Heda, the commander

Summary:

Lexa Woods of Arkadia had everything a girl could ask for, a loving fiancée, a good family, a best friend, high hopes for her future career.
But when she intercepts a letter from a banished ambassador her world is suddenly taken away from her, wrongly accused of treason she is thrown in
prison where she spends the next seven years figuring out how she is going to escape. Once she escapes she has only one thing on her mind and that is
to get revenge on the one person who put her there....her best friend. Loosely based on the Count of Monte Cristo.

Notes:

I've had this idea in my head for a while and just want to give it a go, this fic will probably take a while to finish because I'm still writing it but I want to see what everybody thinks of it.

I do not own the 100 or the count of monte cristo.

Chapter 1: chapter 1

Chapter Text

In Arkadia, (a small city in the kingdom of Polis) lives a very aspiring young politician. Lexa Woods daughter of Gustus Woods had the world at her
fingertips, she was an honest hard-working citizen with hopes of becoming a politician. She had a beautiful girlfriend; Clarke and she had a best
friend, Ontari. But as life had it, she made a grave mistake that changed her life completely...

Lexa grew up a little rough, her father was a merchant but not a very good one which meant there was many nights that they went hungry, but that never
stopped her from being a humble person but it indeed pushed her to do something with her life. At a very young age she always wanted to be a politician
and some would say she was a natural, she had a very commanding demeanor that many of the older politicians couldn't help but notice. They had no doubt
that one day she would be a very good leader. It was because of this very reason that Lexa and her best friend Ontari, were trusted to travel to Tondc
where they were to negotiate a treaty with their leaders.

But on the way back they ran into some horse trouble and were forced to seek help from Shallow Valley, this was home to none other than Titus, who was
banished there. Titus a senator of Polis but was banished when it was discovered he was plotting to turn the country from democracy to a dictatorship. Ontari looked around watching her back for any kind of movement while Lexa did the same.

"Lexa, are we sure about this were not supposed to be here."

"What choice do we have; we need some sort of transportation."

"I know but I've got a bad feeling about this."

Then off in the distance they heard gunshots followed by yelling, Lexa looked to her right and seen a group of men running towards them.

"Run!"

The girls took off going in the same direction being closely followed by the men, they came across a tall hill, to which Lexa told Ontari to hide behind
a rock while she climbs up the hill. She waited for the men to stop right below her and before they could figure out which way to go, she jumped on them
while Ontari attacked them from behind the rock with her sword out. The fight only lasted for a few minutes before the girls were captured and as their
hands were being tied behind their backs, someone approached them.

Two men approached both bald but one was very pale while the other was dark skinned. The dark-skinned one looked at the girls and asked them.

"What is your business here?"

"I am Lexa Woods and this Ontari Rollins, we are from Arkadia. We were returning home from a diplomatic expedition in Tondc when we had some horse trouble."

"Out of all the places for you to have horse trouble you happen to have it here, where we are guarding Polis's greatest traitor."

"Believe me sir, it was not our intention, but if you could give us a horse then we will gladly be on our way." The white bald man kept looking at her
and it was starting to make her nervous. Ontari picked up on it too and couldn't help but get a little worried about the situation they were in.

The dark-skinned man looked them over and nodded to his men to release them.

"My name is Lincoln, and we can provide you with a horse in the morning but for now its late, I'll show you two to a room where you can get a little bit
of sleep for the night."

"Thank you," They both replied.

Later on, that night Lexa and Ontari were in a room laughing the night away after they found a bottle of rum.

"Here's to you, Ontari the greatest best friend a person could ask for."

"That I am." Ontari laughed but then suddenly turned serious, "Do you always think it's going to be like this though?"

"What are you talking about, why would anything change?"

"But life does change I mean look at you, you're getting married soon."

Lexa suddenly looked sad, "Hopefully Clarke isn't worried about us, we were supposed to be home tonight."

"Nah, I'm sure she's not worried you're with me after all."

"You know what, you're right," Lexa suddenly stood up a little wobbly on her feet but still she held her glass up high, "here's to Clarke, the most beautiful girl in the world, and to you Ontari,
for always getting me in and out of trouble. Cheers!"

Then suddenly the door opened and, in the doorway, stood the white bald man from earlier. Lexa and Ontari just stood there in silence not knowing what to do.

Ontari finally spoke up, "Good evening, sir, can we help you with something?"

"Yes, I wonder if I could have a word with miss Woods in private."

"Um, of course sir," Lexa put her glass down and followed the man out quickly giving Ontari a look which silently meant come and get me if I'm not back in
five minutes.

Lexa followed the man until they were about hundred feet away from the room Lexa was staying in.

"I didn't tell you my name earlier, but I'm Titus."

Lexa shook her head at him, "Yes, I figured that, what do you want from me?"

"I just wondered if you would deliver a personal letter for me, the guards like to read my mail and normally I wouldn't care to let them read it, but this
letter is really personal to me."

Lexa just stood there feeling very uncomfortable for a second and started to shake her head.

"I can assure you, miss Woods it's just a letter to an old friend of mine no funny business I just don't want the guards knowing about this it."

"Surely someone else can deliver it?"

"Let's just say my friend currently resides in Arkadia so this arrangement is perfect." Titus continued to look at Lexa and added, "I can promise nothing will happen to you."

"Who am I supposed to deliver it to."

"Don't worry they will seek you out, and take the letter from you when it is safe to do so, the only thing you have to do is make sure the letter lands
into the hands of Cage Wallace."

Lexa still had a bad feeling about this, but she took the letter anyway. A few minutes later she was walking back into the room when Ontari looked up at
her, "Well what did he want?"

"Just wanted to hear the news of Arkadia, apparently the guards don't tell him much." After that Lexa laid down to go to sleep and passed out
immediately feeling the exhaustion from the day.
