the jewelry in Shinsou’s lip, “These look nice, healed even.” He said with a soft grin on his face, “It’s been six weeks.”
“Oh… So thats why I got such a warm welcome?” Shinsou asked, pocketing his key before his hands find their place right onto the blondes hips.
“I always give you a warm welcome.” Monoma huffed, trailing his hands up to wrap around the other’s neck, pressing their chests closely together.
“Maybe not /this/ warm.” Shinsou snickered.
“Hitoshi… dumbass… I want you to kiss me.”
“Oh. Alright.”
His man is a little stupid at times.
Either way he got what he wanted. Shinsou dipping down to press a warm kiss to his lips, the stark contrast of the cold metal against his lips and Shinsou’s lips made a shiver run along his neck.
It was definitely a sensation he could get used to at least. It didn’t take long for Shinsou’s hands to trail underneath the blondes thighs to lift him up- taking a few quick steps forward to set Monoma down onto the island-
“Oh!” Monoma squeaked, tilting a bit as a hand moves down to grab the keys he was sat on. A soft giggle leaving his throat before he was bombarded with lips back on his.
He ruined the kiss for a moment with a smile before leaning into the others warmth, suddenly curious.
Monoma moved to bite Shinsou’s bottom lip, being careful of being too harsh on the still relatively new piercings. A bit of a startled breath comes from Shinsou but he doesn’t move to pull away so Monoma slowly trails his lips to kiss around the piercings specifically.
His mind wandering, like it so often does, and all he can think of is how the cold metal would feel everywhere Shinsou could kiss. Maybe… the six weeks was totally worth it.
“These piercings are hot.” Monoma whispered against Shinsou’s cheek.
“Good, cause I was thinking of getting a tongue piercing.”
