Shark Bait

Summary:

Levantar Cove has been the center of many disappearances, there are rumors of a man eater in the waters. But desperate times call for desperate measures. Lucky for Minho the local legend doesn't seem interested in eating him, it may be looking for something else.

Notes:

So this is a supremely unserious fic, but man is Lee Know going through it in this fic! Also I am starting to notice a pattern that I just love Minho falling into the clutches of cyrptid Bang Chan

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Minho knew better than to hang out at Levanter Cove, but desperate times called for desperate measures. People who went to Levanter Cove didn’t typically make it out. Urban legend said there was something in the water that had developed a taste for human flesh. Over the last forty years Levanter Cove had been the center of a number of disappearances. It had gotten to a sort of national notoriety that had both true crime podcasters and cryptid hunters flocking to the town to solve the mystery of Levanter Cove. Many of the more foolish ones didn’t make it back out.

Personally Minho thought the urban legend that something in the water was drowning and eating people was grossly over blown. It was probably just townspeople bored of their own lives making shit up to entertain themselves. In Minho’s opinion people probably kept going missing in the cover because the water had an 80 foot drop off, if someone drowned there was no recovery of the body.

So it was probably a combination of people being idiotic around deep water and gang activity. If Minho was going to dump a body, Levanter Cove is where he would go. There was a large city not too far from their town and Minho would put money on some poor murder victims were being dumped here since it was incredibly difficult to do search and rescue.

Still there were some good things about Levanter Cove. It was the home to a unique strain of sea lavender that had amazing medical qualities. Rumor had it that back in the 80s pharmaceutical companies would send employees by the truck full to try and harvest the flower, but the longer they stayed the more employees went missing until one day they stopped sending people at all. The risk finally out weighed the reward.

And here was Minho at the edge of the water, not even knowing how to swim.

Although it wasn’t the dumping of a body that had Minho in a life jacket at the edge of the water. No, it was his parents succumbing to an illness going around the town. A mysterious illness has ravaged their town. At first his family had managed to avoid it but then his dad had come home with a cough. It had quickly spread to his mother. Luckily Minho had yet to get it.

Doctors had been optimistic at first about their prospects of recovery but the longer they were sick the more Minhoc could see the doctors giving up on his parents. With the illness sweeping the town, Minho couldn’t fully blame them for focusing on people who seemed more likely to make a recovery. That didn’t mean he was just going to stand by and let them succumb to the illness. Other than his cats, his parents were the only thing Minho had and he wasn’t going to let an urban legend stop him from getting a potential cure to save them. At this point he was desperate enough to try anything

It was eerie being in the cove. The other beaches around the town were always packed with townspeople and tourists, at least it was before the illness had swept through the town. The cove was much more isolated, it was far off from the main road. Minho had to hike quite a bit to even get there. If he were to fall in and drown, Minho didn’t even know how long it would take someone to notice he was missing. His parents were so far gone with illness to notice him missing. Most of the time they didn’t even recognize him when he was tending to them. So Minho had borrowed a life jacket to at least try and stay safer.

Even though he was alone in the cove, Minho couldn’t help but feel like someone was watching him. He would be at work harvesting the flowers, and feel a prickle along the back of his neck as if someone was staring at him. He looked around but didn’t see anyone. He thought he saw the tail of something in the water but that was probably just a fish. He did his best to ignore the feeling and focus on his task.

Minho was grateful he had spent so much time with his grandmother before she died. She had taught him how to identify the coastal plants and how to process them for medicine. Back when she was young Levanter Cove had been safe, but at some point it became too dangerous to scavenge for medicinal plants.

Minho’s plan was to get in and out as quickly as possible. He came in the middle of the day so the sun was bright and it felt relatively ok.

Suddenly a big black SUV came rumbling up. There wasn't a road near the cove so they had to be dedicated to drive all the way down to the shoreline. Suspicious Minho ducked behind some rocks to stay out of view. While he wasn’t doing anything wrong by being at the cove he had a bad feeling about the car.

He heard the car doors slam and something heavy drop to the ground. Not able to help his curiosity Minho carefully looked around the rock to see two men picking up what was clearly a dead body off the ground. Minho felt like the world had dropped out from under him. His muscles locked up in fear.

Minho’s heart pounded in his chest as he watched the men carry the body down the decrepit dock. With no fanfare they tossed the body in. It floated for a second before it looked like something pulled it down.Minho thought he saw the flip of a long shiny black tail in the water, and long claws.

Minho watched in horror as the body disappeared and blood started to spread in the water. Before he could look away he could see chunks of flesh floating. Minho couldn’t stop himself from throwing up at the sight. The two men who had thrown the body into the water were standing there watching the body get ripped to shreds, so he was forced to try and vomit as quietly as possible.

The urban legend was true, there really was something in the water eating people. Minho stayed behind the rocks trembling, hoping the men would leave faster so he could get out of there. He clutched his satchell to his chest, this would be worth it he could just make it back home to help his parents.

Even after Minho heard the car drive away, Minho was locked into place watching the little bits of flesh that used to be a person floating in the water. He didn’t know how long he sat there crouched behind that rock, but it must have been a while because the sun started to set. That got Minho moving, as he really did not want to be there after dark. If those men were willing to dispose of a body in broad daylight, Minho did not want to know what went on at night.

Minho was scrambling up the rocks to get away from the shore line when he felt something wet grasp his leg and pull hard enough to send him tumbling to the ground. He looked down at what had grabbed his leg and screamed.

A clawed hand was wrapped so tightly around Minho’s ankle he knew it was going to bruise. The hand had black metallic scales along the back of the hand, up the forearm. Fear and disbelief clouded Minho’s brain because he would swear that the thing grabbing him was a merman.

The merman was stunning in its inhumanness. He was broad shouldered, with a slim waist and a six pack most men would kill for. He had the same metallic black scales along the tops of his shoulders, up his neck to his ears which were gorgeous black fins, they had an almost elf like quality to them. On his neck Minho could see slits that must be gils. The man’s face was perfect though. He had a strong jawline and prominent nose. His eyes were entirely black, giving a slightly demonic look. His mouth was bared showing sharp teeth, as if a human had shark teeth. It was clear this creature was a carnivore, he still had blood smeared on the corner of his mouth up his cheek.

With another tug on Minho’s ankle kicked started his survival instincts ,making him kick at the merman, but his vice grip on Minho’s ankle didn’t loosen, in fact the merman started to pull Minho into the water. Minho clawed at the rocks trying to resist getting pulled in but they were too slippery.

Minho started crying in earnest now. All he wanted to do was save his parents and how he was going to be eaten alive by the monster of Levanter Cove. His parents would never know what happened to their son. He hoped someone would take care of his cats.

He was dragged into the water, kicking and screaming. His satchell got snagged on a rock holding him in place, the merman hissed in displeasure as he tugged at Minho’s leg. With single swift motion the merman cut the bag’s strap with his incredibly sharp claws. Minho shivered at the thought of the claws ripping him apart.

Minho managed to get a gulp of air before the merman successfully dragged him underwater. The creature must want to play with him because he felt the grip on his foot release, and the life jacket he was wearing floated him back to the surface. He barely got a breath in before he was dragged back down, only to be released again. The constant shifting made Minho’s head spin as he didn’t know which gulp of air would be his last.

Eventually the merman seemed to grow bored of the game because he used his claws to slice the life jacket off of Minho.Without the life jacket Minho was left to flounder as he tried to stay a float. He really wished he had learned how to swim, although at this point even knowing how to swim wouldn’t save it. It might even be better to let himself drown before the merman could start eating him.

As Minho sank, the merman's tail coiled around Minho’s legs pinning them together, now the only thing keeping Minho afloat was the merman himself. The merman’s inhuman face pressed close to Minho’s. Minho opened his mouth to try to do something, to bite or fight, or he didn’t know what, but instead of biting his face off the merman pressed his lips to Minho’s open mouth.

Before he could process what was happening a long tongue slid into Minho’s mouth.Thats when the taste of human offal hit him, overwhelming him. The next moment his brain caught and he realized that they were kissing! He was kissing a man eating merman.

He felt clawed hands on his neck and worried that the merman was going to snap his neck, but he actually just tenderly stroked where gills would have been if he had any. Minho felt the burn of lack of air and just when it became overwhelming, the merman propelled them to the surface. As soon as they broke the surface Minho gasped for air before puking. The taste of puke, preferable to the merman’s tongue.

The merman still had Minho wrapped in his tail around Minho, not allowing him to get away. The merman himself looked concerned at Minho puking, letting out a kind of chittering sound, almost like he was trying to comfort Minho. He wrapped his arms around Minho pressing him to the merman’s chest. Minho could feel all those strong muscles. The merman’s skin was hot to the touch, Minho could feel the heat radiating off of it. It felt oddly good, if he wasn’t so scared for his life he could probably melt into the hug.

At this point Minho was so confused he didn’t know what was happening. The merman started kissing him again and Minho gagged into his mouth, but that didn’t seem to bother the merman at all as he just shoved his long tongue into Minho’s mouth. Minho hoped those sharp teeth didn’t nick him, worried that if he bled it would trigger the merman to a feeding frenzy.

As the merman continued to kiss him, Minho felt something slimy wriggle between them around their hips. When the merman released Minho’s mouth so he could breath, Minho chanced a look down and saw what looked like a tentacle protruding from the merman’s hips. Logically Minho knew it had to be the merman’s penis, but it sure didn’t look like any penis Minho had seen before.

It was protruding from a slit at where the merman’s hips would be if he were human. It was human-toned skin which gave it an uncanny look. It was long and tapered to a point at the tip. It seemed like it could curl like a younger or tentacle. The merman seemed to be able to have the ability to really control it.

The cock seemed to be acutely interested in Minho, who had expected it to be cold from the sea water, but just like the merman it was exceptionally warm. It was also huge, probably as long as Minho’s forearm. The prehensile cock seemed to have dexterity unimaginable because it suddenly started to undo Minho’s pants.

A delirious part of Mingo wondered if it was mermaid mating season and since there didn’t seem to be any other merpeople in the cover Minho was the stand in. If it kept him alive Minho would go with it. He had always considered himself kind of kinky, and who hadn’t thought about fucking a tentacle before?

The Merman seemed to sense that Minho was now on board, because he turned Minho around, pulling Minho’s back flush with the merman’s chest. He could feel the merman’s cock nudging at his hole. That was where he started to struggle again, there was no way that thing was going to fit inside of him without prep.

That’s when he felt a slime like substance coming out of the merman’s cock, right up against his hole. As the slime was rubbed in by the cock, his hole relaxed and then went numb. This whole thing kept getting stranger and stranger to Minho. This was not how he saw his day going when he woke up this morning.

The tip of the merman’s cock started to press against Minho’s hole. The numbing slime must have done its job because there was no resistance as it slipped into him. Minho kind of expected the merman to just slam into him and start rutting like an animal, but the merman was antagonizing slow as he pushed further into Minho.

His cock was still releasing the slime, numbing Minho so he couldn’t feel any pain, just pleasure as the cock filled him. When it reached the point where Minho knew he couldn’t take any more he started to babble at the merman, telling him it was enough, no more.

The merman started cooing at him in almost a comforting way. Minho relaxed back into the merman’s chest, enjoying the back hug more and more. Then he felt the cock in him start to coil, allowing even more to slip in. After what felt like forever, it seemed the merman was fully seated in him.

The merman stilled for a moment, letting Minho catch his breath and every breath was sweet considering he thought he was going to be drowned moments ago. Then without warning the merman pulled away, uncoiling his cock and then slamming back in. Minho screamed at the sensation.

The merman continued to pound into him, his cock so long that it never fully uncoiled, leaving Minho feeling overstuffed and over-stimulated. Even in the freezing sea water, Minho’s cock was hard as rocks and desperate for friction. When he moved his hand down to fist his own dick, the merman slapped his hand away, taking Minho’s cock in his hand, careful to keep the claws clear.

Between the dick in his ass and hand pumping his cock Minho knew he wasn’t going to last long. At this point if the merman was going to eat him, he at least hoped he got to cum first. He could hear the merman huffing behind him, breath hot on the back of his neck. Minho reached back trying to find something to hold onto.

He ended up grasping at the merman’s gills. The slits were warm and wet, Minho couldn’t help but stick his fingers in. At that the merman started moving faster, erratic. Minho snorted wondering if the merman was into being choked. He kept messing with the merman’s gills until he felt the merman’s stomach muscles tense then felt the merman cum in him. The merman kept lazily thrusting through his orgasm, fist pumping Minho’s dick.

Minho felt himself close to the edge of an orgasm, but what pushed him over was the merman lighting biting his shoulder. The pain pushed Minho over the edge to the best orgasm of his life. As the waves of pleasure crashed over him, Minho went boneless against the merman’s chest.

They floated on the water like that for a while, with Minho laying on the merman's chest, cock up his ass, and the merman’s arms locking him in place. It reminded Minho of the otters that would hold hands to not float away from each other.

Minho wasn’t sure where they would go from there. He kind of assumed now that the merman has satisfied his mating drive he would eat him like a female prey mantis eats the male after mating. Although in this situation Minho was kind of the female so shouldn’t he get to eat the merman?

To Minho’s absolute surprise the merman floated them back to the shore, slowly moving them along with his tail. When they were close enough that Minho could stand in the shallows, the merman’s arms relaxed, letting Minho go.

Minho scrambled out of the water heaving. He barely managed to grab his satchell as he stumbled away from the shore. He wanted to keep running, get even further away from the water, but his legs felt like jelly forcing him to collapse, hopefully out of the grabbing distance of the merman.

The merman was floating lazily on his back in the water, watching Minho. He looked content.

“Chan,” the merman said in a grating, gravelly voice, pointing at himself. “Mate,” he said again, pointing at Minho.

Well that confirmed it, it was merman mating season.

When Minho was able to stand, ready to go home he realized he had a bit of a problem. He was no longer in possession of his pants. He would walk through town pantless if he had to, but he really did not want to get arrested for public indecency before getting his his parent’s their medicine,

While Minho was stealing himself for a half naked dash through down, his soggy pants were thrown to the shore. Shocked, Minho looked to the water and saw Chan grinning at him. So apparently the merman was more aware of humans than Minho thought.

“Thanks for protecting my modesty, I guess,” Minho said before pulling on the water logged pants.

“Mate come back later?” Chan asked. Minho looked at the merman in disbelief.

“Um sure, but I have to go get this medicine to my parents,” Minho said, feeling like he had to explain himself for some odd reason. Chan looked satisfied with his answer.

“Take care of parents, then come back to Chan,” the merman said before disappearing under the water.

Even though Minho couldn’t see Chan anymore he could still feel his eyes on him as he walked away from the cove. As soon as he was out of eyeline of the water he booked. He needed to get as far away from the water as possible.

Minho ran all the way home trying to not think about what had happened. When he got home his cats seemed to love the fishy smell clinging to him and would not leave him alone, but Minho wanted to get the flowers prepared as soon as possible to give to his parents. He spent the next few hours carefully following his grandmother’s recipe to process the flowers into medicine.

When it was finally ready Minho carefully got his parents to take the medicine. He continued giving them the medicine for the next couple of days when finally their fever broke. Minho cried in relief. With his parents in recovery Minho finally had the bandwidth to process what had happened.

There was a man eating merman in the cove, that some really shady people seemed to know about. And he had mated with that merman. And Chan was expecting him to return.

The question was did Minho want to return?

Notes:

I do have ideas to continue this (serial killer Minho to feed his mate 👀👀👀), if anyone is interested.
