Chapter Text

“Why do we only ever do pecks?” Sun asks suddenly. Ongsa freezes for a moment, caught off guard by the question. She isn’t sure if Sun is being serious or not, but the way her eyes glinted with genuine curiosity and a mix of teasing make her swallow audibly.

“I—uhm…” Ongsa stammers, struggling to find an answer. Sun’s teasing smile only makes her more flustered.

“Scared I’ll ruin your lips?” Sun teases lightly.

“H-Ha?” Ongsa blushes, feeling a sudden wave of embarrassment. “N-No! It’s just... Well, you know how my parents are. They want the door open when you're here…” She fidgets with the bedsheet, trying to explain.

Sun can’t help but grin, fully understanding what Ongsa means.

Ongsa’s parents are supportive, but they also want to make sure Sun and Ongsa don't move too fast. They know how teenagers can get, especially being new to some kinds of intimacy and all. Thus, the “keep your bedroom door open when your girlfriend is over” rule has been established.

“Well…” Sun exaggerately glances around Ongsa’s bedroom. “I don’t see any guardians tonight. No parents in sight…” Sun creeps her hand closer to Ongsa’s, making their pinkies meet. “And your sister, your cousin, and Latte are already in a deep sleep.”

Sun meets Onsga’s eyes again, making Ongsa’s blush deepen. There’s an unspoken understanding between them. They’re navigating uncharted territory, but neither wants to rush.

“Do... you want to? Right now?” Ongsa asks quietly, a little hesitant. While Sun is usually the one to tease Ongsa, this time she feels unsure, wanting to make sure she understands what Sun is hinting at.

Sun's heart pounds in her chest, her palms sweating slightly as she kneels beside Ongsa, facing her. Ongsa looks just as uncertain, her eyes flickering between Sun's lips and her gaze, her hands moving to rest nervously in her lap.

“Only if you want to,” Sun says gently. “We don’t have to do anything we’re both not ready for.”

Ongsa looks down for a moment. She takes a deep breath before glancing up at Sun. “I... I want to,” she admits shyly. “I mean, it's just kissing, right?”

“Of course,” Sun answers softly, brushing her thumb lightly over Ongsa’s hand. She senses the nerves still there. She knows Ongsa has never been this intimate with anyone before.

Heck, Ongsa only dated Ton for three days. Ongsa once clarified that the most intimate thing she and that man did was to look into each other’s eyes.

“If you're worried about it, don’t be. I’ve never made out with anyone before either. We can just explore—find out what feels good for both of us, and if anything gets uncomfortable, we stop. No pressure.” Sun assures her.

The space between them feels charged, like they’re waiting for some unspoken word that would make it real. Then, almost without thinking, Sun gently reaches out, her fingers brushing against Ongsa’s cheek. The touch is tender, soft, a grounding gesture before stepping into the unknown.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” Sun whispers, though she already knows the answer. It never hurts to double-check.

Ongsa swallows, nodding slowly. “I-I want to. We can take it slow, right?”

“Definitely,” Sun smiles, her thumb tracing the curve of Ongsa’s jaw. “If I… ever get carried away, just make me snap out of it.”

Ongsa lets out an amused laugh. “What, you have no self-control?”

Sun pouts, a teasing glint in her eyes. “I’m just too weak when it comes to you. You know that.”

Sun closes the gap between them slowly, hesitating just enough to let Ongsa pull away if she wants to. Then, their lips meet in a soft, lingering press. It’s gentle but uncertain, neither of them quite sure how to move just yet.

They stay still for about three seconds, just savoring each other’s warmth. It’s quite unfamiliar, yes, but not unwelcome—never unwelcome.

Ongsa barely has time to process it before Sun pulls back slightly, searching her face for any sign of discomfort. But instead of pulling away completely, Sun adjusts her position.

"Wait," Sun murmurs, shuffling a bit. Before Ongsa can even ask what she means, Sun swings a leg over to straddle Ongsa’s lap. The new position brings them impossibly close, their breaths mingling in the space between them.

Ongsa exhales shakily, her heart hammering. Sun is close. She’s so, so close. The warmth of her body, the scent of her perfume, the way her fingers ghost over Ongsa’s wrist—just… dizzying.

She wants more.

Ongsa leans in this time, their lips brushing again, tentative but deliberate. She lingers longer, pressing in a little more, testing the waters. Sun responds with a quiet sigh, her hand resting lightly against Ongsa’s jaw, her thumb brushing her cheek.

The second kiss feels different. It’s less like a question and more like an answer.

Sun tilts her head, deepening it just enough to coax Ongsa to relax, to follow her lead. It’s still shy, still careful, but there’s something undeniably new between them, something neither of them wants to rush but both want to explore.

When Sun finally pulls away, Ongsa’s lips part slightly, as if she’s about to chase after her. Sun chuckles softly, brushing a strand of hair from Ongsa’s face. “Okay?”

Ongsa nods quickly, breathless but certain. “Yeah.” Her eyes beg Sun to proceed. Ongsa’s glad that Sun is taking the lead despite being as inexperienced as she is. She trusts Sun so much.

Sun leans in again, the tip of her nose brushing against Ongsa’s as she looks for some kind of silent consent once more, asking if it’s really okay to take this next step.

Ongsa’s breath hitches, and she can’t help but nod, though her hands freeze at her sides, unsure of where to place them. Sun smiles softly, taking Ongsa’s hands in her own and guiding them to rest at her waist. Only when she feels Ongsa’s fingers tentatively settle there does she release them, her hands moving to cup Ongsa’s cheeks before closing the distance.

Her lips meet Ongsa’s again in a slow, tender kiss.

Sun pulls away just enough to make sure Ongsa’s comfortable before gently pulling at her bottom lip, sucking it softly. The sensation sends a flutter of heat to Ongsa’s chest, her heart picking up speed. She can’t help but feel the shyness creeping in, a blush warming her cheeks.

Sun deepens the kiss this time, just enough as her fingertips trace a slow, instinctive path down to Ongsa’s neck. This time, Ongsa responds more freely, matching Sun’s soft pull on her lips, albeit a little shyly.

Sun tilts her head slightly, her lips parting just enough for Ongsa to feel the warmth of her breath between them. Ongsa hesitates, but when Sun’s fingers trail along the nape of her neck, feather-light, she exhales softly and follows Sun’s lead, letting her lips part in return. Their kisses grow slower, deeper, but gentle and with a lingering pull, as if neither of them wants to let go just yet.

Ongsa grows more comfortable, following Sun’s movements without thinking anymore. Her fingers unconsciously tighten on Sun's waist, grounding herself in the feeling. Sun gently strokes her fingers along the back of Ongsa’s neck, keeping her close.

They take tiny pauses in-between liplocking, just long enough to hover, to feel the anticipation build before their lips meet again, as if they can’t help but return to each other. There's sweetness in the way they hold onto the moment, neither pushing for more but both fully present in what they’re sharing.

Sun pulls back slightly, her breath shaky. “So?” She breathes out, her eyes full of curiosity. “Is this how you imagined kissing me?”

Ongsa’s lips curl into a teasing smile, a spark of mischief in her eyes. She’s feeling bolder now, the thrill of making out with Sun electrifying her. “Actually… I was thinking of something else.”

Sun raises an eyebrow, her voice playful yet curious. “What is it?” she asks, leaning in just slightly. “I might make it come true.”

Ongsa’s gaze flickers to Sun’s lips before meeting her eyes again. “Wouldn’t you like to know?”

Before Sun can respond, Ongsa leans in once more, her lips capturing Sun’s in a slow kiss. This time, however, she glides the tip of her tongue lightly over Sun’s bottom lip. The movement is gentle, almost hesitant, as if testing the waters.

Sun’s breath catches at the unexpected sensation. She hadn’t expected Ongsa to be so daring, yet she welcomes it completely, her own tongue brushing against Ongsa’s lip in response. As she slowly parts her lips, she pushes herself impossibly closer to Ongsa, inviting the deeper connection. The heat between them intensifies as Ongsa’s tongue slips into her mouth, exploring the contours with a tenderness that makes Sun feel things she never has before.

But just as Sun begins to move her tongue to meet Ongsa’s, Ongsa pulls away, her lips just shy of meeting Sun’s again.

“Good?” Ongsa asks, breathless.

Sun’s heart races, the sudden distance making her feel a tinge of longing. She looks at Ongsa, caught between surprise and something deeper. “I didn’t know you had that in you…”

Ongsa, slightly flushed and a little breathless, offers a shy shrug, a playful glint in her eyes. “Guess I’m full of surprises.”

Sun laughs softly, her hands reaching out to draw Ongsa back to her. “It’s always the quiet ones,” she says with a grin, pulling Ongsa in again. This time, there’s no hesitation.

Sun’s mouth opens slightly as she welcomes the kiss, leaning into it with a newfound confidence. Their lips meet again, and this time, their tongues come together shyly, exploring but still quite unsure.

Sun sighs at the way Ongsa’s tongue traces hers, the soft tickle of it making her skin buzz. It’s new, this sensation, but it excites her. She nudges against Ongsa’s tongue, feeling a spark of competitive energy as if she’s daring for a little dominance, wanting to take control of the kiss.

Ongsa retreats her tongue without a fight, letting Sun have the space to lead. Sun smiles into the kiss, pleased with herself for pushing the boundaries and taking charge until, in one swift motion, Ongsa sucks gently on Sun’s tongue, a slow pull that sends a shock of pleasure straight to Sun’s core.

The unexpected sensation makes Sun moan, her body shuddering at the bold move. She almost pulls away, overwhelmed by the intensity of it, but before she can even think to break the kiss, Ongsa’s hand slides to the back of Sun’s head, gently guiding her back, keeping her in place.

“I’ve got you,” Ongsa murmurs, her voice low, a soft promise in the way she holds Sun's gaze. It’s not possessive, but more like a reassurance that they’re in this together.

Caught up in the moment, but not forcing anything.

Sun stays, letting herself feel the way their mouths lock together. Their kiss deepens, and every breath seems to sync between them. Her hands grip at Ongsa’s shoulders like a lifeline while Ongsa's fingers thread into her hair.

Everything just feels so hot, so good.

Without thinking, Sun's hips subtly rock forward, pressing her body into Ongsa’s. She moans at the tingly feeling, barely registering it at first. She’s lost in the sensation of their kiss and the closeness between them. It’s a new feeling, thrilling, and her body just reacts, pressing her center more insistently against Ongsa’s pelvis.

Ongsa, caught off guard by the movement, pulls back slightly, her hands still gently cupping Sun’s head. “S-Sun,” Ongsa's breath is shallow, heart racing as she tries to gather the courage to stop what had escalated between them.

Sun, her mind foggy with pleasure, doesn't immediately respond. Still lost in the heat, she leans in again before Ongsa could find her words, pulling her into a desperate, instinctive kiss. She presses a little more urgently against Ongsa, as if her body is making decisions without consulting her.

Ongsa’s hands shake as they hover between pushing Sun away and pulling her in. She can feel the heat between them, the way Sun’s body responds, and it makes her want to give in.

Her attraction for Sun is undeniable, but she knows this isn't the right time for them to venture into this territory.

With a small gasp, Ongsa gently but firmly pulls Sun away by her waist, their lips parting. “Stop, please.”

The sudden authority in Ongsa’s voice snaps Sun back into focus, and she freezes, her breath catching in her throat. The heat of her body mingles with the moment’s tension as she slowly pulls back, eyes wide, cheeks flushed.

Ongsa's heart pounds as she looks at Sun, unsure if her words will come out right. She caresses Sun's waist gently to comfort her.

“Sun, I... I know it feels good. I feel good, too. Really good. But we shouldn’t rush ourselves, okay?” Ongsa says softly, the words almost trembling in the quiet space between them.

The haze of passion starts to clear. Sun stares at Ongsa, her lips still tingling from the kiss, her body longing for more, but something in Ongsa’s expression made her stop. She swallows hard, realizing what had just happened.

“I-I’m sorry,” she says in a hushed tone, feeling embarrassed yet still on edge. She didn’t even know she could do that. “I got carried away.”

Ongsa gives a small smile, though it’s a little shaky. “I know. It’s okay,” she says, breathless but still holding onto her, her hands smoothing down Sun’s arms. “Just...not yet.”

Sun chuckles softly. She’s still a little embarrassed but also greatly relieved. She feels her pulse slowly steady.

“You’re the one who started this,” Sun playfully blames Ongsa, softly hitting her shoulder with a loosely clenched fist.

Ongsa lets out a laugh, her hands gently pulling Sun back in, this time with a gentler, more controlled kiss—a peck. “Next time, maybe we should go slower instead.”

Sun gently slumps into the crook of Ongsa’s neck, letting out a comfortable sigh. Ongsa’s hands slid up to cup Sun’s face, a gentle smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “I just want us both to be comfortable. We don’t need to rush. One step at a time, remember?”

Sun nods, her lips curving into a tired but content smile as she lets the moment settle around them. “One step at a time.”
