Back to Me

Summary:

“Whatever you want to believe, Agatha, but if you’ll excuse me, I really need to get back to my date.” Rio began to turn but she was quickly spun back around to face Agatha, an annoyed expression smattering her features.

“Like hell you do,” Agatha said through gritted teeth. The song changed and they gravitated towards each other as Agatha leaned into Rio, whispering in her ear, “Let’s get out of here.”

Rio felt the goosebumps rising on her arms as she struggled to keep her breathing under control, as she looked into Agatha’s dilated pupils. She smirked as she let herself be guided towards the door. Oh, this was going to be fun.

“Promise I'm changing
Back from the dark
But if I would see you
I'd fall apart”
-Back to Me, The Marias

As she adjusted the hem of her dress while she looked in the mirror, Rio suddenly realized she might not actually be able to handle this. The thought of seeing Agatha again, and especially her new girlfriend, at this afterparty later filled her with rage and made her head spin simultaneously. They hadn’t seen each other since they broke up two months ago. Who moves on from a two year relationship after two months anyway? Rio thought as the hints of a headache started creeping in behind her temples.

The intrusion of her best friend and roommate Alice into her bedroom startled her from her thoughts. Her eyes travelled along Rio’s body appreciatively, taking in the red dress she currently had on, stopping to stare at the cutout running along her side. “Damn girl! Agatha’s going to freak when she sees us together later.” Rio laughed the comment off, it being one of many she received from Alice boosting her confidence before many nights out. That is, until the last part reminded her of what they were plotting. The idea seemed like a good one at the time, but now the thought filled her with anxiety.

When Rio first found out about Agatha’s girlfriend, a blonde hand model or some vapid thing like that, and totally not Agatha’s type, she spent the next hour melting down over the news with her best friend. Alice, however, already had a plan to win Agatha back. They were all invited to Wanda’s party next month, celebrating her recent promotion. The thought was simple really, Rio would pretend to be Alice’s date to the event, pretending to be completely enamored with her every time Agatha so much as glanced over at them, and… Well, they hadn’t exactly thought that far ahead, but the goal was clear, make Agatha jealous.

As Alice picked up a makeup brush and applied some finishing touches to Rio’s eyeshadow, Rio was able to take in Alice’s look for the evening. Her hair was mussed and the white waistcoat she was wearing over her black slacks displayed her form perfectly. In other words, Agatha would be seething.

“I know, I know, I’m sooo hot. But it’s time to go,” Alice said as she took one last glance over at Rio.

She launched a pillow from her bed towards Alice as they headed out the door, laughing to herself. She might as well have a good time tonight, even if she did have to see that blonde all over Agatha.

Upon entering the bar, Wanda immediately spotted them, rushing over to envelop them in a hug. “Welcome guys! I’m so glad you two could come! Go on and get started with a few drinks,” she pointed towards the bar as she yelled over the blaring music. Alice congratulated Wanda on her achievement as Rio scanned the dancefloor for the woman she really came here to see. Her eyes drifted over people dancing to the music, couples grinding against each other in a way that made her want to gag, and people drinking, but no sign of Agatha. She let her eyes continue to roam towards the back of the room where she suddenly saw her. There, in the dark corner, was Agatha, her new girlfriend nuzzled into her neck like she had done so a thousand times, my spot, and her eyes instantly met Rio’s, a gloating smirk on her face. Rio could feel the blood that had risen to her face and grabbed Alice’s hand, pulling her towards the bar. She took one last glance at Agatha, who had now fully turned towards her girlfriend who was playing with her messy brown hair. That bitch, Rio wanted to scream. God, she was going to need a drink, or ten, to get through this night.

“I can’t believe she actually brought her here,” Rio muttered as Alice thrusted a shot towards her. “Like she’s rubbing it in my face how mature and ‘moved on’ she is. I can be fucking ‘moved on’ too.”

“That’s what I, your fake girlfriend, am here to prove. Now come on, I want to dance!” Alice pulled Rio to the dance floor, positioning them right in Agatha’s view, something Rio was sure was very deliberate on Alice’s part. Alice leaned into Rio so she could hear her over the music, “Come on, move a little, I know you can dance. Just pretend she’s not there, trust me.”

Rio took a quick glance over to Agatha, who was taking a slow sip of her drink, staring at Rio, almost like she was challenging her to prove that this whole thing was real, that she could have possibly ever gotten over Agatha and was now dating someone new. Rio glared back, not one to back down from a challenge, especially not with alcohol in her system.

She broke their eye contact and stepped closer to Alice. Slowly, she moved in towards her date as their hips rocked in sync with one another. Her hands found their place on Alice’s hips as Rio leaned in, slowly inching her face towards Alice’s neck. “Now that’s how you make someone jealous,” Alice whispered. “Agatha’s staring at me like she’s going to rip me apart with her bare hands,” she continued as she let out a small laugh.

Rio got impossibly closer to Alice as they veered towards movements that even she would consider obscene as she tried her best to put wanting behind her stare into Alice’s eyes. “Convincing enough, do you think?”

“Oh, I’d say,” Alice responded as she looked over Rio’s shoulder.

Rio sensed her before she felt her. Heavy steps with a clear path parted the crowd on the dancefloor as they made their way towards Rio. A hand on her shoulder, a voice in her ear, the breath warming her neck, “Trying to make me jealous baby?”

Alice hurried off, excusing herself to go get another drink, a gloating grin on her face as she raced towards the bar. Rio took a second to compose herself before she turned around, but nothing could have prepared her for Agatha’s piercing blue eyes on her, or the way her jaw was clenched. The way her heavy breathing made her chest rise and fall in quick succession was contradictory with the easy tone she tried to put on, and Rio could see right past her. “I don’t know, is it working?”

“I don’t get jealous,” was Agatha’s reply as she took advantage of her closeness to Rio, eyes grazing over every inch of Rio’s body, making Rio flush red. Rio also took in Agatha from this new proximity, taking in Agatha’s black blazer and hastily buttoned dress shirt inside, taking in a sharp inhale when she realized Agatha had chosen not to wear a bra.

After a tense Uber ride, as Agatha struggled to unlock the door to her apartment, Rio quipped, “You know, I happen to be in a very serious relationship with Alice. You can’t just take me to your bedroom because I happen to look so good.”

“I’m not in a joking mood, Rio,” Agatha huffed, clearly agitated as she put the key into her doorknob again hastily.

“Fine, but I’m sure that blonde hand model is less than pleased that you practically dragged me out of the bar just now.”

Now she was really getting on Agatha’s nerves, Rio could tell. “We broke up,” Agatha growled as she finally swung the door open and grabbed Rio, pinning her to the wall.

By now Agatha looked like she wanted to devour her right where they stood, but Rio wasn’t done having her fun. “When could you have possibly done that? When she was nuzzling into your neck? Or maybe when she was playing with your hair?”

“How about the second your hands went to Alice’s hips?” Agatha responded. Rio could sense that her restrain was getting thin. Agatha was breathing heavily now, her hair somehow more debauched than usual, and it was clearly taking everything in her not to let her hands roam across Rio as her eyes were glued to the high slight on the side of her dress, exposing her upper thigh.

Rio was content with that answer and she let her gaze fall to Agatha’s lips, the tension between them charged. Her cheeks got impossibly redder, but she wasn’t going to be the first to give into the temptation. She could feel the second Agatha decided to break, her hands moving towards her face, smashing her lips into Rio’s.

Oh, how Rio missed Agatha, everything about her–from the feel of her lips to the way their bodies slotted together perfectly. She felt drunk on the feeling of Agatha all over her, moaning into her mouth as her hands went up to tangle in her hair, pushing her in impossibly closer. Agatha took this as an invitation to slide her tongue into Rio’s mouth, deepening their kiss as she snaked one hand behind Rio’s back and another around her leg, hiking up the skirt of her dress, making Rio throw her head back against the wall. “Bed. Now,” Rio rasped hungrily.

Agatha pulled Rio from the wall as she led her towards her bedroom. Rio grasped for Agatha’s blazer, tearing it off of her and discarding it haphazardly somewhere between the entrance to Agatha’s apartment and her living room. They stumbled into Agatha’s bedroom, Agatha’s lips searching across Rio’s neck and chest as Rio further ran her hands through Agatha’s hair, making the other woman groan beneath her.

Agatha backed Rio’s knees against the edge of her bed and Rio fell to lay on her back. She readjusted to look up at Agatha, who was licking her lips at the sight. Rio was feeling similarly depraved as she could fully see the mess she had made of Agatha, with her run through hair and several buttons on her blouse undone. “Don’t be shy, gorgeous,” Rio batted her eyes at Agatha and that was all it took for her hands to fly to Rio’s dress and their mouths to make contact once again.

Their movements were sloppier this time as their clothes came off, Agatha pulled Rio’s dress to her hips as Rio impatiently pulled at Agatha’s pants. Their hands felt the familiar territory of each other's bodies as they panted in unison, succumbing to the gravity of their desire.

Agatha succeeded in pulling off Rio’s dress as her shirt similarly came off. Rio’s hands immediately went to Agatha’s chest, making the other woman lean her head back in a low moan. She bent her head down to lick Agatha’s nipple as her hand toyed with the other, making Agatha’s hip lurch forward. After a few seconds she switched her mouth to Agatha’s other breast snaking her hands around her torso to pull Agatha closer into her. Agatha gasped as Rio tried to pull her underneath her.

“It’s my turn now,” Agatha teased as she reversed Rio’s motions and pushed the brunette back against the bed, propping her head back on one of the pillows. She gave her a hungry kiss before kissing down Rio’s body slowly, stopping at her chest to suck on one of her nipples as she played with the other. “Someone’s impatient now, aren’t they?” she purred as Rio’s hips shot up.

“Fuck me, Agatha,” she choked. “Please.”

“Desperate, are we? Now you know how I felt,” Agatha hummed dangerously as she continued her path to Rio’s thighs, placing gentle bites along Rio’s sensitive areas.

“Agatha,” Rio whimpered. “I need you.”

That was all it took for Agatha to reach towards Rio’s black lace panties, sliding them off as Rio lifted her hips. “All wet just for me?”

“Obviously Agatha, now just fuck me!” Rio pleaded needily, her hips bucking towards Agatha, searching for friction.

“Well, since you asked so nicely,” Agatha replied as she sank her head between Rio’s thighs, feeling the wetness pooling between her legs as Rio’s hands found their place in Agatha’s hair, roughly pushing her closer.

“Yes, Agatha, God! Just like that!” Rio could feel fire pooling in her stomach as Agatha licked her clit with her tongue as Rio lost control of her hips. “More, Agatha!”

Rio’s legs clamped around Agatha’s head as Agatha slid her fingers into her soaking entrance, immediately finding the spot that made Rio cry out in pleasure. “Yes, right there, keep going!” As Agatha continued to pump her fingers into Rio, Rio’s center pulsing around her fingers. “I'm gonna come! Fuck, Agatha” Rio cried out as she felt her self go tense and suddenly saw white as the world faded around her. Her whole body continued to pulse as Agatha helped her come down from her orgasm, lapping gently at her core.

When she regained her breath she managed to say, “I don't think I’ve ever come so hard.”

With a shit eating grin, Agatha replied, “They don’t call me the Witch Killer for nothing.”

Rio rolled her eyes, slapping Agatha’s shoulder playfully. “Why don’t we find out why everyone knows me as Death?” With a quick movement, Rio spun Agatha into her back and reversed their positions. She cupped Agatha’s center and could feel she was soaked from the outside of her simple purple underwear.

Rio moaned at the sensation as Agatha let out a groan from the touch. “Up,” Rio said as Agatha lifted her hips, allowing Rio to take off her ruined panties. Rio wasted no time inserting two fingers into her center, eliciting a scream in pleasure from Agatha. She set a steady pace, fucking Agatha with her fingers, finding almost no resistance from how wet she was.

“More Rio,” Agatha grunted, as Rio slid in a third finger and brought her other thumb to Agatha’s clit. “Yes, Jesus, fuck! Just like that, don’t stop, baby.” Rio brought her mouth to meet Agatha’s swallowing her moans as Agatha’s hands bucked into her movements, completely forgoing the pace she had set, now impatiently fucking Agatha as she could feel her center tightening in anticipation of release. Agatha broke their kiss to moan loudly, slamming her head back into the pillows and arching her back and Rio’s continued ruthlessly.

“Fuck, Rio, don’t stop, don’t stop. Jesus!” Agatha cried out as she jerked around Rio’s fingers, her body undulating as she reached her peak. Rio could feel Agatha’s wetness coating her fingers as she leaned down to lap up Agatha’s juices as she came down from her high.

When Agatha could take it no longer, she gently pushed Rio away from her center and up towards her, meeting their lips together as she enveloped the other woman in an embrace.

Stopping for breath, Rio took one hand to play with Agatha’s hair as she laid down beside her. In their shared blissful state, they both hummed contentedly.

Exhausted, Rio turned over to face Agatha. Eyes shut, face towards the ceiling, with a smile on her face. She had missed seeing Agatha happy, and so close. She resisted the urge to trace her fingers along the bridge of her nose, her favorite part of Agatha’s face, which she would never admit. Rio hadn’t felt so at peace since before they had broken up. “God, if I could marry you right here, I would,” Rio sighed contentedly.

Agatha visibly tensed beside her. “Do you really mean that?” she asked as she turned towards Rio, eyes looking for signs that she was telling the truth.

Rio sat up, doing her best to convey to Agatha everything she was trying to formulate the words for with her eyes alone. “I do, Agatha,” she began shakily, “I’m sorry I got scared when you brought up forever. I know it was my fault we broke up, and I’ve been beating myself up about it since. But I really took these past few months to reflect and I realized that marriage always scared me because it felt so confining, the thought of being tied to someone like that, especially since I had always associated marriage with being with a man.”

Agatha nodded as Rio continued, her hands finding Rio’s, sending her a silent message of support.

“But, marriage with you…it would mean something else entirely. For once I think about marriage and I’m excited about the possibility. If I could wake up next to you for the rest of my life, make breakfast together, and laugh while we hate-watch The Bachelor, I’d truly be the happiest I ever have been.” A tear escaped the corner of Rio’s eye as she took in Agatha’s similarly teary face.

“Rio, I would love to spend the rest of my life with you. You are, and will always be, the most important person to me.” They looked at each other silently for a few moments as they wiped the happy tears off each other’s faces before laughing as they realized their state. They both leaned in, their lips meeting as they sighed contentedly.

When they broke away for breath, Agatha teased, “Next time let’s talk before resorting to grinding on Alice in a bar to make me jealous, yeah?”

“I can’t believe I’m going to marry you Agatha Harkness,” Rio replied, as she looked at the woman in front of her like she had personally hung the moon in the sky, leaning in to close the distance between them and forever.
