You and Maya are making your way to the meeting room. You trail behind her as you carry her stuff as you’re her assistant.
“I hope he doesn’t fuck this up.” Maya tells you as the meeting room comes into view. “Sorry we’re late, caught a mistake on one of the teasers and had to fix it before we posted it.” Maya tells the room as you both walk in. You then hand her her folder before she sits down as you stay standing in case she needs anything.
“Well if it isn’t the famous Maya Mason.” The guy says as Maya takes a seat, tone a little flirty. You then watch as they make a pitch to the guy to get him to have his next movie be done by the studio. You watch as they all make excellent points but you see him staring at Maya. You look at Maya and you see she either doesn’t notice or doesn’t care.
After about half an hour, you all notice that he might be leaning towards another studio so Maya starts flirting back with him. You see the guy, who’s name you forgot already, catches on to her flirting very quickly and seems more interested in the conversation.
You watch as she laughs at a few of his jokes, changed her tone to match his, and touches his arm at one point. You watch all of this and you feel the jealousy building inside of you. You cross your arms and furrow your eyebrows in anger and silently stew in the corner.
“Mr. Baron, I can assure you that if you sign with us then you’ll have more freedom to make the movie how you want it then you would if you sign with someone else.” Maya tells him and you see he’s thinking about it.
“You know what? You convinced me, I’ll sign with you guys.” He then says and everyone smiles at him, except for you. Maya casts a glance at you and she sees you’re angry. Matt hands him over the papers for the contract and rules and Mr. Baron signs them.
“We can’t wait to work on this with you.” Maya tells him.
“Well I know with you marketing it then it’ll be a hit.” He tells her before leaving. They all wait until he’s out of earshot before they start celebrating.
“Way to go Maya!” Matt tells her.
“Who knew you had that in you.” Sal says.
“Well I gotta get back to work, come on Y/n.” Maya says as she gets up. Quinn ends up seeing your expression as Maya passes by you as you seem to be shooting daggers at Maya right now.
“Did you seriously flirt with him?” You ask her once you both reach her office. She puts down the folder from the meeting before she looks at you.
“It got him to sign, I don’t see the problem.” She tells you before she sits in her chair.
“Oh I’m sorry, I was under the impression that we’ve been in a relationship for the past year.” You say and she tilts her head.
“We are, we live together.” She says and you put your hands on your hips.
“Then why the fuck we’re you flirting with him?” You ask her, voice slightly louder.
“We needed him to sign and he did, not a big deal.” She tells you, not getting it. She picks up some papers and a pen to write something down. “Wait…are you jealous?” She asks and you huff. “Is that why you’re all pouty and angry, because you’re jealous?” She asks you with a smirk.
“Why are you happy about that?”
“You’re quite cute when you’re jealous.” She tells you and puts the end of the pen in her mouth and bites down on it.
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re amused by all of this.” You say.
“I am, it’s quite funny that you’re jealous just because I was flirting so he’d sign with us.” She says with a smirk.
“I don’t want to talk to you right now.” You tell her.
“You do realise you’re my assistant right?” She asks and you huff before you turn around to leave. “Y/n.” She says and you turn around, thinking she might apologise. “Can you go get me some coffee?” She asks and you roll your eyes.
“Your usual?” You ask her angrily and she nods.
After getting her coffee you sit at your desk, mostly stewing in anger, and thinking about how Maya isn’t really considering your feelings in the situation. You then start doing your work that she wants you to do. After a few hours she gets you to come bring her some folders to a movie set. You go down to the set and you give them to her while she’s talking with the director. You’re still angry with her so you just leave after and you don’t notice her looking at you leaving. You don’t get too far as the lead actress comes up to you and starts talking to you.
“Hi.” She says and you turn around to look at her.
“Hi.” You tell her.
“I haven’t seen you here before.” She says with a smile.
“I’m the assistant of Maya Mason. She’s lead marketing.” You tell her.
“Oh, well I can’t wait to see how you help market this movie. I’m sure it’ll be great with your help.” She says and you blush.
“Thank you.” You say with a shy smile and look down briefly. When you look back up you happen to notice Maya looking at you both with furrowed eyebrows.
“What’s your name?” The actress asks.
“I’m Y/n, what’s your name?”
“I’m Elaine.” She tells you and you shake her head.
“Nice to meet you. Also are you enjoying working on the movie?” You ask her.
“Oh so much. It’s so fun and I could tell that your studio gave a lot of freedom in this movie.” She says.
“That’s what we like to do. Have I seen you in something before? You look familiar.” You ask her and she smiles before she lists off a few things she’s been in. You look over her shoulder and see Maya is looking at you and crossing her arms and you smile, maybe this is the best payback for earlier.
Maya is watching you talk to the actress and she’s feeling a tightness in her chest creep up on her. She sees you smiling and blushing at her and she’s getting jealous. She’s normally so confident with everything in her life but with you it’s different. You two have an age gap as you’re in your mid twenties and she’s in her 40’s. Now seeing you talk with a beautiful young woman is making her very jealous, you’re hers and only hers. She then blows past the both of you and you turn back to Elaine.
“I should go, in case she needs me for anything.” You tell her.
“I understand, but come back to visit any time.” She says and you smile and nod before you follow Maya.
A couple hours later you’re sitting on your desk, eating takeout that you ordered as you both had to skip dinner earlier. All of a sudden Maya comes up to your desk and packs your food away.
“Maya, what the fuck, I’m still eating.” You tell her.
“Eat in the car, we’re going home.” She says as she grabs the takeout bag and walks away. You grab your things and follow after her.
In the car you finish eating your food as Maya drives you both home and you notice that she keeps glancing at you.
“Can I help you with something?” You ask her.
“You seemed to have enjoyed talking to that actress earlier.” She says and you shrug.
“I guess, she’s nice and she said I can visit her whenever I want.” You tell her and you see Maya’s knuckles turning white. “Are you gripping the wheel hard enough?” You ask her and she huffs.
“Why does that matter to you if I am or not?” She asks and you furrow your eyebrows.
“Because your knuckles are white.” You simply say as she pulls up the driveway to the house.
She gets out of the car, slamming the car door shut and walks up to the front door without looking at you. She lets you both inside and she puts her things down while you go throw out the takeout bag. She has her hands on her hips and puts her head back as she lets out a big sigh.
“What’s going on?” You ask as you walk up to her.
“What’s going on is you were flirting with that actress.” She says as she points to you.
“Even if I was then it’s not a big deal as you were flirting with that director earlier.” You counter.
“So that he would sign the fucking contract!” She yells. “I did it so that we could have a really good movie under our belt. You flirted with that girl just because you wanted to.”
“I didn’t flirt with her.”
“Maybe you weren’t but she definitely was and you weren’t stopping her.” She says.
“Only because I wanted you to know how it felt when you were flirting with that guy. You found it amusing earlier and you didn’t even take my feelings into consideration!” You counter and you decide to add fuel to the fire. “Maybe next time I should flirt back, as it’ll be with someone who takes an interest in me.” You say and you see Maya’s eyes darken before she grabs your waist.
“You aren’t flirting with anyone but me.” She says with a growl. “Maybe you need a reminder of who you belong to.” She adds before she kisses you.

“Need I remind you that you started this by flirting with that guy.” You shoot back as you glare at her.
“So that’s how you want to play it.” She says as she gets off the bed and then takes your pants and underwear off. You watch as she takes off all her expensive clothes and throws them carelessly on the floor. She then goes into the nightstand drawer and pulls out her favourite dildo and strap. “Thank you.” You tell her and take a sip of the coffee. “You seem happy this morning.”
“Well why wouldn’t I? We had super hot sex yesterday and I’m making sure my girl is happy.”
“I’d be happier if I woke up and you were still in bed.” You say. “But I do appreciate the food and coffee.”
A couple hours later you both walk into the building and you get told that Matt, Sal and Quinn are asking for Maya on one of the sets.
“Maya, they want you to go to set 5.” You tell her after putting your phone back in your pocket and she nods. On the way there, Mr. Baron goes up to Maya with a smile on his face and you roll your eyes.
“Maya, hi.” He says and she doesn’t stop walking and he follows after her. “So I was thinking that maybe you’d want to go out for drinks with me some time in the very near future.” He tells her and she stops and looks at him.
“And why the fuck would I want to do that?” She asks.
“Well I picked up on both of us flirting with each other, I think we hit it off.” He says and she looks at you and sees you about to stab the guy with the pen you’re holding. She grabs your arm and keeps you from stabbing him and looks at him.
“I wasn’t flirting with you yesterday, and I’m very busy right now so my assistant and I have to go do work. Can’t wait to see how your movie turns out.” She tells him before she pulls you with her to set 5. “No killing people that gets us money and work.” She says to you.
“You really confused him as you said you weren’t flirting with him yesterday when you definitely were.” You tell her with a smile.
“Well he’ll now stay away from me for good, which I know makes you happy and you won’t have to commit a crime.” She says just as you see everyone else.
Just as everyone is discussing something that you’re half paying attention to, Elaine comes up to you with a smile.
“Y/n, back so soon?” She asks and you see Maya whip her head at you.
“Just working out an issue here.” You tell her.
“Well I’m sure with your help then it’ll get resolved quickly.” She says and then Maya is right beside you. She wraps an arm around your waist, low enough to send a message to Elaine and then brings you to the group.
“Sorry but I need my girlfriend and assistant paying attention to this.” She tells Elaine and everyone looks at you two. Elaine leaves back to set 4 and Maya turns back to the group to see everyone staring at her with shocked expressions. “What the fuck are you all looking at? We need to fix this.” She says and that gets everyone to start working again but still with so many questions in their minds, all of which Maya may or may not answer later.
