The image of the Affini appeared on screen.
"Hiya Cuties!!! I'm Captain Liliana Lilium, 5th Bloom, She/Her pronouns. Captain of the Lilales. We're going to be boarding you now. Don't worry, we'll be taking care to make sure all you cuties stay safe!"
The Screen went black, and John felt a jolt.
"What do we do Captain?" someone asked.
"Hail them back." John instructed, "I want to talk."
The comms officer hailed, but there wasn't a response. John instructed him to try again, this time, it went through.
"How can I help you cutie?" Said Liliana.
"Captain Liliana. I'm Captain John Alex of the CNS Razor's Fury. I'd like to negotiate."
"Negotiate? What makes you think you have power here?" Asked the Affini.
"Nothing." Replied the Terran, "but I think you'll be interested in what I have to say."
"Alright, I'll bite." Said Lilliana, "and I mean that in more ways than one~"
"I want to challenge you to a game. A simple game, Blackjack. If you win, I will become your pet. If I win, you let my men go."
"Blackjack... that's the one where you draw two cards and want to hit twenty-one, right?"
John nodded. "Correct. Are you ready?"
Lilliana drew two cards, and placed one in front of the screen. A King. 12 Points.
John drew two cards. A 8 and a 9. 17 Points. He showed the Affini the 8.
"Stand." Lilliana said.
"Hit." John drew another card. A 3. Perfect. "Stand."
John smiled revealing his cards, 8+9+3=20.
The Affini flipped over her second card. A 9.
Shit...
"I believe I win." said the Affini. "Don't worry petal, you'll make such a good floret~ and I'll be a good Mistress."
The last words John heard as he lost consciousness, a gas filling the room, was the words of his Mistress, "Sleep tight petal~ You're a good Floret. I can't wait to see what games we can play~
