Chapter Text

Around 7:30 p.m., Gao Tu arrived at his old apartment after receiving a text from the landlord that he had accidentally left a box behind. Gao Tu picked up the box and looked inside. There was a photo frame of him and Wenlang, a bottle of orange juice, and some other small items. He took the photo frame and sighed. Ever since the incident at the restaurant three days ago, he and Wenlang had not met. He still couldn’t forget Wenlang’s betrayed expression, and Gao Tu was scared — what if Wenlang really intended to abort their child?

Just as Gao Tu was about to leave with the box, a strong scent of iris reached his nose. His eyes widened, and he froze. Shen Wenlang can’t know I’m here…

Unconsciously, Shen Wenlang was walking toward Gao Tu’s apartment, his body burning and uncontrollable. Even the neighbors’ voices didn’t stop him; everyone wore masks, hiding from him. Wenlang knocked on Gao Tu’s door. “Gao Tu! Come out! Gao Tu!”

Hearing Wenlang’s voice, Gao Tu was shocked. He covered his mouth and nose with his hands to avoid smelling the pheromones and to stay silent so Wenlang wouldn’t know he was inside. “Gao Tu!! Gao Tu!!” The knocking grew harder and more frantic, terrifying Gao Tu. Is Wenlang angry? Is he going to abort our child? Gao Tu tried desperately to stay quiet, but Wenlang’s iris scent made his breath unsteady.

“Stop making a fuss! If you don’t, I’ll call the police!” shouted one of the omega neighbors, masked and cautious. But nothing could stop Wenlang. He continued pounding on the door and shouting Gao Tu’s name, especially when he caught the scent of sage from inside. “Gao Tu! I know you’re in there! Open the door! I missed you so much, Gao Tu!!”

Hearing that, Gao Tu panicked even more. Did Wenlang really know he was inside? What should he do? He couldn’t escape — there were no windows to jump from, and jumping would be too dangerous for the baby. With the neighbors’ alarmed voices filling the hallway, Gao Tu closed his eyes and, with determination, opened the door.

Wenlang froze upon seeing Gao Tu. Gao Tu was equally surprised. Wenlang looked disheveled — his eyes red, hair messy, wearing only pajamas and slippers. “Shen… mmhm,” Gao Tu tried to speak, but his words stopped when Wenlang kissed him forcefully. Gao Tu’s eyes widened in shock. He tried to push him away, but Wenlang deepened the kiss and used his leg to close the door.

Gao Tu struggled, but his body betrayed him. Wenlang’s scent and heat made him dizzy. In short breaths, Wenlang looked at him with desperate eyes. “Gao Tu… I need you…” Gao Tu, feeling faint, tried to escape, but Wenlang pulled him into a back hug, burying his nose in Gao Tu’s sage-scented skin.

“You smell good…” Wenlang whispered.

“Shen Wenlang… let me go…” Gao Tu begged, desperate.

“No. I will never let you go again. Gao Tu, you’re mine!”
