“Hey, I’ve come here again!” Rei Sakuma said with a casual wave.
He was talking to the Five Eccentrics, of which he was the Fifth or First. Itsuki Shu, Kanata, Sakasaki Natsume, and Hibiki Wataru turned to look at him.
“Hey, Rei!” Hibiki Wataru called out cheerfully.
“Rei Big brother –“ Natsume Sakasaki stopped as he saw something he didn’t expect. “Who’s that?”
Following Rei was a tall blond boy with some muscles, dressed in Yumenosaki’s uniform.
“Hmm…” Wataru said, this wasn’t Oogami Koga who liked to follow Rei as his idol.
“Er…” Kanata said.
It was clear the intruder had intruded upon their personal circle. Rei had never brought anyone along with him before.
Sakuma Rei gave a casual laughter. Then he grabbed the blond boy’s hand and dragged him forward almost happily.
“Hey. Right, so this is my Boyfriend.” Rei Sakuma said as casually as he did everything else.
But everyone looked at their joined hands, then looked up at Rei.
“Sorry, did I hear wrong?” Itsuki Shu said. “Did you say he was your boyfriend? Surely not, right?”
“Huh? Well you heard right,” Rei said with a smile. He tugged the intruder’s hand again. “This is my Boyfriend. Boyfriend. Kareshi. I got him from somewhere…eh anyway, everyone say Hello to him!”
“…Rei nii-san.” Natsume finally said. “Are you Stressed? You could tell us your problems you know.”
“Why is he Mute?” Kanata asked innocently.
“Wow, What a Surprise?!” Hibiki Wataru said.
“Huh? No, no way,” Rei Waved his hands. “He’s really my boyfriend! Hey, I know this is sudden but I wouldn’t just pick up some random guy from somewhere to be my lover, okay? Hey…show some Respect…!”
No, No, No. Sakasaki Natsume shook his head. He was usually the one taken care of, but it seemed this time it wasn’t the case. No, that’s not the issue, Rei nii-san!
“What’s your Name?” Hibiki Wataru smiled sharply.
Not the issue at all, Natsume thought. How could they just let Rei hang out with a guy they didn’t even know existed before, and let Rei call him his boyfriend?
None of the Five Eccentrics really followed social rules, and there was an unspoken rule that they did not desire any romantic relationships, so what was with the most Eccentric of them introducing a random guy that looked like he could be picked off the street, as his boyfriend?
Did Rei nii-san lose a Dare? Natsume thought. He quickly shook his head. No no, it’s impossible to beat the unbeatable Sakuma Rei! Which means…he paled, that guy really is his boyfriend??!
“Hey, guys…” Rei said.
“Where the hell did you come from?” Itsuki Shu got over his surprise and asked. “I’ve never seen you before.”
“Hmm…” Kanata seemed lost in his thoughts. Then he smiled. “Rei-kun, if you want another member to join you could just say, you know.”
“Oh, who is he?” Hibiki Wataru smiled.
“Who the hell are you?” Sakasaki Natsume asked in surprise and panic.
“Hey…” Rei sighed and put a hand to his forehead.
“…You guys don’t believe me, do you?” He said with a smirk but slightly hurt. He looked to the blond. “But he really is my boyfriend, you know?”
Rei looked away. “So…” he began.
The blond chuckled. “Hey hey~nice to meet you all,” he said. “I’m Hakaze Kaoru. Sakuma Rei’s boyfriend. You can just call me Kaoru~since you’re so close to Rei-kun. This is real, okay? Great to meet you, the Five Eccentrics. I’m just a regular student at Yumenosaki, so it is truly a honor.”
“...Do you know who you’re dating?” Shu demanded. “He’s Sakuma Rei.”
Hakaze Kaoru. Sakuma Rei’s boyfriend. Those words went through their brains. Even Kanata couldn’t deny it anymore.
Who the hell was Hakaze Kaoru?
They would have accepted it more if Sakuma Rei suddenly one day dragged Tenshouin Eichi and said “hey, this is my boyfriend. We made up…” in his usual casual way, they’d be willing to forgive Eichi a little if that were the case.
But who the hell was Hakaze Kaoru?
“…I’ve never seen him before.” Kanata said.
“Rei nii-san.” Natsume seemed really stressed. “Where the hell did you pick this person up from? Can this guy even sing? Is he an idol?”
Rei was so charismatic, and Rei who was unaware of his true charisma, did not know the Five Eccentrics were extremely fond of him, Shu even designed specially Rei’s Five Eccentric outfit, him being the only one to have those frills and a special cap. Of course he was tsundere and said it was just individual difference. But he actually cared about the dark demon king a lot.
They also kind of knew Rei was out of touch with society, even more than Kanata who at least knew he was supposed to be a god…Rei kinda just did anything he wanted, and let people’s expectations direct his life, yet he was a demon king more benevolent than any human, as Wataru had said.
So for Rei to suddenly sing that he had gotten a boyfriend…so they were all on alert, even their junior Natsume.
Rei wasn’t stupid, he was highly intelligent. But still, he had weak spots and could have been charmed away somehow…
This was why they weren’t Welcoming to the guy at all.
Sakuma Rei. A name of a Superstar. Hakaze Kaoru. A name they had never heard before.
They were suspicious.
They had never seen Rei act this way before.
It could be said they were all quite possessive of Rei, he was their Eccentric, their Demon King, he belonged to them. Their group of unlikely but all cohesive friends.
Who the hell was this intruder?
“Did you meet somewhere else?” Natsume tried to make sense of the situation. “Like Shu nii-san said, do you know who you are dating? He’s Sakuma Rei!”
“Have you heard him sing before?” Shu asked. “Not even that?” He made his own conclusion.
“Rei …” Kanata said woefully “I don’t think this is a good idea…”
“Who is Hakaze Kaoru…?” Even Hibiki Wataru didn’t know.
Kaoru chuckled. He was acting very casual, which incited them even more. “I know who he is, Sakuma Rei,” his eyes softened, and hardened at the same time. “We met through certain circumstances. Since we met often, we grew closer for some reason. Eventually we realized our feelings for each other…” He spoke, like he was speaking of someone who was not Sakuma Rei.
“…I didn’t know there was a dating Ban in the Five Eccentrics?” Rei said confused, but sounded slightly hurt. “Hey, why can’t Sakuma Rei get a boyfriend huh? Is there some rule that says Sakuma Rei can’t get a boyfriend? And Kaoru-kun is quite handsome too, dazzling really, so what’s wrong?”
All Five Eccentrics stared at him. Rei said, “Hey, hey! Okay, do you know I’ve been Kaoru-kun’s fan for quite some time? Secretly, of course. Now he’s my boyfriend, so why aren’t I receiving congratulations, huh?!”
All Five – Four Eccentrics stared at him. Then they grabbed Rei and pulled him into a circle. Kaoru scratched his head, seemingly waiting patiently.
“Fan? You, Sakuma Rei?” Shu said incredulously.
“Fan?!” Natsume said.
“Rei-kun can be a fan?” Kanata smiled dazedly.
“Oh, my head hurts…” Wataru cried out.
“Wait, okay I never told any of you this before,” Rei acknowledged. He blushed slightly. “But now you know. There’s no rule that says Sakuma Rei can’t be a fan, right? There’s only the Superstar rule, last time the Student Council President rule, the rockstar Sakuma Rei rule, the helping everyone overseas Sakuma Rei…but there’s no rule that says Sakuma Rei can’t be a fan of someone. Hey, I’m human too you know…”
The Five Eccentrics felt sympathy for Rei, perhaps they were misunderstanding him wrong…but maybe also because he was just lonely? They remembered how Rei had held the other man’s hand and felt conflicted…wait this was the first time they saw Rei blush?
“Oh ok,” Wataru was the first to speak. Then he smiled conspicuously. “But he looks like a mutt dragged off from the street, his hair is so messy, not elegant at all! Also he has this look in his eyes…Rei-kun you haven’t done it have you?”
“W-What?” Rei was surprised and slightly embarrassed. “Of course not! Do I look like I’m interested in that sort of thing?”
“No no,” Hibiki Wataru was amused. “I didn’t mean that. I meant kissing. Have you kissed him yet, Rei?”
“Er…” Rei blushed again. “Well yes…”
Natsume turned his head to the side and groaned. “It’s too late…!” He said. “Rei is already taken in by the black magic of that guy!”
“Kaoru-kun doesn’t know magic though,” Rei said, “What are you saying, Natsume-kun? Hey actually, I expected you to react that way. But why is everyone else doing so as well?”
“Rei has never blushed before!’ Natsume continued begroaning. “Now he’s blushing for some unknown guy who shouldn’t even be wearing Yumenosaki’s uniform!”
“…You know…” Rei sighed. “Sakuma Rei can’t be embarrassed…? Just because you never saw it before, doesn’t mean it can’t happen you know…” he said somewhat mysteriously.
“Well there’s no dating Ban rule,” Wataru spread his arms with a smile. “But it’s still strange seeing Sakuma Rei calling a guy we’ve never seen before, his boyfriend you know?”
“Is he Safe?” Itsuki Shu sighed. “Sure he’s not from Tenshouin somehow? Since you’ve been defeated, you’ve let your guard down you know…”
“They’re both blond.” Kanata smiled. “I don’t think I’ve seen any other blonds…? Oh I guess Nazuna is one but you know…not feminine…”
“Are we really judging Kaoru-kun on his hair colour?!” Rei said exasperated, spreading out his hands. “And comparing him to Tenshouin of all people?!”
“Oh…Sorry…” Kanata said meekly. “…but it’s true…”
Rei was fed up. He went away from the Five Eccentrics to his Kaoru-kun and tugged on his hand harshly, drawing down the surprised Kaoru for a kiss on the cheek. Then he turned to the Five Eccentrics.
“Hey, Kaoru-kun really is my boyfriend, okay? I don’t think it’s any of your business, but I’m the more mellow one in the relationship. Kaoru-kun is the more aggressive one. Does that bother you even more? If he’s blond like Tenshouin, should I get him to dye his hair Brown? Huh?!”
It was clear that Rei had expectations of acceptance from the Five Eccentrics who had let him down, and the Five Eccentrics were beginning to feel guilty.
They just wanted to protect Rei from this strange man they had never seen before, but they had rejected Rei accidentally.
Kaoru used Rei’s hand to jerk him and kiss him on the lips. Rei gave a groan. Kaoru used his free hand to wrap around Rei’s waist and bring him closer. Rei didn’t resist.
When they parted, Rei looked guilty, and uncomfortable. Kaoru’s eyes narrowed. He let go of his arm around Rei’s waist.
“Hey,” he said, his voice lower and sharper. “What kind of Friends are you? He’s talked to me about you guys sometimes, but what is this reaction, huh? Do you really care for Rei? Why can’t Sakuma Rei have a boyfriend? To take care of him? Say it to my face, huh?”
“…Do you even know why we’re the Five Eccentrics?” Shu’s voice was tenser but calmer.
“I know. Tenshouin’s plot, right? I know you’re a close-knit group but Rei doesn’t belong to you. He belongs to himself. If you want to know, I was Manager at the underground live club Rei Sakuma is famous for, and I met him before you guys did. That time when Tenshouin was still innocent enough, I’ll proudly say I had connections with him then. I was a man who worked for myself. I never thought Sakuma Rei could be my boyfriend then or I would lose interest in girls, but things happened and this clingy guy never let go of me. Now that we’re finally together, over my stupidity, why are you guys, his precious Friends getting in the way?!”
“…interested in girls?” Kanata only comprehended parts. “Before we did?”
“…Rei is this true?” Shu asked. He knew, everyone knew about what Sakuma Rei had done at that underground live house with slackers, but no one talked about who Managed that place.
Wataru Hibiki had a serious face.
Natsume jumped on it. “You’re sure you lost interest in girls?”
Kaoru was exasperated and took out his phone. “Do I need to show you?” He said. “You didn’t know the me before but here, look at my phone. Only my family, and Rei is there. And some contacts for my own business.”
They looked, interested. There were no girl names there.
“I had more than 20 girls phone numbers.” Kaoru kept his phone roughly. He looked sharply. “All deleted, for Rei.”
“By the way,” he said. “Rei has an idea for a unit, and I’m going to be in it.”
“So,” Kaoru said authoritatively, which greatly contrasted his lackadaisical appearance the Five Eccentrics had underestimated.
“Can we Talk?”
Rei was…Sulking. Scowling. And feeling hurt. Didn’t they think Sakuma Rei Needed some care too? Why couldn’t he have a boyfriend? His important Kaoru-kun…Kaoru was the only one who had the bravery to Take care of Sakuma Rei. Rei would never find anyone else.
Letting go of the power for a while…was freeing. He had kept that on, the power, since childhood. But the people he cared so deeply about, didn’t even like Kaoru. Rei understood he brought it out of nowhere like he did everything, and they were protective of their group but still…
…Rei just really liked Kaoru.
Was he some actress whom people didn’t want to see date? Some female idol? No, he was just Sakuma Rei. And his history would be left in the dust, as time passed. Tenshouin Eichi would stand at the top, and he and Rei would never meet again. So, it was the Perfect time to get Kaoru-kun to become his boyfriend. He’d worked hard, harder than he had worked for anyone before, and finally Kaoru had turned his eyes away from girls onto him, Sakuma Rei. Giving him a Chance.
When Kaoru finally held him, Rei felt his life was Complete.
It was humbling, for Sakuma Rei. He felt human. This free unconstricted breeze with his light breezy tenor who would never pay attention to him. For once in Sakuma Rei’s life, he had to work hard for something. For someone.
"Ahaha. If we could all become Rei Sakuma just by working hard, then all of us would push ourselves to the bone."
He remembered Kaoru’s words when they had first met. Speaking of fact, but not admiring him like everyone else. A man on his own path, so secure that he did not falter in interactions with others, including with Sakuma Rei.
And ironically, he was the first one Rei had worked hard for. Because he wanted him.
Why couldn’t Sakuma Rei get someone…?
“Alright,” Shu Itsuki sighed. Hand to his head. “I understand now, so you’re the Manager at the place, that underground live club which had slackers, so that’s how you met Rei. Passed down by your Father… You liked girls before, but somehow meeting Rei over time, you fell for Rei? And Rei already liked you? I would never have known.” Shu sighed again. “I never thought that guy could have any interest in anyone…how has he kept this secret for so long?”
“He’s Sakuma Rei,” Kanata smiled wryly. “How long have you two been dating?”
Kaoru looked. Paid attention. This guy Kanata was wishy-washy and just let people worship him as a god, but knew what he was doing. Not like Rei who followed people’s expectations from his benevolent heart…Anyway, he really truly did care for Rei, to let down that persona. If only Rei could see that.
“…Just a few months.” Kaoru said. “It hasn’t been that long.”
“How are you sure?” Natsume asked. This was the least he could do for Rei, who was always taking care of him. “That you wouldn’t be interested in girls anymore? I’m not saying you would dare to cheat on Rei, but how do I know you won’t fall back into old habits? Paying attention to girls. Not to Rei.”
“…Does it help if I say I think of adult stuff with Rei?” Kaoru smiled. “Things I used to want to do to girls…somewhat.”
Natsume blushed. He knew what Kaoru was talking about but he didn’t let it off. “Even so..!” He said, He sighed as he backed down from Kaoru’s serious eyes. “I get it…I’m just worried about Rei nii-san…” He said. “Never thought someone would get him…”
“Just because you guys don’t have a romantic relationship,” Kaoru said. “Doesn’t mean Rei can’t have one. He has his own life. You know?” He smiled somewhat sharply.
“I get it,” Wataru was now more calm and more trusting of Kaoru. “But you know, Sakuma Rei is precious. If one day you decide to let him go, each of us……will be on your back. We’re each hard to deal with, you know? And not telling you to get back together with him.” Wataru warned.
“We may be called the Five Eccentrics, but none of us are as benevolent as Rei.” Wataru smiled knowingly. Even Natsume their junior looked hostile with a slightly dark look in his eyes. “We may have methods…to get back at you, Psychologically.”
Kaoru understood. “At least we both agree that Rei is precious.” He said. He smiled. “He brushed that off when I tried to tell him.”
“At least we’re on the same path.” The astute, insightful Wataru said. They shook hands formally.
“I think it’s okay!” Wataru turned back to his true personality. “Kaoru-kun, Hakaze-kun seems harmless enough, yet Strong enough to handle someone like Rei and Take care of him good. Everyone needs a little taking care of sometimes, especially our Sakuma Rei who likes to act strong. If this guy pierced through his heart and found the softened inside, we should be congratulating him, like Rei said!” He spread his hands.
Itsuki Shu lightened at that. There was an unsaid knowing in their group that Wataru was the frivolous, but insightful one. He could be even more insightful than Shu, who considered himself at the height of insightfulness. He still wore a Mask but no one would question the Five Eccentrics.
Anyway, like Wataru said, they wouldn’t show Mercy if Kaoru ever hurt Rei.
“Alright then,” Shu said. Then he looked almost uncomfortable. But he got it out. “I…apologize, I guess. I was just worried – concerned about Rei’s decisions. Never had we heard him talk about wanting to go out with someone before, or have a romantic interest…” Shu trailed off.
Kanata nodded, his smile accepting the situation.
Kaoru said. “Reasonable.” He smiled back. “Sakuma Rei truly is a mystery, isn’t he? Though, I don’t think he’s that hard to understand.” Kaoru said. “…I think like anyone else, he just wants to be treated as human, and loved.”
The Five Eccentrics were silent. They too wanted to be Loved, but they didn’t know Sakuma Rei had held such desire in such large amounts.
They then realized they were wrong, they had good intentions but they had hurt Rei.
Unlike them, Rei had been Student Council President with a lot of work, and had to juggle overseas trips putting out fires and helping people at the same time…and Tenshouin Eichi already had his eye on Rei then.
Even though he had spoken in his usual devil may not care tone, it must have taken some courage for Rei to tell them he had a Boyfriend, considering his outburst and disbelief at them.
Itsuki Shu was the first one to made his way over to Rei. “Hey, Rei…” Shu Itsuki began.
Rei was curled in a hunched over position and silent.
Shu sighed. “I’m sorry.” He said. “I’ll accept it, your…boyfriend.”
“…Hmph.” Rei said, then fell silent.
“Rei-kun can act childish if he wants to,” Kanata showed some insight as he was smiling. “…Just, talk to us, okay? We’re sorry…”
Rei turned his head slightly, like a petulant hurt child. Or the teenager he never got to be. “…Do you like Kaoru-kun now?”
“I like him enough.” Shu crossed his arms. “Enough to accept him…” he was slightly embarrassed at his earlier behavior.
“Um, I like Kaoru-kun!” Kanata said cheerfully.
“Sorry Rei!” Natsume came running up. He was looking worriedly at Rei. “Are you alright? That must have hurt, right? Sorry!”
“Sorry! Rei-kun!” Wataru was the one to apologize next.
Rei didn’t look like he trusted them again just yet. “…I’m the submissive one in the relationship.” He said, fully expecting Rejection.
“Er well, that’s a surprise,” Shu held his head. “…But whatever you want, Rei.”
Shu cared less than he thought. Rei was surprised. He looked at Kanata, who smiled.
“That’s your privacy, isn’t it?” The private individual said. He smiled. “Rei can be submissive, I don’t care!”
“Eeeeeeeh?” Natsume said in Surprise. But he sighed. “Well, if we have someone like Tsumugi, we shouldn’t be surprised at Sakuma Rei’s choices.” He shrugged off. Then he got concerned again. “Does he take care of you well?”
“Er…” Rei said, not expecting the junior he cared so much about to take care of him back. “…I guess…” he blushed slightly.
“Oh wow!” Wataru said in his usual flamboyant speech. “Rei-kun, Sakuma Rei is finally confiding in us! It is a truly joyous day!” He said in his usual English, then grew serious.
He smiled as he looked at Rei. “It’s your choice, Rei-kun.”
Rei was surprised at this acceptance. He was so dominant, because he had to be. Everyone expected so much of Sakuma Rei. Always. Never a rest. So them accepting he was submissive, had chosen that path for himself…was like they cared about Rei’s feelings.
He could almost cry, but Sakuma Rei didn’t cry. He had surprised them enough, so he blinked back a tear and smirked as his usual Sakuma Rei, “Oh so you do care? What a surprise. Or should I say…you don’t care? What, another surprise.”
“We always cared…” Shu had to say at this point.
“I care for Rei-kun!” Kanata said cheerily.
“Would we be here, if we didn’t care?” Wataru asked kindly.
“I have a different impression of Rei nii – Rei-kun from now on,” Natsume seemed to have come to his own conclusion as usual. He looked up determinedly. “Don’t worry! I will support you fully, Rei Sakuma!”
“Anyway,” Shu said, smirking. “That means, if something goes wrong, since Rei is submissive, it must be all Kaoru-kun’s fault right?” His eyes glinted in slyness. “That’s permission to teach Hakaze Kaoru a lesson…if need be.”
“Oh you’re right, Shu nii-san!” Natsume realized.
“Oh, permission huh…” Kanata smiled darkly.
“All…” Wataru smiled nitpickingly. “Hm, I suppose that’s true.”
Rei was shocked, stunned, surprised. He wasn’t sure which emotion it was. They cared that much?
“Hey hey, what are you talking about, about me again?” Kaoru suddenly casually came up from behind He had his casual smile. “Already plotting the revenge that doesn’t even exist? The Five Eccentrics sure are scary…except for my Sakuma Rei, my Rei-kun, my precious babe forever. No girl could compare. Still don’t like me quite yet huh,” he said as the Five Eccentrics who were used to closedness gave him a slightly hostile stare at the openness of his tone. “No worries, you’ll get used to me~not like Rei did. Ew, my heart is only for Rei. My body too. Anyway, thank goodness Tenshouin Eichi is on the bad side huh? Last time, I was scared he might fall for Sakuma Rei’s charm. But he didn’t. So Rei is all mine~imagine me facing Tenshouin Eichi. I wouldn’t dare. Er, why are you looking at me like that Rei?” Kaoru asked.
“…Last time…?” Rei questioned suspiciously.
“Kaoru-kun, wasn’t that before we knew each other?”
“No no,” Kaoru waved his hands, the Five Eccentrics looked at him as he looked sheepish. “I swear, it was just a fleeting thought. ‘Ah, will Tenshouin Eichi fall for Sakuma Rei’s charm like the rest?’ It was something like that!”
Well for the Five Eccentrics who were quite closed off, Kaoru’s confidence got to them to say the least. But he wasn’t a bad person, so they accepted him for Rei.
Just, they knew this guy didn’t give a damn.
But if he spoke to Sakuma Rei like that…they could see why Rei had gained interest in him.
“…Tenshouin Eichi, fall for my charm?” Sakuma Rei chuckled, eyes bright in amusement. “You’re funny, Kaoru-kun.”
“I’m so happy~to hear my cute boyfriend say that~”
Rei blushed slightly again. “Hey, I’m in front of my Friends you know…” He said.
“The friends who just accepted you’re submissive?” Kaoru said casually and picked Rei up just as casually, holding him to his chest with a smile. “They don’t care, Rei. Well I will wait forever~for my Rei to come out of his shell~” Kaoru trilled.
Rei blushed again, then slowly hesitantly hugged Kaoru. He looked to the Five Eccentrics.
Shu, Kanata, Wataru, and Natsume just smiled at him with little shrugs of their shoulders.
Rei was relieved. He looked to Kaoru. “To think that I was the one doing everything to get you to pay attention to my Charms~” He said.
“Completely floored by Sakuma Rei’s charm,” Kaoru gave a mock bow. “Never thought I would be like this for a guy~Sakuma Rei, you’re truly one of a kind. Body, heart and soul. You have me completely.”
The last sentence was what made Rei smile.
He finally had Kaoru.
The Five Eccentrics looked like they didn’t quite like Kaoru’s outgoing personality just yet…
Rei was oblivious though.
Rei was also just feeling a weight lift off his shoulders at all the Acceptance…
Then he remembered. “Hey, so were you paying attention to me from before then…?”
“No way~” Kaoru said with his charming smile. He put a finger on Rei’s head lightly. “Only as a student of Yumenosaki~don’t overestimate yourself Sakuma Rei~even you need to work for me~”
Rei should feel insulted, but he only felt refreshness. This treating of him as human by Kaoru Hakaze.
He felt slightly disappointed, but slightly relieved at the same time. It was a strange feeling.
The Five Eccentrics looked slightly protective though…
Kaoru just smiled. He looked towards them. “Well, maybe when each of you gets interest in someone, you’ll understand the feeling.” He said.
He did not know this group would completely split up in the future.
And each would gain interest in someone, romantic or not.
Kaoru couldn’t predict the future.
Tenshouin Eichi and Sakuma Rei would share a room too, he didn’t know that.
How surprising connections could become as they weaved towards the future…
The future was full of hope.
Kaoru carried Rei along with him, bringing him to his side. Rei straightened and rested against Kaoru’s shoulder, like it was his resting place.
The Rei clad in his delinquent-like school uniform let himself lean against Kaoru.
“So, I need to work for you huh~? Me, Sakuma Rei? I thought that was over…” Rei said, sighed.
“Yep, it’s over~I was speaking of the Past. Now…where do you want to go? Should we go to the arcade so I can win you a toy from the claw machine like you’re my girlfriend? Sakuma Rei?”
“Do you even know how to play the claw machine? Let me win a token for you instead, as thanks for helping me to deal with the Five Eccentrics…” Rei let out a hand.
“No~that’s a boyfriend’s job right? Don’t worry about it. Of course I have to protect my cute, submissive Rei~”
“I’m not that submissive. It’s just my position. I accept if fully…you just happen to be the dominant type, to my surprise…wait you’re just teasing me aren’t you?” Rei said with a frown some would call cute.
“Do I get a kiss for you figuring it out~?” Kaoru teased.
“Why do you get a kiss for my actions?” Rei was exasperated but fond. He giggled slightly as he bumped Kaoru’s shoulder, not noticing Kaoru’s hand had wrapped around his waist. “You’re strange, Hakaze Kaoru.”
“We’re a pair, then.” Kaoru pulled Rei closer by the waist and placed a kiss on his forehead.
They made off into the sunset together, and Sakuma Rei looked like he finally had someone who wanted to be equal to him.
