Work Text:
Agent Stone sits on the couch in the Crab, grimacing as he accidentally tugs a pinfeather he didn’t realize wasn’t ready.
“Stone,” Robotnik mumbles, staggering out of the bedroom without any of his mobility aids.
The agent lifts his head and quickly gets up to help him.
“Doctor, you shouldn’t be up right now,” he insists. He dutifully brings him to sit.
“Quit your incessant worrying. Cats have 9 lives,” he says, as if his tail isn’t curling around his sycophant’s waist.
“Yes, but you’re also mostly human."
“Don’t remind me.”
They curl up on the couch together, the doctor's tail swishing contentedly as he falls asleep.
