Numbness, What does it mean to feel numb?
To feel nothing is what most would say
But what does nothingness feel like?
I believe feeling nothing is to not want to live nor die
You can’t feel sad nor happy
Mad? Definitely not
And don’t even get me started on empathy
Emotionally I feel empty
I can’t feel anything no matter how hard I try
To feel nothing is be a tree someone is mad at
Yeah they might yell at you but you can’t feel anything
To some people this seems like a dream you can’t get mad or sad at anything
But the people who feel nothing don’t think that way
The only thing we want is to feel something
It could be pain, sadness or joy
It doesn’t matter what we feel we just want to feel something
I’d give anything to feel
I don’t even care if it’s pain or excruciating sadness
I want to feel
I want to feel anything as feeling is something that makes you human
I want to be normal
I just want to be human
To feel nothing is to be numb
And to be numb is to feel nothing
