A journal filled with unsent letters

Summary:

Ingomor had been tasked to clean out one of the old bunk rooms in HQ as punishment for breaking an expensive figurine that was valued by Mafioso.

Begrudgingly, the german rookie did his task as told.

However as he moved the mattress at the corner of the room, a journal fell out along with a number of unopened letters.

Curious, Ingomor dropped his task, curiosity clinging to his veins as he sat on the fallen mattress and picked up the journal and letters.

"Weird.." Ingomor muttered, opening a page to find a flower bookmark. "Sunflower?"

Notes:

Opening the journal, he read;
"Although my voice cannot speak what my mind screams, I hope these letters can keep me from ruining something that filled your life with joy and meaning."

Chapter 1: A dusty letter

Chapter Text

October 25, 19XX.

I thought you were content with your life; climbing to the top of the gruntz, earning the prestige to be honored as the current boss, and have so much more control than what I have.

I thought you were happy with it;

Satisfied with me being by your side, your best friend and confidant.

I thought we were enough.

But, that was just a thought.

Ever since that woman came and fell upon your path— you changed. It made me think that she did something to you to make you like this; distracted, more idiotic, and irritating.

You used to be more calm, a bit cheeky but not this irritable.

You were always dazed, fixated between glancing at work and the clock that hung by the wall over my head.

Pass me, not even a glimpse.

She was changing you, and it made me unsettled.

But... It was only a temporary thing, you'd come back bouncing to your old self anyways; you always did, and I believed in that.

I'm confident that whatever happens, you'll come back to your senses.
