Astrid ran inside her hut and bolted for her room. Her mother stood in the kitchen, raising an eyebrow as Astrid raced up the stairs. Eager to know what her daughter was up to, she followed.

When she entered Astrid's room, she found Astrid hurriedly packing a bag. “And where do you think you're going, dear?” her mother asked as she leaned against the door. “With Hiccup, he's leaving to adventure what's beyond here, and we're going with him,” she explained quickly.

“And how long are you going to be away for?” her mother asked with concern. “I'm not sure. It might be a while, but I'll come back and visit, and send terror mail often, promise,” she told her mother. Her mother sighed. She didn't want her daughter to go, she didn't want her to be in danger. " Do you have to go?” she asked, concern laced in her voice.

“Im sorry Mom I have to, where Hiccup goes, we go” she said firmly but gently taking her mother's hands in hers, her mother sighed once again “Okay dear, but go see your father before you leave and be safe out there I expect terror mails at least every other day with an update so I know you're alive” her mother told her sternly.

“No problem Mom, thank you” Astrid hugged her mother tightly and her mother kissed her cheek before she left, going out to the garden to see her father. She quickly explained to her father what was happening and he had the same request as her mother. She hugged him goodbye and went off to pack Stormly before meeting the others in the sky.

After Astrid told Snotlout what was happening, he flew home to start packing, No one was home apparently, so he packed his stuff quickly and went back outside to Hookfang, After packing all his stuff on his dragon, he flew off to find his parents.

He found his father leaving the great hall so he landed in front of him, his father crossed his arms and raised his eyebrow “you leaving with Hiccup boyo?” he asked “Uh yeah, how do you know already” he asked back “Just got out of a meeting with him, I was there for the whole thing” he explained.

“Oh,” Snotlout said getting off Hookfang, “you know, ya don't have to follow everything he does” Spitelout told him “Yeah I know dad but where Hiccup goes, we go” Snotlout replied, Spitelout sighed “Alright boyo, go see your mother before you leave and send her terror mails often you know she's gonna be worried sick” Spitelout told him slapping him on the back “try to make me proud,” he said putting his hands on his hips.

Snotlout gave him a determined look “I will Dad, I'll come back to visit” he called out as he was getting on Hookfang to go look for his mother “Yeah you better young man” Spitelout yelled back as he watched his son fly off.

Snotlout found his mother walking back to their hut, he landed next to her getting off Hookfang, “Hey Mom” he said running up to her for a hug, She hugged back in surprise. “Hey son, where ya off to?” she asked “Not exactly sure, but Hiccup is going to explore what's beyond here, so we're all going with him.” He explained, “And how long are you gonna be gone for?” she asked him putting her hands on her hips.

"Im not sure about that either, but I'll visit often and send terror mails,” he promised, his mother gave him a sad look but sighed knowing that she can't stop her son from following his friends.

“Be safe out there try not to get yourself in any trouble” she told him and kissed his forehead pulling him in for a hug, Snotlout had to hold back some tears but he he hugged his mom back and promised he would. After hugging his mother tightly, he flew off to join the others.

Fishlegs didn't want to leave his mother, but he had to go with his friends, with Hiccup. This was a great opportunity to learn new things, discover new dragons, find new islands, he couldn't just not go.

He went inside his hut where he found his mother in the kitchen about to make lunch, She knew by the look on his face that something was wrong. “Fishlegs, what's wrong dear” she asked him, gesturing for him to sit down. He sat down on his chair in the kitchen, the one he's been sitting on since he was a child.

He looked at his mother and sighed “Well, Hiccup and all the others are leaving Berk for a little while to explore whats beyond, its a great opportunity to learn new things, find new dragons and islands, so Im going to be going with them, because where Hiccup goes, we go” he told his mother as she nodded.

“I know, Astrid's mother just stopped by and told me you guys would be leaving, Go, son, go with your friends and do what you love doing, learn. I'll be fine over here just come home and visit often” she told Fishlegs and went over to him to hug him to which he hugged back tighter “Thank you Mom” he said “Of course son, now go pack, I'll pack you some food for the trip,” she told him, he nodded and went upstairs to pack.

After packing everything on Meatlug, his mother handed him food to put in his saddlebag and he hugged her one last time before leaving, telling her he'd come visit as soon as he can, he then flew off to join his friends.

By the time the twins got to their hut their mother had already heard that all the teens were leaving, so she wasn't surprised when her pair of twins ran upstairs to their shared bedroom and started packing.

She went upstairs to them, figuring she might as well help them pack, “So you two are leaving huh?” she asked them. They looked at each other and scratched their heads “uh, yeah, Hiccups going to explore whats beyond berk and and well,” Ruffnut started “Where Hiccup goes, we go,” Tuffnut finished.

She shook her head in amusement “Yes I know don't worry, you two can go, but I expect you to be on your best behavior, I don't want you driving Hiccup crazy, I would also like if you could visit me every now and then I would like to know my children are still alive” she told them.

Their faces lightened to that and they rushed over to hug their mother, to which their mother hugged back and kissed their cheeks “Thank you Mom” Ruffnut said “We’ll come to visit as much as we can” Tuffnut said.

Their mother laughed “Yes that would be lovely, come on I'll help you two pack.” She helped them pack and carry their things to Barf and Belch, they packed their things on their dragons and their mother gave them one last kiss before they flew off meeting the rest of their friends in the sky.

“Okay, but if any of you have any reservations,” Hiccup said, unsure that his friends would actually want to join him on his adventure.

Everyone flew off ahead of him, except for Snotlout who flew beside him to say “into the great beyond” before flying off with the others.

“Okay no reservations, let's go bud,” Hiccup said to Toothless, together the six of them and their dragons flew into the great beyond, not knowing what they would find but being ready to face anything with each other.

Because where Hiccup goes, they go.
