Work Text:
“What?” Lara giggled girlishly. Her head dipped to the side just a little. A curly loc of dark blue hair fell into her eyes.
“Nothing, it’s just…” Manon blinked at her, grinning even wider almost by default.
“Tell me!” Lara nudged her by the shoulder, Manon leaned back dramatically, as if the push had actually compelled her to move.
“You’re just so beautiful.” She admitted, the words tumbling out of her lips like laughter. However, in that moment, Lara’s stopped.
Her smile began to fade, and suddenly Manon was afraid that she had said something wrong. But no, this look meant something different, the absence of Lara’s smile wasn’t indicative of discomfort, but rather astonishment. As if she was realizing something for the first time.
The two girls gazed at each other for a slight moment, reckoning with this shift in energy. And then all at once, they collided.
And it felt so right. Two sets of lips that sang together so often finally touching, finally tasting.
The wondering was over. Now they knew for sure.
