Work Text:

“Philip? I'm home. Did you clean as I asked?” Damien muttered, entering their now clean apartment. They had recently moved in together to cut back on prices so they could have some company. In his time living with Pip, he found out that he wasn't too fond of a certain group of people.
“Oh, yes. It was tiresome, but I did the job,” Pip chirped, entering the room with a smile, “Did work go well? Meet anyone new? Anything?”
“No,” *Damien replied pushing past him and flopping onto the sofa, “I guess I did meet a…guy. He was nice. He helped me when I dropped my coffee. He was attractive…”
Pip's mouth twitched in disgust.
“Oh, that's nice, innit? Bet he made you REAL happy,” Pip said in mock happiness. His nose scrunched up a little bit, “I just don't understand what you see in men. It’s wrong! It’s disgusting. If you can't put a baby in it, what is the point?” Pip hissed.
“Love?” Damien let out a nervous chuckle. If he was being honest he was scared Pip would kick him out or declare his hatred to him. He didn't want to lose his best friend, but his friend was hurting him.

That night, Damien lay in bed. He had gotten in several hours ago but had yet to fall asleep. He was tired, angry, upset, and confused. He rolled over
“If a man as kind as Pip can be so cruel,” He thought. He heard a creak from the door. He looked up. Pip was there. He peeked through a small crack in the door. His eyes widened when he realized Damien had seen him.
“Oh, hello, Damien! I… thought I heard you… That's all,” Pip muttered, opening the door a little bit, “I didn't mean to intrude, really….”
Damien sighed.

“Come here, Phil,” he beckoned Pip forward.
“I'm sorry,” he whispered. Pip sat on the side of Damien’s bed, “I've just been thinking about earlier…I was raised to hate people who were different, yet I feel so happy for them. Jealous even. I can't lie, I've looked at men like that a few times.”
“Who do you want to be?” Damien asked, “I won't judge. Cross my heart.”

“I think I'm gay.”
“And I will support,” Damien whispered, pulling him into an embrace.

“Thank you, Damien.”
