"Aud, not this again." Rowan would sigh. Taking Audreys wrist and pulling her from the rooftop.
Audrey didn't speak. Didn't react. It had been hard for her mentally. Knowing everything she loved was gone, and wa never going to let her come back. Jumping off high buildings had been a soothing few seconds to forget.
Though the pain of the ending was always something shed never forget. The breaking of her bones, the disfigured limbs, the blood. Yes, she would heal. There was still pain, and a quick moment of injury.
But Rowan couldn't watch as a young girl did what would kill most. He'd guide her to the fire. Helping her into a sleeping bag, covering her with a blanket.
Rowan would watch as her eyes flicker shut, he worried about Audrey. Worried she'd run off, or her flesh wouldn't heal when shed jump. He worried he'd lose her, and he could prevent it. He was all she had left and he knew it.
"Love you Aud." Rowan would sigh, kissing her forehead as he tended to the fire.
