I watched as my father handed me my training dagger along with some arrows tip with poison, he never looked me in the eyes mostly because it was the law, you only ever looked someone in the eyes when you were going to kill someone in the world where the dead rule all. “My son you will be going to a village where seven will hang, you will guide them to our realm when their bodies will drop” my father spoke with little to no emotions, but I simply kept quiet knowing better than to speak when he was speaking. All i did was a simple nod then he walked back to the guards that were always nearby “You better watch out for faes!”i heard my sister Maeve who was behind waiting for our father to leave “You know the rules once you see a fae no matter how young or how old you must end it life "she spoke with smug smile while she was messing with her pet viper who named is Little fang due to our younger brother naming it before he was killed.
I felt my eyes roll as I walked past her “I know the law Maev, I am next in line to take over for Father "I spat. She smirked then looked up at me which wasn’t hard since she was almost the same height as me even with the shoes she was wearing “Oh I know dear brother of mine, but you know i love pissing you off" she smirked then walked off. I stared at her as she walked away “You're lucky we can’t fight anymore!”I yelled as she walked away then I sighed then walked towards where the portal is to where I was being sent to “If I see a fae I will kill them on the spot" I spoke loud enough for all around me to hear.
I closed my red and purple eyes to make them brown to look more human was i walked into the portal then i re opened them to see a forest that was tall but i smelled all sort of magic and more so fae magic which made me gag but i started to walk around trying to find the village where death will be needed. I noticed the sounds of animals that I haven't heard in a long time but again it been almost ten years since I was in this forest, i was 12 when I lost my brother in this forest and now i was 22 already to fight any fae i see since they are the reason why my brother is dead. “I will make sure all the fae remembers not to mess with us dear brother "I muttered under my breath as I stared held a gem that was hanging off the necklace that was around my neck.
Galaxy
I felt Asa lick my face with his large tongue then i slowly raise off my bed then open my eyes and stare face with Asa and his fluffy brown fur self “Come on Princess, you need to get up" I heard Asa said in my head due to our soul bound we got that every forest fae has with their familiar “I know i know”I spoke in my head due to fact i haven’t been able to speak since well ever. I lean off my royal purple bed then peek outside of the window, but I was pushed away from Asa “Oh no you don’t I need to get yelled at by the higher ups from you falling out of the window again”he spat again in our link minds. I smirked while gaining a new idea “How about a trip to glow lake we don’t have anything plan” without even need to look as Asa i knew he was holding back a sigh but i also knew he loved that lake due to story behind it “Fine but get you bathing suit this time, i don’t think you would wanna let everyone creature out to see you in wet clothes or just nude all together” he teased about the last part due to what happened months ago.
After packing some spare clothes and towels for both me and Asa we slowly walked out of my room out into the large garden that i live right outside of “hopefully we don’t get caught by Heart or her fanboys “I heard Asa muttered out loud which made me almost cover his mouth which is hard to do since just by walking on all fours he very much taller than me by a two foot and half which always made me bit angry. “You need to not speak her name or you will summon her! And i don’t need more lessons in how to make weapons out random things” I glare at him which he just rolled his hazel eyes “Hey I get free food out of it” he spoke with sassy tone “Your my familiar you always get free food” I said in my brain and gave of look of tired of his jokes which made him laugh.
After a while we reached the lake that was hidden by purple flowers and purple leaves that hung on trees that lightly dance due to small breeze that made the air so warm due to the summer starting “The air feels so nice on my fur” Asa spoke while he sat near the lake while I sat next to him then lean on his shoulder then started to pet his shoulder “Heh I know you aree…” Asa stopped mid sentence and looked over his shoulder. I looked up at him as i was confused but then i felt something new in forest “It's not human, it something else but i am not sure what is” Asa muttered then I looked over back into forest where I know the village is “Yeah something is off, it feels like death due to quiet when animals are normally dancing or making their sounds” I knew Asa heard me in our mindlink due to fact he nodded. Asa ears flattened then he stood up and stood in front of me “The smell is close, Its something i have never smell before or been told about" he spoke loudly for all the other animals to hear which was normal because I am forest fairy and the next in line to be ruler of fae in this part of the realm.
