There was a blur of people running to get the safety team, despite there being nothing they could do. He fell to his knees at one point, he wasn’t sure when. He couldn’t bring himself to walk over to the shattered glass, he could barely look at it. Until it set in. She was gone. His eyes unblurred slightly, and he looked up at where she hit the ground, seeing Bot standing to the side, their eyes wide. They hadn’t even retracted their legs to the default length, they hadn’t even moved, but Fan couldn’t be talking there, he was still kneeling on the ground, the incident still not fully registered in his head. Tears welled in his eyes, the shock slowly fading into sadness. Sadness couldn’t describe the emotion he was feeling, actually. His thoughts were racing and nonexistent at the same time. His heart was beating faster than normal, but nothing was normal. There was no one waking him up from this nightmare, he wasn’t about to be greeted with an awkward smile from the one he loved so dearly. He could almost feel her hand on his shoulder– Wait, there is a hand on his shoulder, but when he turned around, expecting her, he was met with Paintbrush, who had run to the scene with the rest of the safety crew. They had a sympathetic look on their face, but not pity. He could feel their eyes still staring when he averted his gaze.
“...I won’t know what to do without her.”
