Chapter Text

Minori was sitting with her friends at lunch time, they were enjoying their meals with laughter. As Minori was chatting, she couldn't help but steal a few glances at another group.

One of them was outstanding to her, his hair was shining as bright as the sun, his eyes were beautiful as the spring leaves. He was obviously very outstanding as she thought!

Aira Shiratori, that was his name. Him and Minori had a few encounters, she always found him interesting! The problem was she never found the courage to come up to him, she envied how cool he was since she saw him holding a limited edition Haruka Kiritani Merch!.. She never got her hands on it since it stocked out easily… How unlucky. Minori noticed Aira could be a big otaku fan too but she couldn't find a good place to ask him, they’re not in the same classes, and the fact that she can't find the right timing to ask him is draining her inside! So she can’t help but just look at him from afar.

Who knew she would be this interested in someone like this? I mean, it’s rare to see an idol otaku out in school. So she's probably excited that she finally found someone with the same feelings as her

With all of those thoughts coming in, Minori was practically zoning out. Her friend, Kohane, tapped on her shoulder.

“Minori-chan, are you doing okay?-” She asks with concern, still keeping her voice timid as usual.
“Uwah!?” Minori snaps back to reality and looks around

Oh, she really was zoning out.

“Ehehe..Sorry Kohane-chan! I was thinking of some stuff, you know? The amateur idol in me wants to uh.. You know! Plan out my new dancing routine, mhm. I have been messing up on this one part…” Minori tried to explain to her friends, she was lying. She felt bad, really, but there was no way out of this. How could she explain to her friends that she was technically planning out her ways of asking a boy who might be an idol otaku too!?

“Then, perhaps you might be interested in this?” A gentle male voice came from Minori’s back.

“Huh?-” Minori turns her back to see a tall blonde blue eyed boy. It was the prince of their school! Eichi Tenshouin. He was holding out invitation papers.

Minori grabbed one of them as her friend group also grabbed an invitation.

“A mask party?” One of Minoris friend: Anzu, asked while looking at the invitation.

The blonde boy smiled and nodded “Yes, I was thinking it would be fun to host a mask party as a reward for doing very well for our last semester. Everyone is invited!”

“I’ll check it out!” Minori smiles with enthusiasm. The blonde boy smiled back and continued giving the invitations to other tables.

“A mask party sounds very fun! Hehe, I can't wait.” Minori exclaims

“Yes, I'm looking forward to it. Can we all go together?” Kohane replied with a smile.

“Of course!” Minori and Anzu smile at kohane.

“Let's all go to the mall tomorrow afterschool and buy our dresses.” Anzu recommends. Minori and Kohane nod, it would've been best to get our dresses now, but Anzu probably knew they wouldn't have enough money.

After getting invited to a mask party, Minori definitely got excited! She never was this excited before, So Minori kept having these scenarios of what could happen at the mask party, what if she finds her prince charming? Nahhh, that’ll never happen lol. The thought of it makes her excited though, she can't help but wonder if going to that party could change something… Eek! Wait, she should be paying attention to class and not daydream! She could do that later..

Afterschool, Minori goes out of her classroom and makes her way home, but as she was about to go– it started raining. Sigh, what kind of luck is this? It's like everywhere she goes it's always a disaster! Standing under the waiting shed, she decided to wait for the rain to stop. But that’s when she notices A blonde boy comes up next to her and opens his umbrella. Minori thought it was lucky he bought an umbrella, unlike her she thought the weather was perfectly fine this morning… Expecting him to go, he surprisingly turned to her.

It’s….Aira Shiratori!!!!!! The guy she was glancing at in the cafeteria!!

Surprised, Minori hasn't seen his face up this close. She usually only looks at him from afar but his face looks even better when it's close.

“You..Don’t have an umbrella?” Aira asked, he seemed a bit shy. Minori nodded and tried to look away.

“Um…If it helps, you can… Join me. I noticed that our houses are close so it won't be a problem for me…” Aira offered Minori his umbrella. Minori looked at him, he looked so handsome.. His blonde hair is complimenting his skin, the pink tinted blush on his cheek makes his face look cute, and his worried emerald eyes try to look away but they wouldn't.

Minori blushed a bit, what was she thinking!? She nodded a bit.

“I..I don’t mind. I’ll join you.” Minori puts on a smile and joins him under the umbrella.

They started walking home as raindrops dropped on the ground, what in the shoujo scene is this!?..

Minori took a deep breath and took a glance at him. He looked shy, though he still offered to help, how sweet of him…

Minori finally got home and laid down on her couch yelling out a melancholic sigh. Why was she feeling SO down? That’s when the door opened, it was her big brother, Tomoya.

“Welcome back, Nii-san.” Minori looks at the door as Tomoya switches his shoes and hangs his bag, he realized Minori seems a bit down.

“Is there something wrong, Minori?” Tomoya notices the gloom in Minoris' face, usually she’d look excited.

He comes up to Minori and sits beside her, that's when Minori sat up and she looked at him

“I was looking for you back there, I was going to walk you home but then one of your friends told me you already walked.” Tomoya expresses his concern to Minori

“You don't look wet though. Did someone walk you home?” Tomoya does notice Minori doesn’t look that wet, only a bit..

“Well..There's this boy who walked me…” Minori tried to explain..

“But, I don’t know why I feel like this :’)” Minori smiled pathetically, she honestly didnt know why.

Tomoya then puts his hand on Minoris hand and looks at her

“Hey, don’t feel too overwhelmed about it. Where's the smiling girl I see all the time? Cheer up! You can bring an umbrella next time.” Tomoya comforted, his comforts made Minori smile. She really had a good big brother.

Minori hugs Tomoya with a smile.

“I can’t imagine what it would be like if I didn't have you here, Nii-san.”
Minori then pulls Tomoya back

“That’s what big brothers are for!”

There was a big pause…

“Sooo, who’s this ‘boy’?”

…..SERIOUSLY!? IS THAT THE FIRST THING YOU SAY AFTER CONSULTING YOUR SISTER!? Okay, sorry, back to narrating..

Minori’s face looked confused.

“Why’d you ask?...” She tilts her head.

“Why not? I can thank him later!” Tomoya insists.

“Oookay? His name is Aira Shiratori!” Minori hesitated, but she figured her brother would do just fine.
“Wait, Shiratori?” Tomoya is surprised.
“Yes! Shiratori-kun.” Minori nods, wondering why Tomoya is so surprised.

“That’s my friend! We ate lunch together today..” Tomoya explains his reasoning, he never knew Minori would know Aira!

“Y-Y-Y-YOU DID!?” Minori stammers in shock, how did she not notice that!? Wait, this is her chance to get to know Aira more..! A couple of questions won’t be bothered to be asked, right?

“Um… Nii-san, how did you two meet?” Minori asks.
“Hm? Oh, He’s a friend of Hajime’s..” Tomoya replies.
“Oh-”

“Are you close with him?” Minori asks one more question
“Eh? Uh, yeah!” Tomoya scratches the back of his head, why does his sister want to know so much about his friend???

That's when it struck him.

“No way…Minori…” Tomoya then looks at Minori seriously.

Minori tilts her head, what has gone in her brother's head??? She looks at him confusingly and says “what?”

Tomoya gathers all his courage to confront her, no way he didn’t realize this sooner! This definitely makes sense!

“YOU LIKE SHIRATORI???” He then looks at her waiting for her reply, Minori gets all confused and red

“EEEEH~!? NO!.. I MEAN, I- I DON'T THINK I DO? I-I BARELY INTERACTED WITH HIM!...” Minori puts her hands up to her chest, waving them around so Tomoya won’t get the wrong idea, did it look like she liked him? I mean.. Let’s think of the moments they had over together.

(D-did he get the wrong idea and thought I like Shiratori-kun?... What if other people think of that too!?) Minori thinks to herself, did she really do the right actions?..

(UWAH!! AND NOW REMEMBERING ALL OF THE STARES AND GLANCES I HAD OF HIM… PEOPLE WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE THE WRONG IDEA TOO!... JUST WHAT WAS I DOING!? I WAS COMING UP WITH A PLAN OF HOW TO INTERACT WITH HIM I MIGHT HAVE ALREADY STRAIGHT UP STARED AT HIM!.. WH-WHAT DOES HE THINK OF ME!?) Minori starts overthinking, as moments of her failed attempts flashes in her head. what on earth did she even do!?... Ohhh, how is she going to face him again after realizing it NOW!...

“Minori……” Tomoyas voice interrupts her thoughts, she snaps out of it and looks at him.

“Like him or not, I will always support you!!!..” Tomoya puts his hand on his chest to show support to his little sister, Minori was so touched by his corny gesture and smiled as her eyes started watering a bit.

“Nii-san!!..” She exclaims and hugs Tomoya. What sibling bonding they have, huh.

(TOMOYAS POV) | NIGHT TIME | AFTER DINNER

“Shiratori, eh?...” Tomoya looks up at the ceiling.

“Come to think of it, I think Shiratori has been mentioning about a girl in a few conversations…Could it be Minori?” Tomoya wonders.

LUNCH TIME | FLASHBACKS..

“And I was like: ‘No, Otori-san! Please don’t do that!...’ and she continued to fly out of a cannon for the sake of the cheerleading competition..” Hajime explains the shenanigans of a junior of his..

The table gets concerned but then laughs a bit, Airas laugh slowly faded away, he then glanced at a direction but quickly turned his way to the group.

“Hm? Shiratori-kun, is there something bothering you?” Hajime turns to Aira, worried.

“Hm? Oh, no– not really!..Ahaha..” Aira laughs awkwardly, everyone at the table looks at him and he sighs. He obviously can’t hide it, so he decides to be honest, he sits up straight and gathers his courage.

“Do you guys ever feel like you’re being admired by someone?” Aira asks his friends, with his perspective, his friends look at him confused, but then shrugged

“I mean, kind of? But hey! Shouldn’t it be a good thing? Someone finally admires you, for the better!” Tomoya tries to reply to Aira.

“Well..Yeah, but what if I did something wrong and that’s why they’re staring at me...” Aira whines, his friend Kohaku then pats his back

“Don’t sweat it, Love, maybe they’re lookin’ at ya for a good reason.” Kohaku comforts him, The guy sitting next to him–Toya, also joins in.

“You can try to approach them to ask for the reason why, Maybe that could clear up some misunderstandings.” Toya recommends.

“Hm..I guess you’re right, I’ll try.” Aira accepts Toyas recommendation nicely, it’s technically his business right? He could clear up some misunderstandings!

And for the past few days..Aira has been trying to reach the person but she always seems to be..busy, he couldn’t really know what she’s thinking most of the time so it kinda messes his brain.

Then a few weeks later... that’s when he saw her...Standing under the waiting shed, it looked like she was waiting for the rain to stop and did not carry an umbrella. Aira felt bad and then he went up to the waiting shed and opened his umbrella, he turned around and looked at Minori, this is actually the longest time he’s been looking at her face. He only got small glances from before but didn’t want to seem like a freak, looking at her now he starts to notice she’s actually kinda cute…”WAIT! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING AIRA!? No! You have to clear up the misunderstandings!..” Aira stops his mind from thinking but he couldn’t. He was way too distracted by the girl…

And there he lies on his bed. Flabbergasted by what he just witnessed. He talked to a GIRL. A GIRL. A GIRL!!!!!!!! DID HE EVEN DO WELL!?

Airas' thoughts seemed to be blocked by that girl, and he’s very frustrated. Why is he like this?

Chapter Text

THE NEXT DAY | School

Minori yawns as she sits down on her chair, even after getting enough sleep she still gets tired. But that won’t stop her from becoming an idol! She’s definitely not going to slack off and miss her practice on the rooftop! Yes that’s right, Minori practices by herself everyday to become an idol!

Minori gets excited and takes out her diary, she starts writing on how her day is going, considering she just yawned, it's like her energy just has been recharged from a simple thought! How useful !!

After writing a bit, she closed her diary and leaned back. Is Kohane-chan seriously not here yet? Minori starts to get worried and stands up from her chair.
Minori pops her head out of the classroom door and looks around, No sign of Kohane yet, just as she was going back- She saw Kohane! YAYYy!!! Minoris smile fades in as Kohane comes closer and closer, Minori starts waving

“Kohane-chan! Good morning!!” She smiles at Kohane, Kohane smiles too and waves at her.

“Good morning, Minori-chan!” Kohane finally comes near the door, and Minori lets Kohane pass by, as Kohane settles down her things Minori sits down on her chair and turn to Kohane.

“Why are you late, Kohane-chan? Well-you’re not really late, but! You usually come before me..” Minori asks Kohane, it is rare for her to be like this.

Kohane hangs her bag to the side of the table and sits down as she looks at Minori.

“Hehe, It was because my brother was kind of taking a bit long…” Kohane replies to Minoris' curiosity.

“Ohhh! Right, you have a brother.. What was his name again?” Minori puts her hand on her cheek, ready to have her talking session with Kohane of the day.

“Aira Shiratori! ^_^” Kohane responds happily, The moment Minori heard the name her eyes widened

“E-EEEHHHH~!?” Minori squeals out of shock, The whole class stared at Minori and she covered her Mouth and whispers “sorry!..”

(Aira Shiratori…………………IS KOHANE-CHAN'S BROTHER~!?) Minori squeals in her mind,
(how could this have happened!? HOW DID I NOT NOTICE!?) Minori keeps thinking. She snaps out of it and whispers to Kohane

“I didn’t know you guys were related!.. Isn’t your last name Azusawa!?..” Minori whispered.
“Well, yeah..But then his mom got married to my dad so…” Kohane explains that Aira is technically her step brother. Not biologically her brother.

Minori lets out an apology “ohhh..Got it, sorry, Kohane-chan!...” Kohane giggles, she then puts her hand on Minoris hand.

“It’s okay, Minori-chan!” Kohane smiles at Minori, that’s when she notices by the door. It was her brother, Aira! Kohane stands up and walks up to Aira.

“Aira?” Kohane tilts her head, wondering why Aira is visiting her.

“I came here to give you your bento..You forgot it–” Aira then hands out Kohanes bento. He looked around the classroom and then noticed Minori looking at him, they made eye contact but then he looked away forming a blush on his cheek. Kohane grabs her bento and thanks Aira, Aira nodded then walked away to his classroom.

Kohane then went back to her seat and put her bento away in her bag, she then looked at Minori and smiled.

“Minori-chan, do you know Aira by chance?” Kohane questions her.

“Oh!-- Yeah, I do! He actually helped me yesterday with….” Minori then began explaining her whole plan, how silly it was. She always told her best friend everything, as Minori explained Kohane got a bit surprised with Minori’s story but it made her giggle as she finished.

“Aira really is caring. Maybe I could ask him about you later..” Kohane smiles.

“You will? For me?” Minori gets excited, Kohane giggles a bit as she nods.

“Of course! That's what best friends do!” Kohane stated. Before they could continue chatting– the teacher walked in. Best they could stay silent for now, they shouldn’t continue chit chatting hehe…

Chapter Text

AFTER SCHOOL

“It’s finally time to buy our dresses for the party! Hehe.” Minori says excitedly as the three went out of the school gates.

“Yes, I’m looking forward to looking for clothes with you girls.” Anzu nodded with a smile.

“We should also get a mask too, right?” Kohane questions, it is a mask party. So why not? Anzu and Minori nodded and agreed.

Later on, the three arrived at the mall and began browsing. Hundreds of choices to look at they had their little fun time to look for which one to pick, but there was this one store where the three girls found something they might like.

The girls then wandered around the store, looking for dresses.

Minori then got something that caught her eyes– she found a beautiful dress. It had a white top that shines with a cute pattern that compliments the color, the length of the dress was long and satin, the dress was fitted at the waist, gradually widening towards the hem, and it was really worth a great price too! Has Kamisama finally given her enough luck to find a dress like this~!?

Minori then took it out of the hanger to take a full look, Anzu then approached her.
“Found something you like, Minori?” Anzu looks at Minori.

“Yes! I think I found a great dress– and It’s around my budget too! Hehe!” Minori smiles, Anzu looks at the dress and is amazed, it is beautiful!

“What a great find, Minori! I think I found something that is also suitable for me.” Anzu then shows Minori the black dress, the length was long, and the texture was silky, and had nice beading for the details. Minori was amazed at Anzu's choice.

“Woww! That really fits you, Anzu-senpai!” Minori exclaims.

“I wonder what Kohane-chan found!” Minori then looks around for Kohane, she’s excited to see what her best friend got. It must be beautiful as she is, that’s for sure!

Minori and Anzu then found Kohane, Kohane then turned around and saw Minoris and Anzu’s dresses.

“Wow..! Those dresses would fit you both so well..! “ Kohane said excitedly.

“Thank you, Kohane-chan! Did you find one? Minori thanks Kohane for her compliment.

“Yes!” Kohane nodded, she then took her dress. Her dress was colored red, the top was sleeveless, the length was long like Minori’s and Anzu’s dress, and there was draping added to the dress. This definitely matched Kohanes style! Lo~ve!

Anzu and Minori's eyes sparkled, this was a match for Kohane! They both nodded.

“That dress definitely matches you, Kohane-chan!! SO CUTE AND BEAUTIFUL!!” Minori exclaimed, Kohane giggled and so did Anzu.

The three then bought the dresses along with some matching masks they found earlier, they were definitely going to have fun at the party.
