Work Text:
Izuku quietly ate the breakfast he just cooked for him and his family. He had unfortunately felt a bit uninspired lately. It was as if every day had been in a loop. Nothing was new or different these days.
He supposed he couldn’t complain too much, however, as he did have a lovely family. The family that was currently sitting at the table eating with him as well.
“Hey, dad? Can I go to the movies later?” Denki asked, taking a bite of his delicious bacon and letting out a burp.
“Haha, my bad!” Denki exclaimed with a laugh. Katsuki cringed at his youngest son’s messy table manners. “With who?” Katsuki asked, looking up from the morning newspaper he was reading. “With my friend Sero!” Denki answered happily. Katsuki lifted an eyebrow. “What time does it start and when does it end?” He asked.
“It starts at 8 and it ends at-”
“No.”
Denki frowned at his dad.
“Daaad, why not?!” He exclaimed, disappointed in the man’s answer. “You said it starts at 8, and your curfew is at 9, so clearly you won’t be home by 9 by the time it is finished. Not to mention, Sero is an omega too, so that’s definitely not happening.” Katsuki said, taking a sip of his black coffee.
Denki whined. “Dad, we are both 15! We can take care of ourselves! Sero is trained in martial arts, and I carry a taser and pepper spray!” He defended. Katsuki, however, was unbudging.
“Sorry, kid. Not this time.” He said, flipping the page of his newspaper. Denki sighed loudly, huffing as he took a bite of his eggs.
Katsuki and Izuku chatted casually for a short while before Ejiro perked up. “Dad, can I go to the skatepark with Mina later after school?” Ejiro asked. Katsuki nodded. “Yes, just remember to take your key and be back before 11:30.” He said, taking a bite of the fresh fruit salad he was eating.
“Awesome! I’ll catch a ride with her home.” Ejiro said. Denki threw his hands up exasperatedly. “That’s not fair!” Denki shouted. Izuku sighed softly, feeling a headache already beginning to form. Here came the same argument that they had been having for years now.
“Denki, we have been over this many times. Ejiro is older, and he’s an alpha. Your curfew is earlier because of protection reasons. I don’t want any alphas sniffing up on you or bothering you while you are alone and unable to defend yourself. You know alphas are stronger and tend to be more aggressive with their approaches.” Katsuki said, looking his youngest in the eye.
Denki frowned. “But dad, he gets to do way more things than I can by himself! It’s not fair!” He exclaimed. Katsuki sighed.
“That’s just life, son. I’m sorry. I’ll tell you what, how about we go and get some ice cream after school, huh?” Katsuki asked with a soft smirk. Denki’s eyes lit up and he smiled, nodding. “Okay!” He exclaimed.
That summed up their dynamic pretty well, honestly. Katsuki, like a lot of alpha parents, was more protective of his omega child than his alpha one. He worried for Denki’s safety due to him being physically weaker and more fragile than the average alpha, and this caused him to pamper and spoil him.
On one hand, Ejiro had more freedom than Denki, but on the other hand, he was pampered and spoiled a lot less than his omega brother. Denki was always showered with softer treatment, and treated almost as if he were a porcelain doll that needed to be saved and kept away from all danger or he’d break.
At least, that’s how Katsuki saw him. Izuku tended to nurture and spoil both of them often, but the firm discipline was usually handled by his husband, otherwise known as the ‘alpha of the household’.
Katsuki was the owner of his own manufacturing company, and he had a naturally stern demeanor to him. The moment he laid eyes on Izuku in high school, he knew that Izuku would be his omega. He was aggressive and intense with his words towards their classmates, but his actions were as gentle as a feather with Izuku. Sometimes he had a hard time expressing his feelings with pretty and romantic words, but he’d show Izuku how much he loved him through gifts, physical touch, and scents.
‘“T-thank you for helping me pick up my books.” Shy 15 year old Izuku told the tall blonde after he had accidentally ran into his chest in the hallway on the way to class. Katsuki, grumpy faced as always, scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah. Just…watch where you’re going, clumsy omega.” He said, though his tone lacked malice. Izuku noticed a soft blush on Katsuki’s cheeks, causing him to chuckle softly.
Katsuki growled, his face turning even redder. “What’s so fuckin’ funny?! Look, let me just carry these to your class for you, because you obviously are too much of a klutz to watch where you’re going. Tch…” Katsuki huffed, taking Izuku’s books back into his arms, as well as taking off his backpack and putting it onto his own shoulder. Izuku was then walked to class for the first time of many. Their relationship and love grew with them, and the rest was history.
“Make sure you eat at least the majority of your food, boys.” Izuku chided lightly. “Yes, papa!” Both exclaimed, continuing to enjoy the yummy meal. Once they had finished, Ejiro and Denki went upstairs to finish getting ready for school.
Izuku grabbed the dishes and put them in the sink. He put his apron on before beginning to wash them. This was their daily routine, of course. Sometimes he’d tell the boys to put their dishes in the sink themselves, but he got tired of their butterfingers accidentally setting them down too hard or dropping them. He supposed this was his duty as an omega, after all. At least, that’s what their society said.
He hummed absentmindedly as he cleaned, when he then felt a naughty hand on a certain part of his body. “Bakugo Katsuki!” Izuku exclaimed, turning around and playfully scolding the man, blushing bright red.
Katsuki held Izuku’s small waist, one hand resting on his ass as he leaned down and pressed a kiss to his husband’s neck. “Breakfast was delicious.” He told him in a low, quiet tone.
“Oh?” Izuku asked, smiling softly as Katsuki trailed multiple kisses up his neck and onto his freckled face. “Mmhm. Not as much as you, though.” Katsuki said, pressing his lips passionately to Izuku’s soft ones. Izuku giggled in the kiss, returning it and gently patting Katsuki’s chest. “Katsuki! Stooop, the kids might come in!” He laughed, playfully taking Katsuki’s hands.
Katsuki smirked, resting his forehead against Izuku’s. “Ah, fuck it. We’ll just send em’ away to Momo and Jirou’s.” He teased, hugging Izuku close to him.
Izuku melted against his hold, resting his head on his chest. “I wish you could stay home today.” He said with a frown. Katsuki placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, continuing to hug him. “I know, I know. I’ll be back soon before you know it.” He said, cupping Izuku’s cheek and placing another gentle kiss to his pretty lips.
Soon, the dishes were clean, and Katsuki was getting ready to leave for work. Izuku walked over and handed him his lunch that he had made him. “Thanks, babe.” Katsuki said, watching as Izuku neatly fixed his tie and brushed off his suit. “Now, go and be the best boss the world has ever seen!” Izuku exclaimed with a smile. Katsuki winked at him. “You’re damn right.”
They shared one more final kiss before Katsuki left. Not long after, Ejiro and Denki were coming downstairs, both racing each other. “Hey! No running!” Izuku exclaimed, hands on his hips as he fixed them both with a pointed look. They sheepishly slowed down, walking the rest of the way. “Sorry, papa.” They said together.
Izuku shook his head and grabbed the keys to his car. “You have your change of clothes and your phone charger?” Izuku double checked, knowing Ejiro would be hanging out with Mina at the skatepark after school.
“Yes, sir!” Ejiro exclaimed, showing him his drawstring bag. Izuku nodded before locking the door behind them.
When he arrived at their school, he waved them goodbye. “Have a great day at school, boys! I’ll see you later, and remember your dad is picking you up today, Denki. I love you!” He called. “Love you too, papa!” Denki exclaimed with a smile, running over to Sero and Iida, who were waiting for him to get out. Izuku waved at them as well.
“Bye dad, love ya!” Ejiro called, passing Shouto with a wink. The boy simply rolled his eyes and continued walking. Ejiro sighed, smiling dreamily. “He’s so cute!” He said to himself, joining his friend group.
Izuku drove back home, getting started on doing the laundry. Most of his day consisted of cooking, cleaning the house, and running errands. He did, however, have his own hobbies of course.
He listened to music, knitted, gardened, and enjoyed reading as well. He also enjoyed watching the news and law series’ on T.V. when he was folding the clothes or sweeping. As he did the laundry, he suddenly received a call from his good friend, Uraraka.
“Hello?”
“Hi, Izuku! It’s Uraraka! How are you?”
“Oh, hey Uraraka! I’m fine, how about you?”
“I’m well! Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to go shopping with Yuga and I today?”
“Oh, umm, well…”
Izuku was hesitant to say yes, because he knew he still had a lot of work to do around his house. Traditionally, it was the omega’s job to take care of the household duties while the alpha made the money. However, Izuku was sure he would get back in time to take care of everything.
Besides, Katsuki also said he’d be picking Denki up from school to get him ice cream, and Ejiro would be carpooling home with Mina since they both wanted to go to the skatepark later. There was plenty of time to have fun and go to the mall with his friends!
“Yes, I’ll go! I’ll meet you guys there!”
“Okay, awesome! I’ll text you the time we are going!”
“Alright, see you then!”
“Bye!”
Izuku hung up. He was going to do a few more of the ‘essential’ things around the house before getting ready. “Okay, I just have to make sure I get home before Katsuki so I can finish cleaning and cooking dinner!” He exclaimed happily to himself. Soon, he was in his car and on his way to the mall.
Once he arrived, he saw his friends and grinned. “Hey, Izuku!” Uraraka exclaimed, hugging the other omega. Izuku returned the hug. “Hi, Uraraka! How has Toga been?” He asked. Uraraka giggled.
“She’s great! We just had a movie watching marathon last night. It was so fun! We had popcorn and snacks and everything!” The short lady beamed.
Izuku chuckled fondly at his bubbly friend. “That sounds awesome! Hi, Yuga! How are you?” Izuku asked, hugging his other omega friend.
The blonde smiled. “Amazing, of course! Long time no see! How have the kids been?” He asked.
“Oh, great! Katsuki, too. I haven’t been to this mall in forever! Ever since back to school shopping for the kids this summer.” Izuku reminisced. They used to hang out at that mall all the time as teens, so it was a bit nostalgic for them to meet up there and just spend some time together. Omegas needed time to unwind and have fun too, of course.
The day had gone by rather quickly, as they were enjoying themselves and catching up.
They each had a few bags by the time they had made it to the food court. They chatted and laughed amongst themselves, Izuku long having turned his phone on silent so he could just live in the moment and focus on this.
Hours had gone by, and eventually Yuga had received a text from Neito, his boyfriend. He laughed, looking at the silly hamster video he had sent him.
“This is hilarious!” He turned the phone, showing his friends the video. Both Uraraka and Izuku laughed with him, but then Izuku caught a look at the time on Yuga’s phone. His eyes widened. Had it really been that long?!?!
“Oh, no! I need to get home! I still have things to do!” He exclaimed, standing to his feet. Uraraka and Yuga stood up as well, surprised at the sudden revelation. “Oh, okay! We will walk you out!” Uraraka said. Izuku shook his head quickly.
“No no, don’t worry about it. I’ll text you both later.” He gave them both a hug before grabbing his bags and running towards the mall entrance. “Get home safe! Send me the pictures we took on your phone, Yuga!” He called as he ran.
Once in the car, Izuku had driven straight home. By the time he had arrived, it was dark. He quickly excited the car, grabbing all of the shopping bags. When he opened the door, he was immediately met with the sight of a pacing, extremely worried Katsuki, and his wide eyed blonde son who was working on his homework.
“Holy shit…” Katsuki breathed out, immediately wrapping his arms around Izuku. Izuku lightly dropped his shopping bags, returning the hug. Katsuki hugged him tightly, his heart beating a mile a minute. He held him as if he would disappear into thin air.
“I’m sorry I’m late, Katsuki. I’ll put my bags away and get started on everything.” Izuku said, looking up at Katsuki. His husband, however, had other plans, as his face was now stern and serious.
“Denki, keep working on your homework, we will be back.” Katsuki said, his voice low and as calm as it possibly could be at that moment. Denki nodded. “Yes, sir.” He said. He could tell his dad was upset, and his papa would be getting an earful soon.
Katsuki grabbed all of Izuku’s bags, as well as his smaller hand, and swiftly led them upstairs. Izuku sighed as the door closed behind them.
“Katsuki, I can explain…” He trailed off sheepishly, playing with his hands. The alpha narrowed his eyes at him, arms crossed and showing off his muscular arms. Izuku gulped.
“Why the hell did you not pick up your phone once within the last eleven hours, Izuku?! Seriously, what the actual fuck were you doing that was so busy that you couldn’t answer your phone?!” Katsuki shouted. Izuku looked down at the floor guiltily. “I’m sorry, okay? I was at the mall with my friends, and time just got away from me, and…and I turned my notifications off.” He finished.
Katsuki shook his head, looking at his husband incredulously. “Are you kidding me right now? You were at the mall this entire time? That’s what was so important that you turned off your fucking notifications for hours?! Izuku, that was incredibly dangerous and careless! You had me thinking you had been omeganapped or in a bad accident, or worse!” He lectured. Izuku groaned, unable to hold it in this time.
“You know what, Katsuki? I’m not having this conversation with you. I’m a grown man, omega or not! You may be my alpha, but you are not the boss of me! You cannot just treat me as if I am some damsel that needs constant saving! I can make my own choices, and I can come and go as I darn please! I don’t need to answer to you!” Izuku yelled up at the taller man.
It was then silent. Izuku panted, catching his breath after his passionate rant. The silence was extremely loud, and it seemed to last forever.
Suddenly, Katsuki grabbed Izuku by the hand and swiftly led him over to their bed. He sat down and swiftly turned his omega over his lap. Izuku gasped, now looking down at their bedroom floor. He squeaked as he felt Katsuki tug down his pants and underwear, resting his hand on the small of his back.
“Katsuki! No! Don’t!” He exclaimed, kicking his legs. Katsuki ignored his husband’s pleas before lifting his palm and landing it across Izuku’s freckled, pale bottom with a swift smack!
Katsuki, like most traditional alphas, believed in disciplining his omega when he got out of hand or needed a lesson to be learned. As head of the house and as head of their relationship, he would carry the burden of punishing Izuku when necessary.
Spankings, timeouts, and even early bedtimes had been used throughout the years. He never went overboard, however. Katsuki was always careful with Izuku’s discipline, making sure it was memorable, but not too cruel.
Unfortunately, Izuku was going to be squirming in his seat for a little while. “Oww! Ouch! Oww oww oww! AH! Oww! Katsuki! OWW! It-ah! Hurts! Oww!” Izuku wailed, squirming.
Katsuki focused his swats in a pattern. Left, right, center, repeat. He used the hand resting to gently rub his omega’s back, instinctively scenting him with comforting scents. He could smell the distressed scent his poor omega was giving off. It made him feel awful, but he knew that this was what he needed to do to keep his husband in line. It was his place as an alpha, of course.
The spanking went on until Izuku’s bottom was a pretty shade of red, and Izuku was openly bawling over Katsuki’s knee. “I’m s-s-sorry! I’m sorry!” Izuku sobbed loudly. Katsuki flipped the man up onto his lap and gently rubbed his back, hugging him close and cooing sweet nothings into his ear.
“Shhh, it’s alright, baby. It’s okay. Just breathe, Izuku. Shhh, it’s okay…” Katsuki whispered, gently playing with Izuku’s hair. The tender aftercare and comforting scent was definitely effective in calming Izuku down.
Soon, his crying had died down to soft sniffles. Katsuki gently wiped Izuku’s eyes with his thumb, before pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
“I’m sorry I had to do that, but I was worried sick today, and you have to be able to reach, Izuku. If there is an emergency, or I need to check up on you to see if you are okay, you have to be able to know. Okay?” Katsuki said, gently stroking the green, fluffy hair. Izuku nodded. “Y-yes, Katsuki. I understand.” The omega said.
Katsuki held him like this for a while longer, both of them just enjoying the company of the other, before the blonde stood them both up on their feet, taking Izuku’s hand into his again and leading them downstairs.
“I picked up some dinner, yours is in the fridge too.” He said. Izuku sighed in relief. At least he didn’t have to cook. “Thanks, honey. I’ll get started on the rest of the cleaning after I eat.” He promised. Katsuki wrapped his arms around Izuku’s waist. “You will take care of it tomorrow. For tonight, you just relax, okay?” The alpha said.
Izuku blushed and smiled, nodding. “Yes sir, Mr. Katsuki.” He said in a flirty tone, kissing him on the lips passionately before pulling away and going to warm up his food. Katsuki was nearly weak in the knees at sudden deep kiss, blushing red now too. He cleared his throat, fixed his shirt and went to check on Denki and his homework.
Being an omega wasn’t easy, but he was happy that he was Katsuki’s omega. They each had their own role in the relationship, and their own place. This was his place.
