Chapter Text
It was night as a bluish cat with folded ears walked throughout the snow, they're movements dulling and paws aching from the cold.
But eventually they found what they where looking for, a cave. As she made her way through the cave muffled voices could be heard, laughing and talking.
"Hello juniperear!" A brown tabby said smiling ear to ear. "Thought you wouldn't make it with all this snow" he continued
"Hah thought my paws would fall of because of the cold" Juniperear responded a warm smile now placed on their face
"I think we should quit the yapping and get to it, who knows how bad the snowstorm will be when we're finnished" a black shecat said cutting the conversation short
"You always say that Blackwing, any excuse to get back to your territory" the tabby responded playfully
Blackwing grumbled something Juniperear couldn't hear
"Wha speak up coward" The brown tabby said, still smiling
"I said SHUT IT OAKTUFT!" Blackwing yelled, her voice echoing in the cave.
"Wait" Juniperear said suddenly serious "Where is Frostnose"
The others now stopped their banter and looked around a bit confused, Frostnose lived the closest to the cave and always came first.
"I-i don't think we should worry about it" Oaktuft spoke softly. "He must've decided that the cold wasn't worth it today. I'm sure we will see him at the gathering"
Juniperear sighed "Let's just get this over with" she walked further into the cave revealing a crystal lit up from the moon.
As she laid down touching the crystal with her nose and drifted into a warm and comfortable sleep.
They opend their eyes, no longer in the cave but on a cliff overlooking the territories. It was beautiful but then, suddenly a dark spread through the territories weaving like a spiders web, screams could be heard. Eventually the darkness reached the cliff Juniperear was on, she couldn't do anything but look in horror at what once was.
But suddenly. The clouds parted and revealed the sun, the darkness that they hadn't noticed reach their paws was going away, retreating the same for the territories as she watched, no longer in horror but in amazment. She heard a voice.
"Darkness will plauge the land, destroy everything but fear not. As one cat with wings as bright as the sun will light up the darkness, and no longer will you live in fear"
The voice spoke with much urgency. But before they could ask anything, Juniperear woke up still in the cave, with the others waking drowsily.
"I think that mightve been the best sleep of my life" Oaktuft yawned, stretching.
"OH really,what happend that was so great" Blackwing said standing besides Juniperear.
"Well for starters mom came and showed me where to find loads of catmint, she also warned me of a coming sickness" he replied smiling "that way we aren't sent into panick when someone gets sick, especially with this weather!"
Blacking just sighed and started heading out of cave, Oaktuft following. But juniperear couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, as she followed the others out of the cave where snowstorm now had become a blizzard, it was hard to see anything.
"Hey guys, maybe we shouldn't split up and instead wait out the blizzard in the barn" Juniperear basically screamed
"Yeah sounds like a good idea I'm in" Oaktuft yelled back
"As much as I hate to agree with you... I agree let's go" Blackwing said as they made their way to the barn.
Eventually they all made it saftley to the barn relieved from the shelter and warmth. Even though they where all healers they made an effort to hunt and ate in silence, the blizzard still going outside. Juniperear made some temporary nests and drozed into a comfortable sleep
